Sorry, but this is not an accurate statement. An OEM side mount was sent Innovative by one of the members on this board. The mount was then test fitted on another member's car. The design was approved to go to production. The rest of this comment is to the best of my understanding. Problems arose in the assembley/manufacturing process. The QC step did not catch the errors for reasons unknown. Part of Innovatives mistake may have been to rush these out the door because many of us kept hounding them to hurry up. Once the problem was detected, Innovative stopped production and has been working on reworking the assembley/manufacturing process so that the problem could not happen again.

In hindsight, everyone involved agrees that they would have done things differently. Unfortunately, it cost some of us a pretty penny, and other a lot of sweat equity. Not sure which I'd be more upset over, that may depend on a persons financial position. A lot lessons learned, the biggest is that there's always a potential for bugs in any new design. Just ask the first buyers of any performance mod that's come out and you'll find that a lot of the have had problems. Comptech needed to fix a resonance issue with their headers; OBX had fitment and quality issues, then there was Stone headers, then Alpha and Megan and XSP. Some of the mods I've done had no problems, some needed some tweaking. Shoot, Honda didn't get this car right. We have had major tranny problems, brakes, paint, chassis creaking, seat belt, motor mounts and other problems that have nagged us. Some of these have and or will cost us a lot of time and or money.

Anyway, I'm commited to help get the product fixed so that we can get past this and move on. At this point I don't expect to come out of this without any pain, but I do expect to be completely satisfied once it is fixed. The is a great mod and worth the trouble to get it right. Because of the overall benefits of this mod, I'd put it on my Top 5 list of recommended mods, but not until it's fixed.

Yes, so we want them to come out with a fix for this too. This problem is interesting in that the Accord guys didn't seem to have it, or mention it to my recollection. It doesn't seem that everyone here has had it. Not quite sure why some are experiencing this problem and others are not. It's hard to determine since there are several factors that could play a part. Anyway, I'm happy that Innovated has been responsive on this.

I don't think anyone thought that this would be a problem since the Accord guys didn't have it. I don't know, but there must be some small differences somewhere that makes it a problem. Maybe it's because the J32 is more powerfull? There are a couple of Accord guys saying that have over 300HP, so maybe not. Maybe the geometry is slightly different and even though it's the same OEM mount for both cars. Who knows for sure. All we know is that we are tearing up the OEM mounts quicker, and I can't afford to replace them every year. Anyway. let's hope they fix it . . .

Installed my front mount yesterday in about 2.5 hrs total. Now, with the front & rear installed, the vibrations have actually decreased. So far I am very pleased with these mounts. Power gets down to the pavement with no wheel hop & car is tighter.

Still waiting on the side mount.....

That's strange some have vibrations & some do not. You don't feel the car vibrate when your hard on the gas? Like pulling away from a stop in 1st gear hard?

Maybe it's mod dependent?
Some combination of mods that lead to more vibrations?

FYI- I had the stock 6MT dampeners (shock looking things) put back on the car & they did decrease the vibrations a small amount. So I would leave them on.

I also noticed that on my 6MT at least I have to give the car more gas when stating out in 1st gear. If I don't the gearbox screeches & vibrates VERY bad until the clutch picks up.

when i first got my car back from the shop that did the 3.5L build, they did a bunch of other things, and one was that i gave them OEM mounts filled w/ polyurethane. one of the first things i noticed was that i needed more gas when starting off the line. i can literally leave my foot off the gas in some situations and the car not move at all (and this is sometimes on little to no incline). i attributed it to the motor build, but the car definitely drove noticeably differently when i did the poly mounts.

my engine is stock . that could be the reason I'm not getting the vibrations. when just the rear innovative mount was installed, the car vibrated more than it does now. i think the front mount was shot. wouldn't the automatics have more of an issue with vibz? they are in gear at a stop unlike mt's.

using loctite on the bolts would probably help the vibration problem.

yep, first & second gear (under hard acceleration) are pretty loud for me too. more of a rumble in the lower firewall than a cabin vibration tho.

if you installed at a shop, you don't know for sure the bolts are all tightened properly. the thru-bolts would allow alot of vibration if they weren't snug against the poly bushing. surely the base bolts are all tight...mechanic would have a hard time screwing that up.

i tightened the shi@t out of the base bracket bolts just to be safe. & made sure the thru bolt was snug.

Ok, Innovative tested a kit on a CL A/T and everything went well they said. They said it fit perfect and they didn't have any issues. However they want more testers before they send anything else out. They do have kits on the shelves so they can do a test fitment anyday. My rep said they at least want one more tester. So Innovative is requesting someone in the area to bring their car down. It can be a CL 01-03 or TL 99-03, A/T or M/T. Here is their address:

Innovative Manufacturing, Inc.
990 Via Rodeo
Placentia, CA 92870
USA

The phone # is 714-524-5246 and please ask for Tim. Please only call if you can do the test fitment. Thanks.

Is the side mount the same for a 6mt & auto? And in all honestly I'd rather have a side mount over nighted to me. I'll test fit it for sure on a 6MT.
Did they get the bolts as well?

Did they mention anything about the sound that some of us are hearing under load? It sounds pretty badass in my vehicle, but I want to be sure that it is nothing due to a faulty mount.

95701-10025-08 BOLT, FLANGE (10X25)

On acuraoemparts.com.

If I'm not mistaken, this bolt would work well for the side mount.... The one we have is (10X16).

I'll pickup a set at lunch, I'm near that dealer. I'll test fit them.

EDIT....

Not in stock. I ordered them & I'll test fit the bolt on Saturday.
With no pic to reference I don't know if these bolts are beefy enough to work.

Please call Innovative directly if you can. I am not certain but with another member they gave him a free set and I'm sure the installation would be free. Please call them though to confirm.

Fuzzy, you may also call Innovative to ask them for the side mount but they are looking for feedback. They aren't sending out the new side mounts until they are certain everything is just right. So they can probably send you one but you need to ask them and they want feedback on everything.

My understanding is that they are going to work on that once the side mount is taken care of.

This one is for a 1999 RL exhaust pipe assy.
95701-10025-08 BOLT, FLANGE (10X25)

I did find another one for a 2001 integra rear disc brake assy.
90103-SN7-003 BOLT, FLANGE (10X25)

Wonder what the differences are? In any case, they're cheap & worth a try. There are titanium bolts available on the web at $25-30 each (yeah right!).

TitaniumCLS6MT,

Those bolt are the correct ones.
95701-10025-08 BOLT, FLANGE (10X25)

Tested the fitment & they are the same bolts for the side mounts just longer. They OEM fit into the stock mounting holes. Here's a pic..

Anyone who needs the bolts should get these. Or if innovative wants to included them that would be nice as well.

Ill probably order up a few of those. Any idea when the new side mounts are supposed to be shipped out? If they cant find anybody else in cali, they just need to send out a few to customers and have the customers provide feedback. I'll be calling on monday to see if they can ship one out to me.

I wouldn't hold my breath. During the group buy the mounts were ready that week for like 6 weeks straight. I have only front and side in and I am now getting serious vibration upon startup and running the car after starting it. And it was not there before just crept up lately. Oh well I knew there would be more vibration not complaining but I hope they actually deliver on the promise of improving that. I figure that is probably going to take a few months though,

So what are they doing, sending everybody new side mounts? Or do we still need to call to get ours? And i highly doubt anything will ship on friday.
