But 45K however, I might have to consider a slightly used 08-09 RL for my next purchase or maybe even an 09 IS250 AWD, which would then top out at only +- 40K MSRP.
Well, I think this is a must buy for you then, since the top-of-the-line TL SH-AWD with Tech package goes for $42k.

Just because you don't like the rear end, doesn't mean everyone hates it.

Besides, being 29 year old and not giving a crap about others with their taste deserves a thumb down itself. Shoot, can I give you a thumb down if you look ugly in person??

I don't care what anyone thinks about any car, if someone just gave me a thumbs down while I was driving at a normal speed, I would give them the finger. A thumbs down is just immature.

Where did you get the info for that? I thought pricing hasn't been announced yet for the car?

If I can get it for about 42K OTD with the Tech package, I might just take the plunge. But I'd wait a while to see how un/popular this car might be...

"Official pricing hasn't been released yet, but Acura gave us a range of $34,000 to $42,000"

So $42000 is the maximum.

LOL,

How would you feel if someone gives you a thumbsdown? Do you think they can do that cause its free country? You can do that in every country in the world thats not "free country" too.....

Free country means having a free basic human rights from the government.

Free country does not mean you can be an Asshole, disrespectful, douchbag as you please.

eh..no.

Base is 34k, a loaded SHAWD model is 42k. Don' see whats hard to understand here?

When the TSX first came out - I saw the grille and found it "iffy". Now a few months in, I actually like the look of the car, and find the old one to be dated.

It appears that the driving experience of this new TL is vastly superior to the old one. I just read a review on left lane news that said that the handling was fantastic, and that the quality of the interior was top notch. I personally love the unique look of the rear, especially with the quad pipes, and actually, honestly, wholeheartedly like...yes like... the front as well. Each is entitled to his/her opinion, and this is my

Kudos to Acura for taking some design risks and for building what appears to be another top notch car that is a steal at 42k fully loaded. A freakin loaded CTS hits near 50k with AWD, and you cant even begin to configure a 335xi for 42k!

About the only 'negative' I see with this car - OUT WITH the bloody 5 speed (even if it is very good per leftlanes review), and in with some 7/8 speed (maybe even dual clutch) goodness! That'll give fuel economy and performance and easy boost

usually, but not in this case. $42k is the top of the line SH-AWD model with technology package, unless you include all weather mats..gold emblems...touch-up paint..etc...

Does this really have to be explained to you?

Walk into an Acura dealer and give it the Leave people who bought the car because they liked it alone.

Well, being in a free country does mean you can be an asshole, disrespectful, douchbag, etc...

But just because you can do something or be a certain way doesn't mean you should. Unfortunately someone forgot to teach that lesson to most young people these days.

Honestly, besides the god-awful grille and lack of RWD option, I kinda like the TL.

Wrong. You do have the freedom to be an asshole, disrespectful, & a douchebag....hence why there are so many around.

When was the last time you saw the douchebag police arrest someone for being a douche?

Im impressed with the reviews as well. Haven't seen a single bad review yet, and A LOT of the reviews claim that the car actually looks good in person.

I like the bold styling move, and am liking the car more and more per the reviews I'm reading.

LOL, i knew it.

When this car picture first leaked out, people were freaking out and crying how ugly it is...

And now Sloooooooooooooooooowly people get "grow" on this car look.LOL!!!

Its funny to see these losers to this all the time when new car comes out.

When the 3rd gen TL came out, people were freaking out saying how ugly it was, and later everyone loves it.

It will be the same thing to this 4th gen TL. Sooner or later, This car will be popular

Who you call losers? They have their own opinions and opinions can change over period of time, design perspective of cars are especially so in my opinion. Things sometimes take time to grow on people. It was really disappointing at the beginning, but it's slowly growing on me as well.

Did you honestly think the new TL was a successful design front to back when the first picture was leaked?

lol but a lot of people won't admit and keep saying the TL is ugly even though they are starting to like it....even when they know it's a great car they will keep saying it's ugly...that's human being...sadly..

I NEVER make the final decision of the car design before I see it in real life.

Seeing the car on pictures compared to seeing it with your own eyes is totally different.

I bet that most of the people who were shouting how UGLY 4th generation are, will change their opinions once they see it in real life. ( I see this cycle everytime!!!!!!!!!!!!!) And some of these people will end up buying 4th Gen TL...LOL

I liked the 3G TL a lot when I first saw the concept, even. The production version looked great too, and the only thing to grow on me was the indent lines on both sides of the car. I didn't like the TSX that much when I first saw pics of it, but it slowly grew on me, and I eventually liked it (except for the grill). Then I saw it in person.... didn't grow on me that much, if anything I somewhat liked it less because of the 3/4 rear angle, but I still liked it BEFORE I even saw it in pictures. The Audi grill also quickly grew on me....

I don't need to see a Pontiac Aztek in person to know its a ugly piece of crap. The TL may grow on me, but I still don't like how it looks, and people easily forget that some cars look even worse in person than in pictures.

I saw an 09 TL SH-AWD at the MotoGP race at Indy. I spotted the grill a mile away and went to investigate and sure enough it was a TL. All badging was removed from the car. It was silver and had Ohio manufacturer plates. I actually liked it alot and I think more people will warm up to it when they see it in person. The interior is gorgeous by the way.

People are definitely changing their mind, which I guess is a good thing to Acura. For me the grille still doesn't look right, but compared to a month ago, it doesn't look as ugly now, even in pictures.

The rear end has grown on me a little bit, but I still find the front odd looking, and the grille far too big. Hopefully Ronjon can do something with the grille. I want to like this car, but I'm still having a hard time with certain aspects of it.

I'm not liking this new design direction the more I see it. In fact, I like it less and less each time. But the TL's problems IMO are much more than styling alone.

I take more of an issue with the fact that it weighs 4000lbs, is only adequately powered compared to most of the competition, uses a somewhat old tech engine and tranny and uses the Accord as a starting point.

As for the initial positive reviews. Keep in mind that they're first drives, not full road tests. I have a feeling they won't be so glowing when the car is stacked up against others in full reviews.

Jeff at TOV has a nice writeup that most of us can probably relate to.

I just hope that they really follow through with the next round of vehicles, since that is when they say we'll see Tier 1 vehicles. They've left a lot of people disappointed (not to mention scared, lol) with this design direction.

It's tough to see these current redesigns because I think so many of us had a lot of hope and expected to see something totally different. It's impossible to give us what we want when these cars are based off the same ones as before (TL, RL, US Accord and TSX & Euro Accord). Back to the waiting game for another 5 years.

Wait, yes - 5 years, I hope not. Acura already said something new will debut before the NSX replacement so the new direction cars should start showing up in less than 2 years.
