think it's safe to say we will be releasing this kit but 18 months is a stretch , 6-7 months is more like it , and for right now we are ahead of schedule .....Plus the makers of the 2006 Honda si kits ( Aljapsperformance) have been helping us with tuning & dataloging ....after the cb smith park meet , car will go in for any revisions or adjustment , then back out to log another 1000 miles , after that we should be leaning towards production ....after car goes in for final adjustment think it's safe to say I'll have a final price which everyone is waiting on ....

Rodney, just out of curiosity, how much power are you looking to achieve before you think it's enough? Not criticizing you in any way, but are you looking to call it a "day" at 450, 475, 500+? Just wondering because you've done a LOT for all of us by subjecting your car to this kit. I may be alone, but I think it would only be fair if 10 months from now, you can take a break & whomever wants to here, see just how much more power can be achieved from the kit.

Again, not criticism, just curiosity.

^^^ i thought that went without saying.....

banabela/pass have done more than their share of work on this kit.....once this kit is out i think members will be curious to see what the TL does with a little more power.....

you will see more tuning, more mappings, a lot more components.....i bet ATLP/Richie/XLR8 will be curious to see how this kit sits and come out with their versions or piping's and exhaust and just more parts to get more out of the kit and the car......

as it has always been "trial and error".....

but yeah I would also want to know to what amount of boost is the TL reliable (mainly the tranny).....

6psi....i bet....they made 370ish at 6psi.....
8psi....i guess....430ish

I know this has probably been answered somewhere in this thread but why can you not use the same process to increase the boost for the sc guys?

I understand all that, but I'm just curious as to when Pass feels he's gone as far as he wants to with the power before he has start upgrading a lot more equipment?

As far as power is concerned , right now I'm just working on perfecting kit , then next step would be installing the kit on a type S , which isn't much far away.. Unfortunately as far as supercharger goes ,as of right now no intentions of venturing in that feild sorry... Right now all attention is mostly on testing , and getting kit on the typeS ......
intentions on power , right now for kit production I think we can all agree the power should & will be kept at a safe level especially for people who have no intention in building motor ... I think it's only fair after kit is released , to keep turning boost up til we see how much power the motor will hold until it gives out and see what's the weakest link...
Rest assure by June I'll be installing a built motor for crazy 20-28 psi ... Then of course we all know I'll be experimenting with clutch & LSD setup...

So, you're going for as much power possible in the end; cool, all I wanted to know as you're doing a fantastic job.

I've deleted the 'list' Do not start any more 'feeler' lists until pass427 works out vendor issues w/ admin.

There is alot of good info in this thread. It would be a shame if I had to delete it....

So has there been any progress at all on the TL-S side? I know both current cars are 3.2 base and you guys are workin wonders but i was just wondering if you had a local type-s guinea pig and have you done anything at all yet. But while im at it congrats both of you guys taking the plunge and giving all of us TL owners a whole new level of performance and future upgrades to look forward to!! I would def throw a donation your guys way to get the type-s project rolling faster and im sure some of the other S owners feel the same way seeing as how we feel left out from the S/C situation (i know there is one guy out there who's done it but were talking about a buyable kit)
But Good Luck!

We probably won't see a Type S have the kit done until Rodney & the team feel this one is worth releasing & someone installs it on a Type S. Just my guess though.

My time here is rather limited compared to some, but I'd have to say the "So, What's Everyone Doing Today?" thread...this thread has nothing on that one.

Let's get back on topic or the thread is deleted. All of you are members here for free because of our vendors and sponsors. If you cant grasp that, then it's your problem. This topic is not up for debate. The 'list' only started recently and so did the mentioning of prices so for those of you who have got a problem with what I've said in this thread, get over it and move on.

Again, there is alot of good info in this thread, don't ruin it for everyone else.

Let us know if you can get some acceleration vids up, please, as I'm sure a lot of us are curious as to how fast it'll run from 0-20Mph on up.
