i'm coming around on the aspec. i think i would want the 07-08 with the lip, or maybe its the stock type-s i like...i can never tell. but i don't like our year because it looks so...after the fact on the front. the way it sticks out.

first i really need to get moar lowness and stiffness. i'm starting to get pissed with the type-s shocks. they are definately far too floaty for my young flat billed white kid ness. i miss my 12/13k setup on the S4

and i want to redo my calipers soon black, with white acura, instead of brembo. but slightly bigger if possible.

and the thread you linked, that would be one of my dream setups. love cr-kai's, but only when they are white for some odd reason.

thinking about these. maybe it will get rid of my clunking.

are Moog brand parts any good? they have end links for only ~$41, and i really only need the one

update.

Monday replaced my plugs. had some blow through around the porcelain....not too bad, but needed new ones. they may have been the originals. good amount of low end torque gained.

i've also done the UCM, that made a huge difference. unbelievable amount of throttle smoothing accomplished. i actually haven't modified it, so it's just in my trunk. i'll be doing the mods to it before winter sets in and then putting it back in there for snow/pine needle protection.

so as of right now:

mid muffler delete
resonator swapped with god know's what brand 8" long one
intake resonator delete with a little massaging to have a 'CAI'
throttle body coolant bypass
blox weighted 6mt knob
plastidipped front grille
debadged rear
225/45(err is it 50?) tires on the rear to remove unwanted fender gap
and some yellow fog halogens

and an older picture i didn't post

an fyi, end link kits (one side per) only $23 + shipping on amazon

i think i will just spend the ~$35 a side at the dealer and pick them up today/tomorrow

nukka if a new phone was in the works you would have been coming back with something for me

i've been working tirelessly for months trying to adapt to new pay scale. sucks dick. part of why i sold the s4. oh well, i'm getting there!!!!!!

i think today i'm just gonna tear apart the interior and get to work on it. it'll keep me busy, and i'll get some better ideas. i also have on my wishlist a nice 3 spoke wheel. do you know if the canBUS shit keeps us from swapping a type-s wheel in? just for future thoughts

another thing for you Anil, if you ever need interior advice, i used to work in a shop....was my 'major' at tech school. trying to get back into it, maybe this place will be my stepping stone.

^^^ damn nice....

i feel you on the pay scale and switching jobs shit....am in IT and during recession took a 45-50% pay cut....the situation has gotten better since, but still not what i used to make....

About the steering....why not just get a sports steering ? loose weight and look different ? am looking into these:

I kinda like the luxury of the steering controls. Audi didn't have that stuff. Kinda spoiled now.

Getting a hub and wheel would probably be similar Monet to a swap...like swapping to gallardo wheels in b5s4 ? Thinking out loud here

Yeah but you would loose like 15 odd pounds right there....

Since I have couple other mods planed I will be loosing ALL the steering wheel controls anyway....it will be sad to see them go but well....

yeah idk. i think the main reason i would be opposed to an nice suede wheel is that it will look out of place with stock seats. i don't like 'uneven' packages....if that makes sense.

if i were to delve into interior stuff, i would want to do WAY too much all at once. holding off any mods on the inside for that very reason

actually, i do know of a set of fiberglass shelled cheapo seats. my friend had them in his integra (literally same reasoning, he got a wheel and hated the look) and they were only $4-500 with sliders. i would repad and recover them, and get some real sparco dual locking sliders unlike what he had.

i would even swap my heated seats into them. actually i really really could/should do that.

i'll show you how to swap your heaters. it's ridic easy to add them, even the after market ones. i think you can even get vented 'a/c' kits for under $100 now, but a fixed bucket couldn't fit the vents

a heater assembly is maybe 2 lbs all said and done. its a pad like a heating blanket, and a wire, and a connector, then you ad a little foam, but you cut into the original foam and seat, so it's not really added weight. so many dynamic weight parts to change to out do keeping that

edit:are they road track legal? i forget teh designation, but the key is to buy seats that are safety approved so you don't through money down the bottomless pit that modding is

this is actually my specialty. one day i'll make you a diy, whether i have it myself or not...i'll just use my buddies teggy project to show you. i've just been chilling for 2 years waiting for him to have me do it. i think hes just masturbating to sparco seats that are like $2k and not actually getting a new set (he sold the cheap ones)

you only get burns when the heating wire starts fraying, usually you have to be pretty hefty and use your car a lot, over a lot of miles to get that

in 3 months i only changed 2 at the shop. wear through on seats was 4-5 a day though...to put it in perspective

the other day was stuck in shitty traffic and i made a quick little video to test my suction cup mount on the window, didn't work so well. anyway, with the cold air, the resonator being broken in now, and all that jazz this is how the car sounds. (theres a loud as shit truck that the MIC picked up)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/3038427...in/photostream

if i get the cats gutted and try, i expect a sound difference and try to recreate this one

Anyone have any advice? They aren't rounded over completely yet....I might need to go get a cut off wheel?

been messing around in my photos trying to figure out what direction i'm gonna go with my car. i expect swoosh will vote haha.

anyway, been trying to see if i would like the smoked tails or type-s markers

i really like the look of the side marker to match the front.

also been thinking of maybe opening my headlights to get the amber out, and getting the stock wheels a bronze color. not big into painted wheels that much, but love black/bronze combos.

been mulling it all over for quite awhile now and really can't decide on the wheels
