He told me there were going to be details on what we needed to do with our old mounts, shipping and also a for sure date. Not that they would be ready "soon" Soon could mean so much. Oh well, i guess they will come when they come

They worked with another shop in CA to get the test fitments done. Do you really think that everyone that owns a CL posts on Acurazine?

However, I am just the messenger. If you are skeptical, just call them and ask.

no i don't but the cl isn't exactly a common car like the tl. if they had said 3 cls and 2 tls that would be believable.
do you believe that with a community of this size that we wouldn't have heard about it? the test fitments candidates aren't going to be some 60 year grandpas..it's going to be an enthusiast who wants after market performance mounts.

All I said was they test fitted on 5 cars. I didn't say CL or TL. Acurazine is very large and I would be surprised that not one of them would be an AZ member but even if they were it doesn't mean they will post up. There's a lot of ppl that just read the threads and don't post and others that are just guest.

However, all I can tell you is what Innovative told me. I asked how many cars they test fitted it on and they said 5 so I was trying to update you guys. However, feel free to call them and ask them directly.

Mike I understand it has been frustrating for members, but Innovative is willing to work with us and is working on a solution. They aren't hiding in a corner and avoiding the issue . In fact, Mike would you be willing to put one on right away? Innovative wants to send out a few before sending out the bulk of them. They want ppl who are going to install them immediately. So I would like 3 ppl preferably in CA (since it will take the least amount of time to CA customer) who can install immediately and give some feedback. Innovative will send those few out today. As soon as we get more good feedback from those members he will send out the rest of them.

I will take the first 3 ppl here:

1.
2.
3.

Some installed fine so I assume not all were bad and there are a lot of ppl who didn't install their side mounts b/c they think it might have a problem. However, I think Innovative is probably just going to replace it for ppl.

It's no problem. We'll work towards a solution.

I am going to the first 3 that have posted unless I get a CA guy by 3 PM EST. I want to get them the names today so they can ship them today. Billy Sacco I don't know your real name. I know Distorted and Fuzzy's but not yours.

Ok, just had a conversation with Innovative on there chat thing. What there going to do with me, is send me 3 new mounts. Evidentally they redesigned the side and im thinking put different bushings in the front and rear. He said he wasnt exactly sure what they did to the front and back. Since im a 6 speed he is sending, new side mount, New front bushing section area (reuse original gray bracket) and new rear mount. Im guessing for the autos it will be similar to the front where you reuse the grey bracket and put on a new bushing section for the rear. The 3 on excelerates list will probably be getting the same stuff i am. Im still chatting with innovative and will update if theres anything else new. He is shipping my mounts to me today. So todays convo with Tim is a big thumps up!

If they do come through on this I will be very happy. And they talked about a new grey bushing for the front. Hmmmm very interesting indeed!

When I finally went though every possible angle trying to debugg the vibration problem, I talked to Tim about this. One of the thoughts was to use the "black" or "gray" bushing without the center steel collar. I'm curious to know what exactly they changed . . and if it works I'll be one happy camper . . .

That is your tracking #. Sorry guys, I didn't get the info to Innovative until later last night. I had a hectic day. We just finished up a 2 week project and I was waiting on an address from one of the members too. Your mounts will go out today.

They're just sending out the side mounts to the 3 ppl who are going to test fit them immediately. They want some more feedback. Once the feedback is good then they will send out the rest.

I tried yesterday and it made me remember why they irk me so bad. They would not reply at all. At one point I asked is anyone there. They simply replied yes then left the chat. I tried talking to them several time in the day and only around the end of the day did someone even give a reply. I asked if the test side mounts were shipped and they said "some mounts were shipped" which just confused me and they would not reply after that. I don't really feel like calling. I am glad they got your mounts out though maybe someday they will get the rest out.

I also have not yet put them on so i dont know about side fitment yet. I will install them later today and update when im done, but here are the pix

I know i really tried to get it out of him but he said he didnt know he said it was another department that did all that. I even joked and said what is it confidential information or somethin? lol anyways but he did say he wants me to get back to him asap for feedback so he can get the rest of the mounts out to the rest of the customers. And i dont know what he'll be giving everybody but im guessing everyone will get what i got than he will give you return postage to return the old ones to them

Im going to put them on right now so ill be back soon with an update!

Great news! The side mount is a perfect fit! All 3 holes line up perfectly as well as the main through bolt! Also used the new longer bolts from acura that worked perfectly as well. I havent driven it yet so ill let you guys know how it feels. I also have not installed the rear mount yet. Im going to do that later this weekend.

I also think i figured out what they changed in the front and rear mount. The old mounts had a steel plate on the inside and it used 2 small bushings on each side with a collar. The new ones i believe has no steel plate on the inside and is just a solid bushing with a collar. The old mounts seperated where as the new ones i believe the bushings are pressed in becaucse the collar wont move and the bushings stay in place. Heres some pix to show what im talking about

That is the 2 piece bushing set up with the collar

That is the steel plate on the inside of the mount.

I believe on the new mounts that plate is not in the front or rear (maybe even the side) and its just a solid 1 piece bushing with the collar. But since new bushings i believe are pressed in i suppose we cant verify my theory unless innovative tells us.. but im almost 100% postive that is what changed

So far so smooth havent gone that far but everything so far seems great. I still havent put on the rear, which with the old rear mount made the most vibrations and noise, but hopefully this new rear fixes that like innovative said! Will update again after the rear is installed and i have some miles on them, should be sometime late this weekend. I need to get back with innovative monday with my feedback so they can get the rest of you guys your mounts
