I don't know. They took my name & number.

Also I noticed the vibrations are a ton worse with the AC on.

with all these comments regarding vibration noise and discomfort, i'm hesitant to even have these installed on my car. I don't wanna deal with all this extra cabin noise and vibrations at idle...

thank you brian!

i still don't quite understand how they are now test fitting this new mount, yet still have already produced all the "new" side mounts!!!??? kind of seems ass backwards to me but i don't run the company.

If thats a concern I would not do it then. A lot of times I keep reaching for my cell phone because I think its vibrating in my pocket.

I called on Tuesday, to tell them I would bring in my car on Thursday morning right when they opened so I could go to work afterwards. I showed up on Thursday, right when they opened at 730am, they told me the 'mechanic guy' that needed to be there wasn't gonna be in.

Basically I drove all the way there for nothing.

Thanks Innovative.

Fuck this is getting frickin ridiculous. Im getting to the point where i just want a fuckin refund because this is total BS. You should of made them compensate you for your time and travel. They didnt even call you to tell you not to come. They probably just dont have the mount or something so they said the "mechanic guy" wasnt there. Its also friday and they said the mount would be ready to ship today...looks like its another false date just like i expected.

Its one thing if they would of said in the beginning. Hey its going to take about 4-6 months to produce these mounts so everyone was aware what the wait time would be when we paid. But no, we were promised 2-3 weeks and now its been since november so thats over 4 months.

I just had a chat session with Tim online. From what he says, nobody showed up yesterday for testing. He said a mechanic is always there, and yesterday bryan was there to install and test the mount. He said if he talked to anybody it was tim becasue he was the one there at that time. He also said he had cameras he could check to see if he was there, but he said nobody showed up. So somebody is lieing here.

He said we will have an announcment next week and side mount will be availible. So well see how far this promise goes

Who did you talk to? I spoke to Tim and he said nobody came yesterday. And they have a mechanic there all day everyday. Tim has arranged for a couple other local shops to try test fitment also but he says he will still test fit on your car too so give him a call.

When I tried to talk to them on live chat to say the rear mount didn't fit in my car and I payed $300 for install they just played dumb. The whole thing has been just depressing.

i would've been happy waiting several months but getting a thoroughly tested product.. and it's not like we aren't waiting now anyway.. i have them sitting in my garage for a month now, because i don't want to waste my time as they aren't going to fit.

Yeah tell me about it. I honestly would not recommend these with all of the crap that has gone on. I was going to take them out and list them on the black market but I don't know if I could do that to a fellow aziner.

I wish there was an easy out . . . OEM mounts aren't an option . . . except for the side mount that we can mess with. I'll have to see what can be done to the F/R mounts. Based on how mine tore, filling them with poly won't work . . . boy, talk about being between a rock and a hard place . . .

Besides the vibration/noise problem under load, I really love the way the car drives with these mounts, so I'm going to hold out until we get a fix . . . . it's kind of like waiting for a cancer cure . . .

I really don't have a problem with the added harshness. I've accepted it. I just want my damn side mount. And I'm out.

Funny thing on the ride harshness. It's way worse in my Suburban. I noticed it last night. after driving them back to back.

I don't have a problem with the expected increase in some vibration at idle in gear. But the excessive vibration and harmonics is way over the top. It idles like an old farm tractor . . . and I'm not exaggerating about how bad it is.

I spoke with Tim on 3/12 and he was expecting to have news for us by 3/14 on when they would be ready to ship.

He also mentioned that all the test fitments went well and there was no vibrations with any of them. I just can't recall if they test 3 or 5 installs, but this is promising news. Also mentioned that we would be taken care of, so I'm really interested in that.

While I've not been pleased with all the issues, I do feel that Innovative is really working on fixing the problem. I've never got the feeling that they were a shady outfit. I'm also sure while we think we're #1 and should get all the attention, I can sort of see their point based on opportunity size we're probably not.

Anyway, I'm still committed as there's really no choice for me, and I'm sure others out there will jump on these once the problem is finally fixed. This is a must have mod if you are modding your car to perform. The wheel hop will tear up the tranny, drive train, suspension, etc over time . . . besides the noise, I'm still loving the way the car drives . . . a very noticeable difference .

Note...
I was still able to induce wheel hop a few times. It's less & almost gone but it does not eliminate it totally.

I spoke to Innovative via email and they said everything is pretty much done. They want to send me a new side mount but I don't have a local customer with a CL who bought a set of mounts so I recommended they send one to RUF. I am awaiting more updates and will post up as we get more information. It seems that all the side mounts though will be shipping shortly.

Hum, I'm wondering if they want to field test a few on some do-it-yourselfers. This would ensure that it's fixed, and or if there's a problem with the installation process.

At this point I don't mind being a 'lab rat' . . . Note to Moderators, get a lab rat smiley.

I also hope the fix for the front/rear mount vibration problem is fixed by the side mount being replaced. I really don't want to R&I them anymore than I have too, but will do what's needed to get this fixed for the group.

I hope to fully test mine out at the track in the coming weeks. A street test is not a good since there's less traction, but on a track it's a different story . . .

Good point. They should include a return airbill being that it was their screwup. If you have to pay shipping on returning the bad one that would just blow.
