It has the Maxima side profile. At least the GS350 doesn't have front overhangs like that.
I love how the camo is specially made to show off the grille.

It looks like an Accord on steroids from the side--look at the side windows, including the covered rear quarter panel. The short rear overhang looks nice. Looks buff. Personally, I like the looks of my handsome 2G RL better. With the RL, I've got over 300 hp (taking my mods into account) and SH-AWD. However, I'll have to wait until the full reveal to make further comment.

that's great, all the sedans in the acura family looks like shit, great job acura. they even recycled the side mirrors from the 3rd gen pre-mmc (just added a signal indicator)...i hope the a-spec will save this vehicle.
we can thank all you fat-asses for bloating up these cars...

yeah, that rear reminds me of the new gen accord coupe fused with the maxima rear. i can see the lexus GS reference too.
that grille is really just foul. somewhere in japan, executives from all the other major car manufactuers are lighting up cigars, drinking sake, and laughing at that thing.

When I see that I wonder: who the hell was in the focus group that thought that was good looking?
The guy who came up with the grill just needs to go.

god it looks so FAT! Matter of fact I park beside the current gen TL with my 99TL. I still think they made the right shape with 99-03 TL's.

Eagle-eyed Ohioan Sean Wolfe spotted this TL prototype undergoing testing over the weekend. Here you can clearly see that the '09 TL will have a keyless entry/ignition system. We have also heard that it will also have pushbutton start.

as i've grown to like the new TSX, i'll wait until we see actual pics of the TL.
so far, i'm not shocked by what i've seen. the grille is obviously going to be there, and it looks to have gotten bigger.

Def looks like a cross between and Altima and GS; I don't really like it. I had an 04 Maxima and I personally thought it looked good. I drove it multiple times before I decided to get that instead of the G35 sedan. It didn't take long for me to realize what a bad decision that was. It felt like I was driving a barge and the torque steer was absolutely terrible. I just don't know why I didn't catch all of that during my multiple test drives but I finally had to get rid of it and sold it to a private party, I took a big loss but I had to get out of it. But considering I hated the ride and the fact I got ripped BIG TIME I think I made the right decision. I heard the Torque steer on the Maxima has gotten a lot better since the 04 model, but I dunno.
Back to this new TL, I will probably be keeping mine especially since I hope to have it paid off by the end of the year. I liked the current gen TL better than last gen, but I don't know if I will like 09 model better based on these pics alone. Still eager to see the final product though.

Gotta give it to the design team they put a lot of hard work into this new car
2004 mirror
+
2007 mirror light
=
2009 mirror (2004 mirror + 2007 light flipped over and put on the bottom)
damn that must have taken a lot of thought
oh and isnt the uphigh F1 style fuel door cool as well. should be able to hook one of those tanks up easily.

I guess all you folks who have the TL-S feel pretty good that whatever is coming at least won't look as good as what you have... and may even be slower/less performing. Now you know how all of us TSX folks feel.

it's me, Alan Rickman.
It almost reminds me of the the mid 90's CL.. where it looked like you could drive the car backwards because the back looked like a front...
BUT!!!... Look at the passenger door handle.. it has a BUTTON! Not a key hole! Yay *push button start not needing a key anymore* [maybe..]

It's so funny that everyone is like pissing in their pants and jumping up and down for keyless entry and push button start, hahaha that has been on even a Nissan for crying out loud since 2006. Acura: Advance from being late into the crowd.

...just when everyone else went from the one pieces to push starts.

I actually saw the new TSX on the road yesterday on my way to work. It was black with tints...looks so much better in person Believe it or not, the grille kind of works I'd still color match it though.I can't believe its almost as long as the G sedan though...
I can't tell whats going on with the TL, but the rims look pretty nice lol. The car is covered in camo, but the side profile still looks better than the G35 sedan and IS. Everytime I see the ISx50 from a rear 3/4 view on the road, I throw up a little.

I'm surprised how everyone is talking about the side mirror is copied from the 04 style, but no one seems to be complaining about the side skirt? And what about the door handles? A cross between the 2nd gen (chrome) and the 3rd gen (styling)?

dunno why people were hoping the TL wouldn't get the grille. after seeing the RL and TSX, it was obvious the TL was gonna have one too.
same with the TL's size. all cars are getting bigger than their previous models.

at least with the 07 TL it has autostart so you just have to click it briefly to the ignition point and it'll autostart for you.
on the other hand the push starts where you can keep the key in your wallet/purse/pocket... thats sweet

and acura has had those the 2005 RL, not too many cars had them in 2004 for it to be in the TL.
they probably had to wait until the redesign to incorporate it.

Ever since Nissan started using push buttons it has ALWAYS been so you don't need to take the key out of your pocket/purse.
