They're in deeper than I thought. 'Chief' engineer seems a bit lost on the technicalities but seems stronger on the BS marketing fluff...hmmmm.

Someone in the TLX section quoted from Acura website stating that TLX 3.5 advance MSRP is $49,995.
isn't that $5000 more than current 4G?
I guess they are following the same suicide pricing structure.
BTW: i can't find it on the site.

The $49,995 price can be found under item #5 here: http://www.acura.com/ThrillRules.aspx
I guess we will find out soon enough if that's the actual MSRP or not. That's a pretty big jump. With that said, I am more concerned of the base price of the 2.4 model.
... 2015 Acura TLX Advance SH-AWD. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the prize is $49,995...

For reference, the RLX MSRP is right at $49k.

ToV: What size tank we talking?
Mat Hargett: Awe, man.... 65 liters? I don't know. [Chuckles] I haven't converted that to, umm, gallons yet.

I guess he didn't expect to get interviewed, much less get asked questions about the car, otherwise he would have brushed up on the car's specs.
Then ToV wants us to believe that 17 liters = 17.2 gallons ???

So basically they are using RLX as the price structure.
Top of the line TLX = Base RLX
Top of the line ILX = Base TLX $32,500 with destination and handling.
Similar to what everyone else is doing, which is still a good value since many features are standards even on base TLX. but at that price, fully loaded according V6 > Base 4 banger TLX.
and the bigger problem is RLX is priced too high.

I wish they'd kept the athletic red for the car, that was more visually stunning.

Acura NEEDS to fire this marketing team as well and hire someone that will actually make people want to watch and not get up to go to the bathroom

It just doesn't seem cohesive with the brand identity. People don't think athletic when you mention Acura. The campaign might work on say a brand like Maserati or Alfa Romeo. I'm sure one clever ad whiz mentioned the idea in a meeting and everyone agreed due to their own lack of creative insight.
I'm a marketing major and definitely have taken note of their campaign.

You must be a big fan of the flick Ground Hog Day, because we already discussed pricing many pages back.
IMO the "Advance" package nannies are superfluous and overrated. The only people who pay full price at launch are the fanboys. 50k is allegedly the full kit version and we all know that real world pricing is a different story. Marketing 101: consumers love to get a "discount" from MSRP.
As stated earlier, I suspect the V6 9AT TECH will have average transaction prices closer to 42k and at that level is a reasonable value relative to the competition. Especially relative to Chuck's MKZizzle and Regal GSizzle.

I think the Fusion is a GREAT looking car. Unfortunately, the letdown happens as soon as you sit inside.
1. Interior ergonomics is a letdown.
2. Sync is a letdown.
3. Turbo lag is a letdown.
4. Underdamped suspension (not as bad as MKZ) is a letdown
5. Understeer is a letdown.
6. Sound system is a MAJOR letdown.
7. Crappy halogen lighting is a letdown.
Bottom line is I wanted to like the Fusion more than the substance of the car allows for.
My 6MT blows away the Fusion in all areas other than exterior styling.
But thanks for responding in your own words rather then letting the BRZ mafia post another enlightening GIF.

I really don't care about anything you just spewed out on your keyboard. And actually I barely skim read your post. The part I did see was about the sound system in the Ti -- you're deaf.
