acura is headed in the wrong direction, even if power/tranny/model options were everything we've been asking for, they'd still be fugly. that new grill has to go ASAP

new RL = fugly
new TSX = fugly
latest MDX = fugly
RDX = fugly
TL = not sure
previous NSX concepts = fugly

NOTE TO ACURA: your new design cues = FAIL

Very sad for an an apparent engine company.

I guess A-Vtec and that V10 are taking all their resources.

Ugh. AWD 300 HP Acura TL.

Sure it sounds good on paper. But is $40k + worth it for an Acura TL?

but the MMC RL was gonna fail anyways.

but now, i guess even fewer people will buy the RL.

unless the TL is just hideous looking and depending on pricing, i think it and the TSX will still sell well. though i find it hard to justify paying near mid-30's for the TSX.

When I was getting an oil change at Acura on a Saturday, hardly anyone was looking at Acuras in the showroom. I was literally the only one just curiously looking around. Everyone else was there waiting in the service area for their car to get serviced. Ever since the RSX was canned, the crowds also have all been older people too. Then, I went next door to the Lexus and then Infiniti dealer next to that and lots more people were car window shopping there.
in all fairness though, acura, at the moment, hasn't given a reason to have customers in the showrooms. except the MDX, their lineup is old except the RSX, which is just unpopular.

i'd imagine more customers will be looking when the new models come in.

and personally, i'm glad the RSX isn't available anymore and the demographic's older.

^Agreed. With all 3 cars due for a redesign, its no surprise traffic at the dealer is sparse.

100% agree.

People complaining -> company listening => improved products.
People complaining -> company not listening => junks nobody wants to buy.

It also feels good to vent a little.

I think most of us want to see Acura succeed or did at one point or we wouldn't be here. Nothing wrong with voicing an opinion.

The idiots supposed to REDESIGN the OBSOLETE ENGINE

Still rubber timing belt ?
Still suck... pardon me SOHC?
No Direct injection?
No techonology similar to Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL)?

When da hell are we going to see awesome engines with techonology similar to VQ37HR or N54?

.... NEVA

Sure, but just think how smooth and fuel efficient an ALL-NEW Honda 3.5L V6 could be.

On the other hand now I'm hoping that Acura's sales completely tank and they end up listening for once.

So do I. But I doubt it will happen. The RL is probably the exception rather than the norm. The FWD TL will still sell well, and the little TSX will continue to surprise with its sales number.

Ugh. AWD 300HP Acura TL.

I wonder if the lot of you that are this excited have spent a lot of time driving the "300HP AWD" RL. It's pretty slow. It really looks like the trend of the previous gen type-S being faster than the new premium version is going to continue... although in this case, the previous TWO gen type-S's will be faster than the new premium version.

How about acura ADVANCE to RWD or at least give the people 330+ to compete with infiniti & bmw.

wait, who's excited?

but now's the time to jump on the TL Type-S.

from the looks of the RL and TSX, i'm not expecting much from the new TL. the interior will look nice as always, but i hope it doesn't go button-happy like the TSX.

i wonder if they'll include the cassette player again.
