also, the fact that most camry sold, like accords, are the i4 models.

Furthermore, it can be a base ES330 vs. a loaded Camry. The ES330 is only a few grand more, but it has a much nicer interior, more features than the Camry (at least in the base ES330 gets heated&ventilated memory seats standard, for example, while the loaded Camry does not. The Lexus is also quieter (less NVH) and has one touch up/down for all windows, plus better materials and perforated leather). All that alone is worth the price over a Camry IMO.

Coupe spied at Vtec.net

Accord Coupe Spy Shots

It looks like the rims are straight from the old TL/CL! And the headrests as well

^ So you noticed the headrests in those pics too. Makes you wonder if the 06 TSX is going to get LED taillights now that the Accord has them.

Under the old SAE calculations the HP output should be around 169-170 for the K24 and 248-250 for the V6.

253/232? That's almost like a last-gen TL-S!
Glad they changed the rear but it almost looks like a Ford 500. It's still better.

I guess that's what the new navi looks like, too? Looks like they just reskinned it.

Why is the rear bar thinner on the V6?

That 6MT V6 should be pretty quick, but that SE LX looks good too.

My guess would be that w/ gas now costing like $2.60/gallon -- stressing horsepower/performance over MPG/fuel economy is causing the lack of interest.

It also irked me how you could only get it in the top-of-the-line model but Toyota/Lexus are doing the same thing so I guess that is the norm.

Looks a lot better then the '05 Accord. They should've also given the front a face lift with projector headlights etc.

Much better! I still can't believe the power on the hybrid. Is this just a result of the new calculations (causing the numbers to increase), or did Honda tweak things like the exhaust and intake for more power?

My 03 Accord goes off lease in late November. I guess I'll pick up one of these since it was a pretty trouble-free 3 years. I wasn't going to get another Accord because I didn't want the exact same car, but these changes are enough for me to get another.

The feature list is making me cringe though, who's going to want to buy my used TSX in 4 years when this year's Civics and Accords have the same or better equipment?? A 98 Accord had almost the same feature list as a 2002!

That's cause they were the same car - little changed back then. Things are more competitive now and makers have to stay fresh. This Accord has less than 2 years left before the new model comes out and you can bet that model will have even more features.

There'll be takers of a 4 year old TSX just as there are now - the only thing that will change is that the resale values will come down closer to historic values (cause now they are a bit high).

Biker, who drives a 99 Accord and is very tempted by that V6 6MT.

Okay, now look carefully (very carefully) at the tachometer.. look beside the gear position indicator. Am I the only one who sees a dark black box? Is that the smart maintenance light, or is that a possible SportShift box?

I think that a lot of changes have got to be due to competition from Mazda who treats their cars as if they are luxury .... 4 year warranties, Xenon lights, nav, heated seats ... even on the 3 - so it I can understand why they are upping the Civics & Accords.

In turn, I hope that this means that Acura will also be making changes like a 5 year warranty & what not ...
