Technically the TL has a 4 year shelf life. (99-03; 04-08, 09-please kill it now).
It wouldnt surprise me if they do keep it for 5 years though.

Each one of those periods comprises five model years, e.g. 99, 00, 01, 02, 03, so a new TL should not be expected until the 2014 model year, which is a little over three years from now. We're stuck with this one for a long three years.

it's too late to fix it. even if they toned down the power plenum grille, it'll still sit higher than the headlights, which is one of the fundamental problems to begin with. overhang is just too long, doesn't look like that's getting fixed.
