you should also notice one on the gas pedal also, but futher up though, and not quite as big, but the exact same function, to dampen out any sort of vibrations (remember this is a "luxary" car afterall, so any sort of vibrations from the factory are bad in the manufactures mind)

i kept the TL gas pedal. didn't see a need to change it, i do have the CL's gas pedal though

the shifter assembly is from the 03 CL and the short shifter is pspec 05 RSX. i love the shift height, just need to find a good shift knob for it.

Awesome man...wish I could have made it over to see your work in progress. Just couldn't find the time this weekend. Id love to see the finished product though and pick your brain a little. I have a sneaking suspicion with just over 145,000 on my factory trans (it is acting a little sketchy..) its going to be swap time soon.

haha nice. well my family/girlfriend is all in louisville, i'm only in richmond for eku.

hopefully you have a garage, i've been doing this in my driveway out in the weather and it's been KILLING me.

i'll have no problem helping you out. since you have type s already (i think) all you'd need is just the tranny and few other things, makes it easier and cheaper (and more fun )

i did mine in the summer outside too, sucked ass. buy yourself a folding canopy, it helps with the sun, but dont leave it in the rain because the tarp isnt strong enough to hold a lot of water in it

the week days are shorter now because i'm working during the day

day 5

it's been a very progressive day. since i have had others to tell me to take out the steering dampeners, it has given me ample room to run my shifter cables. i rigged them up and hooked it all up to the shifter. now i can shift into gears :w00t:

i know i need an upper radiator hose, the other one was dry rotted and i'm going to buy a new one.

then i decided to test fit the turbo components on the car. i know i'm going to have a hell of a time installing the downpipe, but i'll get there.

i also found the o ring that goes to the sandwich adapter. lord knows what would happen if i ran the car without that.

onto the pics

a weak battery will also cause that too, and still let the lights be on, so as far as the connections go..., you got the cable to the battery hooked on, then also the signal wire too (the little connection)

then the next place to start looking, would be do you have all the grounds hooked up, especially between the engine/tranny and the chassis

i know i left the car in park when i removed the A/T although there is no draw on the battery when attempting to crank. no CEL's at all. i even made you guys a video

the ventilation turns on as soon as i try and crank the key, you'll see me try to turn it off.

grabbed a new grounding strap and installed that.

i even tried jumpstarting it with the car behind me. no dice

Did you plug the Range switch back in? That can cause the car not to crank on start

The range switch is located on your A/T tranny. Just plug back in.
Wait do you got Richie harness plug in to car?

You put flat head screw driver in the middle of black triangle pieces an keep turn it right one click until it start the car. You are trying to put the car in Neutral position.

hmmm... Man i'm not sure then. You may have to double check some of your ground wires. Remember you got to keep range switch plug in until you switch off to Richie harness.

depends on how far you are converted over

but yeah did not even think about mentioning the park/neutral switch

next thing might be is to hook the positive straight to the starter, and bypass the solenoid completely, you might have a bad starter (a jumper cable will work for that...)

aee that gold nut below where you connect the cable normally, there should be a wire going to that from the solenoid itself, so basically just connect the jumper cable there, and not really trying to start it or any thing, more just to make sure it will spin over

i'll have to try that tomorrow

i even tried switching out the ECU and nothing

what's odd is as soon as i turn the key in the ignition, the ventilation turns on and even when i take the key out of the ignition, it stays on until i disconnect the battery. come to think of it, all the windows and sunroof and everything work without the need for the key.

i haven't cut any wires, i plugged in everything that needed to be plugged (besides the tranny plugs). i'm such an electrical n00b

is that before a front door is opened though, after you turn off the key.... if so standard behavior for Honda's (it will for 10 minutes after the key is turned off, or a front door is opened)

but now as far as the hvac still working with the key out, something is screwed up there, it should turn off immediately with turning off the key

maybe doable check the ignition switch harness (it's the brown connector coming out of the driver side fuse box, when you look up underneath the dash; it has like 6 or 7 or so heavier gauge wires coming out of it, i think about 10 gauge sized wire), might have been damaged when you installed the clutch pedal, it runs in pretty close proximity to that area (also it might have happened when you removed the e-brake pedal)

didn't have a chance today really, my mom and step dad came in town today to surprise me and couldn't really troubleshoot more. school starts tomorrow, i'll see about either taking it up to the honda dealer or another shop to have them work with the wiring.

once it's up and ready i'll see if i can get with ndub and get a photo/video shoot of the final product.
