So I just got my ILX a few weeks ago, and I have been messing around with the on-board navigation. Supposedly it has real-time traffic info, but in my experience, it has not been very accurate. I thought at first that it just wasn't working at all, since I never saw anything other than green. But recently I have actually noticed some yellow, and even on one or two occasions some red! But overall, it does not estimate travel time correctly and rarely shows anything other than green, no matter how congested it is. So has anyone else had better luck?

 

I think real time traffic is only available when you have a certain AcuraLink package with your car. I don't think I ever been able to use it because it said that it is not available for my car. Might be that I don't have that AcuraLink Package. I forget the tiers they offer, but it is quite expensive and I thought I won't need it anyways. I prefer to use Waze anyways, although I like the way the navigation works on the ILX as well. I wish I could have the navigation of the ILX with the features and traffic updates of Waze.

 

According to what the salesman told me and everything I've read, real-time traffic is included with the base Acuralink package, which is free for 3 years. I'm thinking it just isn't very accurate. At least in my area.
