Some observations.....

-No 3 spoke steering wheel ala TSX which was rumored
-Moonroof controls have to be on the roof (since they aren't to the left of the steering wheel)
-Silver Grill trim looks satin silver and not shiny/chrome looking (just like the concept)
-Exhaust looks better to me in these pics (more integrated)
-Love that the door pockets appear to be the kind that pull out to store larger items
-Love the machine finished knobs on the stereo
-The only thing that really I don't like is the rear license plate surround. It would look so much better if it were body colored.

Awesome pictures.

Lycos, I thought in another thread you mentioned having some other colors too.

Sorry I didn't get picks of the blue and desert mist, this is when I was having a CD burned. I'm old fashioned and still use film (if you can believe that). Anyway, the blue looks very much like the current TL blue (not the aegean blue), but the darker one. The other color is the same as on the RSX. They also had that gold color, which didn't look good on the car.

Now if Edmunds or autospies get these shots, I want money!!! Just kidding,.........I think.

Glad you all enjoyed these shots, now How am I gonna live with my 03 TL-S

I am thrilled to see the four spoke steering wheel!!

With the missing moonroof switch, I also noticed what seems to be an empty fog/driving light switch.

To me, the exhaust outlets are too small in relation to the cut-out size.

The stereo controls and interior trim look great!

Did you guys notice regular windshield wipers? So much for those rumors about the vents.

Well, that was pretty much a given. Unless the US government passes new laws windshield wipers are required.

I also agree with whoever said the wheels are too small. Throw some 18's or 19's on that and I think you have a whole new car.

I cannot tell if there is a panel on the door for memory seats?!?

It also looks like the transmitter for the keyless entry is not integrated into the key. Lame!

The Brembos are probably part of the HPT package which is only 6MT. Speaking of which, Lycos. Were there any 6MT's TLs there?

I think the car looks sweet EXCEPT for a few things...

STEERING WHEEL - Looks like they swiped it off of the Star Trek Enterprise.

FRONT BUMPER - The word "Acura" stamped into the plastic is cheesy as hell and screams "Pontiac"!!! Thank God it will be covered by the front license plate.

FRONT HEADLIGHTS - Cool, but a little too small in relation to the rest of the vehicle. Wheels look ok, but bigger wouldn't hurt...

Too bad that concept cars always have the cool stuff stripped off once they go into production. God forbid that we ever replace technologically advanced items like wiper blades...

It could be the led's, but it looks like all of the power window switches have writing on them.

It would be great if all windows were auto up/down.

In the 4th and 5th picture up from the bottom there are some buttons visible in the silver trim on the drivers door. Those might be them.

Either way, I can't imagine Acura doing away with this feature in a competitive segment such as this. If I remember correctly a lack of memory seats was one of the main complaints on the 99 TL and that was car was released 5 years ago.

Saw that button the first time, but assumed it was for the power locks.

I noticed that too, but I think they did not photograph well.

If those are halogen lights, that is a deal breaker for me.

Wouldn't the door lock button be the one next to the door handle which looks like it has a pictogram of a closed lock and an open lock?

Also, there are at least 2 buttons in the silver trim leading me to believe they might be labeled "Memory 1", "Memory 2" and so on.

i'm pretty sure they are the same projector xenons as in the tsx They are very dependent on angle for how they look. Straight on they are purple and bright as shit though.

I will say it again, in the words of Marv Albert, "Yesssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!" All praises to the Seattle crew and others responsible for tracking down the location of the car!

I am so excited. I can't wait to get mine! This car looks absolutely great. Acura has come with the heat on this one. The competition will definitely be put on notice.

:flamer:

I'm hoping the HPT model will come with 18s, tighter suspension and Brembo brakes. I'd be just fine with what's shown in the picture. The only thing I'd do is upgrade the wheels. The body is way too muscular for these wheels. I'm sure it's a ride, cost, handling, comfort thing that landed them on the car.

My only knock against the car is that it has a tape deck in it? I mean, come on... is this really necessary? Bluetooth, DVD Audio, Navigation and a... tape deck?? Come on Acura!!

Otherwise, I am very happy! Nice job Acura!

Not too suprising, my 2002 Passat doesn't have one on the Passenger side and neither does my Civic if I remember correctly.

i'm not sure if anyone posted already, but i noticed that there is no signal indicator on the side mirrors like the tsx. i like how my tsx has those signal indicators. wonder why the tl doesn't have them.

i also like the little knobs where the radio is. that's pretty cool.

also like the little navi controller that's metal (instead of the black one in the tsx).

i don't like the line where the door handles are as people have been arguing about.

are you guys sure about the steering wheel shifter? i don't think that's a shifter but there are two extra buttons on the wheels other than the ones on the tsx. what are they?

the cup holder and ebrake positions have been swaped.

the tl has blue lights on the radio controllers... pretty cool imo.

those are my random thoughts. feel free to reply.

They're at the end of the accent crease, about mid-way into the quarter panel. Just like the concept.
