the engine runs! kinda sounds bad now only being that the o2 sensor ports are open right now.

now we have a problem with the clutch master cyl. the clutch system now finally bleeds, and it can build pressure, once pressure is build, we press the pedal a few times and pressure is lost. we think it's either the master cyl or the slave cyl. i ordered both. i should have put new ones in with the swap. live and learn.

other than that once the clutch system is resolved we're ready to tune!

part of the reason i went directly for new, instead of dealing with used stuff

yeah, i'm kicking my self in the ass right now for not getting new ones right now. when juanclopez sold me the pedal sets and shift boot, the clutch master cyl happened to come with it. i don't blame him, he gave me a steal of a deal and you are taking your chances with used parts

and the slave cyl came with the transmission.

i'm really hoping it's just the master cyl because i ordered them through honda (we don't have an acura dealership close) and the master cyl will be here saturday and the slave cyl won't be here until wednesday or thursday. but if it ends up just being the master cyl, when i receive the slave cyl i'll go ahead and replace that too.

eh, they got it functional, but they couldn't get the clutch safety switch working with the RV6 harness. i wasn't sure what he was talking about and i had him talk to richie, apparently the box is bad or something? but for the time being, the clutch safety switch is bypassed. i might just make a road trip to see him sometime to get that working. i just need a working car for now.

Are you talking about 2 white wires that plug into clutch pedals sensor on top of pedal? ( By stepping down on clutch pedal it push sensor in so the car start with turn of key ) Like how all manual car work

I got mine on push button hold down an turn the key start for now

yes, exactly what i'm talking about. if he hooks it up like richie has in his wiring diagram, it won't start, but if he bypasses it, it starts

Maybe this can solve your problem:

I remember having same problem 1st time i installed them wires. Here is what i learn.
The clutch pedal has 2 sensor plug screw into pedals. Use the one on top b/c it has 2 pin system an the one on bottom has 3 pin. ( IT took me 1 hour figure out why it was not working. I didn't realize i was trying use 3 pin sensor until i unscrew plug out. Man the area under pedals are very tight an small to see anything.

Looking good so far. I kinda wish I installed the turbo kit just to have some fun before I sold it. Oh well.

Definitely make some videos!!

oh you will. i just think it'd be cool to have that song opening it up with some swap photos then turn the music down to hear the ear candy. trust me, you'll hear what you wanna hear.

plus, dyno day here is sept 11th, so we'll get an idea of what my new numbers are.

thanks.

the clutch system was actually fine. turns out the hydraulic line wasn't tight where it met the master cyl. no big deal. the car is somewhat driveable now. man it wants to get up and go, but i'm not gonna risk it without a tune. plus the o2 sensor ports are open so it's got a nasty exhaust leak sound. it's in frankfort right now awaiting a tune. i'll report back with my findings.

well, while it's at the tuner (this guy is very slow ) i'd like to figure out what the deal with the ventilation is.

it started doing it prior to the swap anyway. when the car was on, the fan would be on constantly full blast, whether i turn on climate control or not. i thought after the swap if i tried swapping ECUs or something that would fix it. nope.

is there some module i should replace?

and if you turn off the fan itself it would at least turn off....

if so, probably a bad transistor (but anyways probably shorted internally) for the hvac fan (it would be the resistor pack, if we did not have infinite control of the fan speed; instead of the 1,2,3,4 fan speeds)

part #3 at the bottom, and to give you an idea of how much torture they go through, they actually get mounted into the airflow of the hvac fan, because they run so hot, and need the cooling of moving air across it

and it also takes as much time to get out the needed tools to swap it out, then to actually swap the transistor itself

LMFAO, you don't even have to remove the glovebox to replace it, the transistor is on the very bottom

haha i figured that, but the guys already had the glovebox removed when they were doing the rv6swap harness and it's still not installed just yet. figured it'd be easier with it off anyway

haha i would, but it's at dkgoodrich's shop in frankfort. i think i might stop by there to install my engine torque damper so maybe i'll get a shitty running video.

but i might be in louisville this weekend with the rental though haha.

Haha. Just heard from the tuner, we're going with the haltech platinum sport 2000. It should be finished by the end of next week.

Sept 11th at Evan's tire and autocare is dyno day, so I'll be sure to get some footage

well was able to get some pictures and install the new ingalls stiffy engine torque damper today. i even got a running vid, but it's more for sound as it was dark outside for the vid and my flashlight sucked. keep in mind the o2 sensor ports are still open on the downpipe

i think my next dilemma is going to get the parking lights to work. i'm wondering if maybe the shop that installed richie's harness may have blew a fuse or maybe cut some wires? dunno. i just know that the hi/low beams work, but the parking lights do not work. the brake lights work, but regular non-brake lights aren't. not sure if the turn signal works yet or not.

sounds real good -surprised no whistle is evident even at idle. Is it a bad audio feed?

Did you change pistons man? I know the -S engine already packs some pretty decent compression sans turbo. Cant wait to check it out when you get everything all buttoned up. Gonna give me a good excuse for a little road trip!
