dude... THANK YOU!!!!! Was such a great purchase.

it's amazing how 'creamy' this little thing it. the focus fades in and out so smoothly though, its hard to see the transition while in the viewfinder though

example

just all the way backed out...

like i said, car is crazy dirty. not getting any extra water on there than necessary though

those are pretty much all i got with the new one

Gorgeous shots...I actually took off my lense and tried wiping all the surfaces down as recommended by you guys. Hope I got all the dust off.

2 things...
who are those mexicans living across the street from you?
do I need to swing by your house with a tie wrap for that bottom bumper garnish you have hanging off!?!?

Also, 225's are fine...looks like you could even have gone 215 and have decent rim protection...hey, lighter and less patch on the ground for road noise.

hahahah that's my buddy(ryan)'s house and his neighbors.

i know i gotta take that off. the side that's dangling is only hanging because the other side tore off the bolt.

Yeah, that lens is badass. Now that you've gotten me in the mood, I'll clog up your thread with some of my favorite 50mm shots:

So crisp...

I usually sharpen them up a little in PS and tweak some other settings to my liking. It helps!

Thank you, playa!!

No sir, used same picnik tactics...maybe there was dust and stuff on the inside. I did open the whole thing up and wipe down any of the lenses that I could get my fingers on.

And it has better reviews than the one you posted.

Pleeeease don't put that on your D90. Those attachments kill the image quality. If you show me a picture taken with a real fisheye lens and the same scene taken with a fisheye attachment, the attachment pic will stand out like a fart in church. Especially near the edges, the fisheye attachments really deteriorate the IQ significantly. Remember...you get what you pay for. Of course, it's your money, but my opinion is a huge NO.

If you want a budget fisheye, there are other options:

Amazon Amazon

Amazon Amazon

^ Both of those are great, MF lenses that are very sharp.

jesus john those are like 10x the cost! gosh i hate looking through online stores...make me feel so poor lol.

One of my photo students brought this wide-angle lens to class and I tried it. I was impressed enough with the few shots I took that I ordered my own lens from Amazon.

I tested mine on a Nikon digital SLR with an 18-55mm zoom lens and on a Canon G5 compact digital camera with a 35mm to 140mm zoom lens (35mm equiv). On the Nikon, this wide-angle lens expanded the wide-angle coverage of the 18mm focal length to something wider than 14mm. On the Canon, this wide-angle lens expanded the wide-angle coverage of the 35mm focal length to slightly wider than 28mm. The macro portion of this lens was similar in performance to my +10 diopter supplemental close-up lens (also called a close-up filter by some).

After additional shots and tests, I can say without reservation--this lens produces decent quality wide-angle images and the macro portion produces decent quality close-up images. Yes, there is some darkening of the corners of the image (vignetting) and there is significant curving of straight lines (barreling) and there is some loss of detail on the edges. However, this lens is a great bargain and I will highly recommend it to future students.
\

idk, i think for 16$ + shipping its worth it. tyler had some nice shots through it!

edit: sorry, $11! shit is cheap!

Yeah, it's not as clear as a true wide angle lens. You get what you pay for

If you know you're going to be going to a meet or have a scheduled photoshoot and don't want to spend money on buying a new lens, go this route!

^ That's my dream fisheye! Right now, the GoPro will have to do...
