very hard to see the torque line. the actual numbers were 326.39@8000rpm/233.78@3750rpm

hmmm , after some extensive utube research, turns out the sound that I like is the flutter (used to think it was the bov making that sound)

My mistake, obviously a turbo rookie here

So do we know for sure yet or is it up in the air if this Turbo setup will have boost control?

It has a wastegate so worst case scenario you're under the hood turning the adjusting screw on the wastegate. It's a matter of buying your favorite electronic boost controller and hooking it into the vacuum lines to the wastegate if you want to go electronic.

My suggestion is to set it and leave it. Too much temptation with a boost controller in the cabin.

a ricey atmospheric BOV will only drown that out.

Well, I'm not saying I think 1 part is better than other, just sound wise, I don't care to hear the flutter over the BOV in the Supra posted. The flutter to me just sounds like someone trying to whistle fast poorly.

However, the one that is best suited for the turbo in the TL will be the one that I support.

If we are going on sound alone IMO nothing beats the Synchronic BOV by SYNAPSEENGENEERING...http://www.synapseengineering.com

I would agree to that also.

I've got a bunch of friends with subaru's (heavily modified) and they put one of the "ricey" BOV's on and within weeks it's sold to some 17 year old kid to put on their civic They get annoying to just about everyone!

I can't wait to see this in action. It sounds like it is going to .
I guess could never imagine a TL moving as fast as this thing probably does.
Good work guys

ok, after just getting home to a computer that can play youtube....

personally the talon with no BOV sounds horrible imo =\ i mean it sounds like it has a turkey or horse in the engine bay =\ just doesn't sound to good.

however, after listening to the bov in pass's car, that sounds pretty nice... quiet but you can still hear a bit of it. i wouldn't mind that one at all. =]

and yes, that thing sounds like a beast!!! =]

The stockies spin very nicely and don't seem to hop the way stickier tires do. Its going to be a wild ride but spinning that easly can be a lot of fun.

Some douche is playing loud music with their windows down in traffic, get a little smokey and watch how fast those windows go up. The stockies are so hard, not much tread is burned up.

All stock components is in tact except battery relocation to trunk , fans were removed, as of yet were debating on keeping stock fans , which in return would lower cost and keep install simple .. Which will be tested please rest assure this kit will be tested to the fullest before release ......striving for reliabilty .....I'm currently running a hks super sequential version 2 blowoff valve... Options for blow off valve shount be a problem .....and as far as exhaust goes I'm running a 3" exhaust of turbo to y which then goes 2.5 to magnaflow dual mufflers tipless... Wouldn't recommend a stock exhaust but as far as atlp greedy ect would be fine ., correct me if I'm wrong.....

So basically, do you think your clutch/flywheel/pressure plate will hold up ok as long as you don't get crazy and powershift and abuse it?

Good to know it hooks. What happens if you're rolling along say 15mph in first with the clutch fully engaged and you floor it? Does it go instantly to redline and tire smoke or does it try to hook?

Yes I can safely say it will ..plus this setup will be fairly inexpensive...

Well at 15 mph it defeinetly spins the tires but as it spinning car is going .. I'll just get a video I'd say Saturday ...

I know someone earlier mentioned that the J-Pipe & Pre-Cat Deletes may not be do-able with this mod. Pass, were your pre-cats & J-pipe altered in any way?
