okay, i've got the car back home now. i pushed in the fender a bit, but the fender and liner are messed up.

the car pulls slightly left...if you shift a little quick, it goes all willy nilly though and its pretty scary honestly. but regular driving seems fine.

so...i'm gonna meet with my acura tech buddy and see if he can tell me what is busted, since i've never experienced that weird shifting thing before.

From what I saw it was resting on the subframe/cradle. But that 2as after the spoke sunk into the ground, so i didn't think it received a major impact, and it not leaking so far

I'm gonna check everything though that's for sure

^^^ ever live on the wild-side LOL /sarcasm

i agree with you Sean, when the car is sitting down it would sit on the subframe, however yours was tilted to the driver side so i thought it would be resting on the trans....but well get it checked

Last time I pulled the wheel off the stud sheered clean off. Thought I mentioned i was only running 4 studs to begin with.
And its not a new wheel. I rotated the rear forward, and the threw an accord se wheel on. It's a 17x6 I think and a et55 wheel so it won't clear the brembos

When it rains, it pours, huh. I seriously think you should frame that chunk of the wheel. Hopefully someday you can look at it and laugh.

you can't tell i'm being happy about it already?

when i was swapping to get it home, was with my Evo buddy cracking jokes, then another buddy driving by pulled in...we had a good time for the 20 minutes we were there lol.

great part about getting older and caring less about cars, it doesn't stick around for weeks like before. when my audi used to break i would be noticeably pessimistic for up to a month later! now, i'm just always glad that the buck stopped where it did!

i actually need to go get my old 2.7tt block and heads, to turn into a table, i should use that face for something like that too...maybe a small table? or as a footrest on a stool type thing? idk.

Turning an old block into a table/foot rest sounds like a good idea to me. Just don't stub your toe on it.

i would destroy that table in 20 minutes. i'm not clumsy, but when there's rope/string on the ground i always manage to get tangled lol. that shit would end up on the floor

so cool though, if only no straps. and wth, so expensive too!

Is that tubular front to maintain structural integrity but lessen the weight of the car's front end?!

Very nice shots...
you should get a real camera...
you should get a real lens...

Hey Veggie, I see on page 2 you have a pic of your dash, what does the little envelope under your mileage mean?

Thats from a service reminder for the oil life guage, when you go to other screens it acts like you have a text message. nothing more than just annoying.

J, that front end IS to save weight, and provide a sheer point on the front clip, to keep the shock towers from being damaged in a drifting mishap.

This kid bought it at night, didn't see the cracks in the subframe, and it had spread all the way up the shock tower. So that was another reason for him to do it.

They are leaving room for a V-mount, he was going to order a turbo kit before he found te frame issue....poor guy, at least he has cash ready to fix it.

John, it's getting crazy, but it's still a bolt on ka24 so no big deal. that little mazda though....that thing makes WAYYYYYYYYYY more power

IDK. I mean the fender is fucked up and the liner too. but holding...I'm thinking I might have made off with only needing a rim and an alignment.

I'm trying to find some widened steelies before I purchase another wheel. I could Probably pick those up for around the same price as 1 OEM 04-06 wheel anyway

Why aren't you replacing with oem? I love the 5 stars...
Check your lower control arm, I would imagine that would be the point that got the most imparce...and also the upper...steering rods.

Just because it's a 2 or 3:1 price ratio...for now, and for the future...

I haven't even checked the BM again yet. Last time the only OEM's for sale were bent/cracked. and it was $180 new from the tire place, but they originally wanted to charge me $250 for a $150 part from supplier....

I know. and I hate that.

there are these https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/3g-tl-aspec-wheels-18x8-5-2-a-821344/

and sharky has a set, but no shipping...few other whole sets with tires, but I don't need to have 7 stockies for this car...

I want to find 18's and tires for $500 but I bet that's impossible

C'mon...you want rims anyway! That'll be $500 toward your rim fund! And I bet you have your stockies still.

LOL...I know, my fiancee thinks I'm too nice...but honestly, if I get a killer deal, I normally do pass it on to the next person I'm selling too. Like the RHCP tickets...I got some for free so I sold mine to a friend from work for what I paid...the show was sold out and I probably could have made money!

Good luck, man!

They probably will work...the hub might be slightly different but you can get a ring. I bet they are 5 x 114

J.
