thank you everyone. this was my first plastidip experience, i feel it went really really well.

one thing, is WOW do you have to really spray it on thick if you want a smooth finish. i did test it on some plastic jug i had laying around, to see how thick the spray would be...glad i did since it bubbled and looked gross.

also very happy that i painted more than just the bar, i was on the fence about the rest of it...

next up will be new rear tires, followed by a Moore's spacer (thanks anil , followed by the intake spacers. or some cat's to get rid of my rotten egg smell.

yes. driving through puddles and wet roads makes it feel like there are caster wheels in back...

i've actually gone and met about 4 people off craigslist regarding tires. they were all so bad though. damaged from hitting potholes, damage from accidents, etc. sucks

yeah. i hate falken. they were on the car when i bought them. those accident pictures? yeah these tires are to thank for that one, moved them to the back and got a new pair, now 15k miles later and winter is coming back and still no funds for another pair and this is what they look like.

^^^ I found a shop near me that sells like old tires....so if a new car got in an accident he goes picks those tires up and sells em for cheap....

in 09 when my budget was kinda low and really really wanted tires, i went to his shop and gave him a heads up that i needed tires....he called me and said he has 4 almost brand new tires....

went up there...he had 4 fuzion hri's sitting for me....and yes they barely had 1000 miles on them maxxxx....i got all 4 tires installed and balanced for $150....

they lasted me a good 40-45K miles....(with proper care of course).....

try to look for some shops like that....

recently I wanted some decent summer tires and ended up getting Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500....he cudnt find 18" and hence had to go with Firestone....but damn love these tires....

that's what i've been trying. but they end up being rim repair shops, and they don't realize i'm a certified mechanic, and know when something is unsafe.

last week the set i tried to get, he tried to hide to bubble, the shaved/cupped corner, etc. he tried to get me to pay $15 for 2 instead of each, i had to argue with him to leave. people like that are terrible, they are going to kill someone.

Let me know ur tire size...might see if he has some decent tire and get the price from him for a set of 4 and will ship it to you....might be cheaper that way....you said u were in Chi-town right ?

yes i am in the chi-town area. i only need 2. i have a pair of BFG's up front with 15k on them doing great. but they were $380 for the pair all said and done, so i was waiting to get the other pair.

i'm a 235-45-17 guy right now, would take a 225-245 width though. this would be temporary till i can get 4 matching.

in 2 weeks i could be in st louis as well. my parents are heading there to visit my sister
