so yesterday was a gorgeous 50* out, with a light breeze here and there, so i went out shooting.

also got a video of the new resonator since its finally broken in all the way.

another side note, the sticker is "BoostinPerformance" a local subaru/mistubishi tuner who does great work, just repping the shop for him...good dude trying to get through this recession on a new business.

that's all for now. well one more and that's it.

well i have the resonator swapped and a test pipe for the mid muffler. on that video at least for me about 1/2 the youtube volume was about real life Db levels it seemed.

i figure dropping a cat for a resonator would equal out and then doing PCD's would be alright. i wouldn't mind it getting a tiny bit louder, as long as most of it is up top. right now my 2k-3k levels are way above the sounds in v-tec which is just...wrong.

I feel like every time you post pictures of your car, it's wet

Congrats on the 2 years! It'll be 4 years in July for me

What's next for the car? Maybe A-Spec lip?

hahaha, that is true. idk what it is but i love water droplets like way too much. plus they hide the scratches and the sap droplets

i think spacers will be next, then PCD's and then my clutch/timing service. i may wait on the PCD's to do the other stuff since it'll be a little pricey, but i really don't want to risk it anymore. i'm not certain if it was done yet (i have 163k already) and me and my mechanic (who is my uncle) said we'd start setting it up at 165k so i'm like right on that mark.

i'm coming around on the aspec. i kinda want to wait it out a little bit...the 07-08 bumpers are really really slick looking and since my bumper looks like this, i don't think the aspec would be worth it...you can see it's rippled, i think i crumpled the thing when i tapped the wall

so i think it would stick out even worse than now which would be blah.

obviously i also need to fix my hood/get a new one. i want to mod but i want to also be really confident that the car is pristine and like brand new.

if you can't tell i like to think out loud and i'm pretty darn indecisive, but don't usually regret things once i go through with them. slow and steady wins the race?

edit: i should also add, i'm pissed about my bumpers and hood because i've always been extremely anal, and this car has more damage than any i've owned so far. sometimes i look at it and feel like its a blemish on my 'history' as an enthusiast.

http://fb61223.offerpop.com/fb/canva...3/entry/176623

you can vote every 24 hours if you have a Facebook account. if i win i will get these wheels, for the price of shipping:

we got a LOT of snow in chicago on friday.

^^leaving work at about 1pm...

getting back into the area i live, there was 4.5" of snow by 4pm

only 1/8" between my mudflaps and the snow when i got home!!!!!

i think i got a nice DSLR shot of a snowy 'A' on the trunk, but didn't upload the pictures yet which i should have done

went to the carwash with my buddy, pulled out and our cars were steaming like a mofo

andddddddddddd whatever was with the parking lot my car looks like it has huge rear (-)camber

and unlike last year, i made it through the first storm without any incident. no ditches, no fender benders. all is good!

and that's it i guess. well, not entirely true. what kind of post would this be without my dog?

and now i'm done!

have a good day everyone!

i should. i always forget about them because they are greedy mofo's out here. i got quoted like $157 once for an intake resonator box, like $250 at dealer, so i just bought a CAI for $165.

if i had wheels i would just grab whatever hood was in good condition, and let someone graffiti the shit out of it then install.

Well more like no clay ever, I'm pretty sure I was the first person to wax it and I've only done it 3 or 4 times.. I got rained on with sap over the summer and that didn't help with all the scrubbing it needed to get off. And its got 163k and lives outside. Plus, its my first black car and my last two were silver, so I kinda never learned til now how pampered I was before.

Middle initial is R.

I feel your pain with the damage. My car has been hit 3 times now while I was parked (never got a note once). All very minor bumper blemishes, but just enough to bug me. It also lived outside for a bit and man it paid the price. It literally used to rain rocks off the roof of the building onto my car. Yes for some reason here we have roofs that are flat with rocks on them. Needless to say I have lots of small chips and scratches. Its painful because my car used to be flawless. People always tell me whatever its just a car. Its hard to explain to non car people what it means to us who actually care about our cars. Ok I am done, sorry for writing a novel in your thread.

dude i totally feel you. my 02 s4 was really really mint. i mean it had a scratch or two, but only i knew about things. no one ever said anything on the Audi forum, and they are always assholes about things like that.

this was from when i made my for sale ad. 3 years of ownership, 3 years living outside, lots of mods, a new engine, new turbos due to failure of oem, etc. i loved that thing so much. when i drive my TL, 99% of the time i'm imagining i'm still in the s4. i didn't sell it by choice, i was forced into it due to paycuts and getting royally butt-eff'd on this house i was renting....totally sucks to build up your dream car from when you were 14-15 y/o by 21, and have to sell @ 22 only 1-2 small mods away from being finished. all i planned was a steering wheel, racing seats up front, and better brake pad setup. :'(

the TL has so many dings on the doors it almost makes me want to cry. i wish people in parking lots respected the Acura as much as the Audi. no one ever parked really close or anything like that.

i really miss just about making out this gauge more than anything.

yes fricking sir!!!!! i loved that. originally i bought it with a $35 VDO gauge, and it kinda sucked. got that stepper guage, but the heat would mess with the needle in some weird way. so if i blasted the heat for 20 minutes it would just sit at -30Hg

kinda sad. but overall i loved it too much to move it.

thank you buddy. i really did. i had a problem though hahaha. this car is so much smarter for me in so many ways. the plan was always to pay of the TL and then get back into a nice s4. by that time, i should be able to get a better setup for 1/2 what i paid for mine, between the value dropping and the platform really starting to get serious aftermarket support

mmm I love me some s4. Very nice cars, they just have that clean, simple beauty about them. Sucks to hear you were forced to give up your baby but I am sure you will be back in another one soon enough.

crap. so i was gonna do an update this week, since i picked up some front pads, oil, etc. was gonna do a little maintenance.

yesterday though, i cracked my windshield. was moving this bar thing around in the car, practically tapped the glass and it cracked. out of anger i hit it and made it worse. oops.

anyone had theirs replaced before? was wondering a ballpark on what you guys paid so i don't get 'ripped off' like last time.

oh and bored at work, so edited some more photos. how's my 'PS' skills going? tried to replicate tint for the first time.

in other news, last week had my best game ever in te battlefield series....BOOM HEADSHOT!!! if anyone plays for xbox, chucks4life is my gamertag!
