it will always warm up faster that way and the car will adapt to it

I was showing that the AUX port is just a headphone jack (see pic) and no ipod display data traverses the headphone cable, you would need an Ipod data link (like the Acura Musiclink Ipod integration unit) uses. No Ipod data on the Nav this year.
The AUX port in the TSX works the exact same way.[/QUOTE]
The ipod display would be nice but I'm more concerned with how functional the AUX port is. Can you at least use the steering wheel controls to skip songs using the AUX port instead of the music link? Or must you skip songs using the ipod itself?

Nope... That would require a data link cable/connection as well.
It's the equivalent of a Blitzsafe AUX port, just OEM now.
All controls will be executed throught eh Ipod/mp3 player. Neat thing about the "Genericness" of the AUX port id you can plug ANYTHING into it.

You've missed the point. When it's super friggin cold, like below 0 or in the teens, it is painful to sit in the car (and use the steeringwheel) if it's not been warmed up, even in a car that sat in an unheated garage all night. Not to mention if you have small children or a mouthy wife that you don't want exposed to the elements like that (I love you dear!)
Also, if the car was sitting outside it's sometimes more practical to let the defrost start in on the ice before you try to scrape it off (you run the risk of breaking your snow scrapper, not that snow scrappers are expensive but you NEED one and a broken one doesn't work well).
Also, I've not heard of a heated steering wheel but wow is that a great idea! If you try to drive a car with a super cold wheel you must wear gloves or you will not only lose feeling in your hand but it can also be painful which both are somewhat dangerous conditions when you drive.
Here in Cleveland we get below 0 several times during the winter and in the 80s and 90s (sometimes 100) with high humidity in the summer too. So, I would be interested in ANYTHING that is for cold AND/OR hot climates. Vented seats would sure be welcome when it's hot out! Or even a steeringwheel that cools itself down, but a hot wheel is easier to deal with that a really cold one IMO.

Are the RL & RDX Taupe interiors really the same? Seems to me the RL's is medium grey, and the RDX's (from photos only) is very light. Just wondering, if they are different, which will be in the new TL.

All colors are availavle with only 2 interiors taupe leather or ebone/silver leather.
I assume it will be a brighter red considering the blue went from dark to bright, which is a good thing.

They offer heated steering wheels on lots of cars from 5 and 7 series BMWs, to Audis to E and S class Mercedes. I am sure you can get it on some of the larger Lexus and Infiniti models too.
It is one of the features that I really miss from Maxima. That and auto off headlights!

If nothing is to display on that AUX screen on the navi, I find it very odd that they would box off an area that is not going to be used. They should have just left the entire screen blank except for having "AUX" written across the top.
I'm convinced that some type of info is going to be displayed in that AUX box. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see what Acura has to say about it.

Does anyone think it's possible that Acura intentionally under-rated the claimed hp output on the 3.5L TL-S engine so that it would still appear to be beneath the RL on the Acura model hierarchy (for those buyers who feel hp ratings are everything), but still be competitive with the IS350 and '07 G35 sedan? We all know that Honda/Acura is capable of achieving some pretty high specific output numbers with their engines.

My parents have it and it is neat. It changes color like no other Honda paint I've seen. Sometimes it looks like Anthracite from the current TL and then the light changes it is adds some taupe/bronze to the mix which then looks like the taupe from the first generation Legend.
