Hello everyone, like alot of you, my family's also waiting to see what may be new on the 07's. It will be for my dad who's Infiniti's lease is up (he currently drives an 03 I35). We don't have a TL yet but my mom drives a MDX and i a CSX (it's a Canadian only vehicle).
additional power isn't really what we care for since the TL is already very powerful. I would honestly hope the 07's continue to improve on quality instead of raw HP. Namely i was pretty concerned when several cars at the dealer showed mismatched rear bumper paint and i've been reading these forums forever as a guest to check out potencial problems. Rattles are pretty common on Acura's so i'm not that concerned as i had to deal with many on my CSX (funny how it'll drive some of us crazy but my mom/dad never seem to hears it in their cars). Anyways. just wanted to say hi to all the members and await patiently to any 07 news
PS. if nothing significan't comes out, i'll try to steer my dad into a WDP with aero kit

Hmm... perhaps that would mean devoted fog lights lover down and (I doubt it) a switch back to haloges highs. I'm still not a huge fan of Bi-xenons, as 1. they turn on/off when you flash someone (HIDs don't like this) and 2. While your lights are on and you flash someone, it's not so obvious and 3. I just prefer the extra depth perception and distance a good halogen high beam can afford you.

The TL's bi-xenon's don't flash, it merely moves the reflector when you go between high and low. The bulb never turns off.

ehhh yeah..
1. they dont flash which you got already
2. they get so much brighter when the shield moves away.. you cant not tell when the light is suddenly in your face and then not again serveral times.
3. dont know about the good halogen high beam but i think out HIDs are plenty enough

I expected as much. They are still using the pictures of the 2004 SSM TL on the acura news site and calling it a 2006. But the pics haven't changed for 2 1/2 years because the exterior of the car hasn't changed.

Hopefully there's readily available information after tomorrow's preview. I don't know that Acura will post it on their site but I'm hoping one of the attendees posts it on a forum and we get wind of it.

Umm.... they don't flash when the lights are already on, the cutoff just moves. However, IF YOUR LIGHTS ARE OFF and you FLASH SOMEONE, the HIDs TURN ON AND OFF. Go outside and play with your TL right now. That's why I said it wasn't good for the TLs HIDs.

As far as my point # 2 goes, if you knew enough about HIDs/bi-xenons, you'd understand that you will only be able to notice the high beam going on and off if you are low enough (like in a car) because HIDs have a sharp cutoff line. If you are higher up in an SUV, and at a close distance, you would never notice that the TL is flashing you for whatever reason.
Once I missed a freeway exit because I couldn't tell that my friend in a bi-xenonated S60R was flashing me to get off. That meant a 110mph sprint to the next freeway exit and back again.

here's some rumors I found on the net
First of all, the TL's upcoming Type-S variant is said to be getting a bump up to around 290hp. As we've mentioned, it will do its best to deliver that through the front wheels. Supposedly the suspension geometry remains largely unchanged, so that doesn't bode well for squelching the complaints of torque steer. We remind you that this information is still in the rumor phase at this point, so we'll have to try to dig up more on it. Inside the car, the interior is said to be receiving some minor freshening including a restyled shifter and revised gauges. On the exterior, the fog lights are said be changed but it's not clear what that means. This is purely speculative on my part, but perhaps this means that they will be relocated from the headlamp assembly down into the lower bumper? The person who sent this information to us mentioned that the wheels "suspiciously resemble Nissan's Altima SE-R (wheels)". Again with the speculation, I would expect that the Type-S will arrive in showrooms wearing at least 18" wheels
What have already been scheduled for the Acura TL come year 2007 are some minor model changes. Also, for 2009, the Acura TL will have to undergo a major redesigning. Rumors have it that the vehicle will be most likely to receive new clear taillights, a redesigned front bumper and headlight, and additional horsepower with revised intake and exhaust system.
2007 TL is due for a Minor Model Change before 2009 redesign. It will most likely receive clear taillights, turn signal blinker on mirrors, and additional horsepower with a revised intake/exhaust system. Canadian TL is confirmed to have XM satelite radio starting 2007.
It has been rumored that the 2009 Acura TL will use SH-AWD as used in the current (2006) Acura RL. Rumored new engine choices are the 3.5L used in the current RL or a DOHC 3.2L engine

When will we have news on the 2007 Acura TL? My dad wants to buy me the 2007 Infiniti G35x and he wants to put a deposit down on it now. Will there be news on the 2007 Acura TL on AcuraZine by tonight?

As much as I like Acura I agree that the new G35 is HOT. Infiniti seems to give buyers what they may not want but wouldn't mind having.
From a design stand point, the TL is great looking like the G. Infiniti has the handling advantage because of RWD but the next TL should counter that with AWD (hopfully with a torque distribution emphasis at the rear).
I would like to see Acura go one better then the G and offer ventilated seating (only saw heated seat functions).
At this point though while many of us have our wish list as to what Acura should add to the TL only time will tell whether or not Acura listens. One thing is for sure and that is the next TL will have features the competition does not have as Acura loves technology.
