Is there a plug on the auto harness that fits that or do I have to manually pin them to the range switch?
Yes, #15 is where you connection #3 & #9 an it don't matter which way you do it.
There no Auto plug that fit that. You will have to go to junk yard an find that plug an it can only be found on manual engine harness. For Honda 99+ an Acura 2004+. I did try at 1st, but had no luck. So I just hookup some wire an use male quick disconnect an made it

I'm still trying to locate the wire I need to tap into with the purple wire for richies harness. Forgive me for being ignorant. I've snapped some pics....

The black w/ white stripe wire that goes to the ignition should be where purple goes. I think it's a little bigger guage than the other wires. Although I don't see it in your pic. My memory has turned into shit as well so don't believe everything I say. I'll take a quick look from under my dash later to make sure I know what I'm talking about.

Oh yea did you get the reverse lights to work? AznWay explained it correctly, I completely forgot about wiring up to the wires that went to the range switch for the reverse lights. It's been a while since I did everything lol

So you're talking about the black and white wire right here right? I'm splicing it, just cutting of some insulation and soldering the purple wire to the fully intact black/white wire right?

I have not gotten the reverse lights to work yet only because I don't have the ignition wired up yet. So I'm still using my auto trans range switch and I can't use the wiring for the reverse lights, but as soon as I get the purple wire hooked up I'll get reverse lights working.

^^I think you need the heavier gauge wires on the other end of the switch.

Thanks AT, I found it this afternoon, saw the purple wire dangling in that area from when I cut it last year. I was able to solder the ignition wire and the clutch safety wires in and it works. so I now have clutch safety, however it makes a weird noise before it starts to crank over.

I wired up the reverse lights, two wires to the reverse sensor and then to pins 3 and 9 on the range switch plug in the engine bay. But when I put it in reverse with the clutch down and the engine running or the key in "on", Richie's module starts to make buzzing noises and if the engine is running it starts to rev to about 1100-1300. But I do see the reverse icon light up in the gauge cluster, but no reverse lights in the tails... could it be a bad connection? Any one have this issue?

Yes cruise was super easy. just clip pin 14, wire it to the lower clutch position switch and hook the other one up to ground and you have cruise.

When you hear noise coming from Richie module it mean you hookup backward.

BTW:
Thank for cruise control help

ah, Thanks, that fixed the reverse light and buzzing debacle. I guess I was reading the diagram on Richie's instructions wrong but it's all good.

Now on to the starting. It's making that noise like it won't crank over b/c the battery is low before it actually cranks over. Could it be an open wire? Could I have wired the clutch safety switch backwards?

I'm going to try getting a better connection for the wires. Do you know where I can get my hands on some pigtails? I can't find them on the acura parts sites and I know Richie has to get his (his harness comes with reverse lockout pigtails) from somewhere. I'd like to use the pigtails for both clutch sensors and reverse signal.

I've tried emailing junk yards and they say they won't cut wiring harnesses, they only sell them as a set.

Also, I'm thinking about wiring a hot wire to my fan timer. The fan timer pin 2 is connected to fuse #3 according to the wiring diagram but I'm looking all over in wiring diagrams and service manual to find a wire that connects to fuse 3 but I can't find it. Does anyone have an idea where I can tap into power for fuse 3 to go to the fan timer?

turns out I was reading the wiring pinouts wrong and the fan timer was indeed receiving power. nevertheless I have a new fan timer on order (that's the next step in troubleshooting) and we'll see if that works.

I've also got two other issues.

I've looked at the SRS reset vid and the guy moves so fast with that yellow plug I'm not sure where he got it from (plus it's for a civic) Is our plug located under the steering wheel? and if it is this plug, how do you undo it? It seems like it requires a special way to pull it apart

the other problem is when I have the auto trans range switch plugged in, there is no problems (only a CEL for "short in range switch" and obviously my reverse lights wouldn't work) but when I unplug the range switch, it seems I have an idle problem. Sometimes the idle will bounce between 800 to 1500 RPM (which is really annoying) or sometimes it'll idle at 1500 or it'll idle around 750.

anyone else have this problem?

Parts came in today. The fan timer fixed my issue now the fans work whenever they need to

The SRS reset worked, so the next light to troubleshoot is the ABS light.

I also need to fix the "gatling gun" sound when I try to start it before it actually cranks. as mentioned before it might be a bad connection.

Brakes are next on order, then power steering gear. I've also got an EVAP canister code so I need to fix that. Once all these issues are resolved my car is back to normal lol.

Oh, and for shits and giggles, and because I'm selling it to MoneyPit, I've hooked up my AEM EMS Series 2 to see if it works since I've changed the engine. It works great! I'm guessing the old engine was off in time...

Maybe from inside the car, otherwise it sounds like absolute dog shit. When I had the shop do my exhaust when I was turbo, they deleted my resonator and I didn't catch it until the car was actually running right, by then it was too late. So I'm going to get around getting a resonator. Other than that, it's an XS header/Tsudo Axleback combo.

changed the brakes yesterday, jumped on that steal of a deal BrakeMotive has and no more shaking in the steering wheel! I did have a seized rear caliper though :-/ luckily autozone had one in stock.

On the other hand, I found out why my ABS light is on in the dash, the ABS sensor wires are cut. I'll be getting around to replacing those. I'm sure I ran them wrong when I took the knuckles off the car.

Thanks and yes it is a blast to drive. I'd rather get my ABS sensors replaced and have a resonator installed before I rip on it though. I'd like to be able to stop better and not sound like shit lol.

Once power steering system is replaced I'll be refinishing these (I'm thinking hyper black) and saving up on some rubber for them.

Thanks for everyone's responses in this thread, I now know how to hook up my reverse lights and make my cruise control work on my 6mt swap.. Howeverm, i am having an issue with my drivers side memory seat not working or moving forward when the door is open and someone wants to get into the back seat. The passenger seat however works fine..

Also, does anyone know what wires I need to connect to get the passenger side mirror to tilt when in reverse? Anyone chime in? THANKS
