wow Flow, I think you were the quickest out of all of us .. you decided on the chip, and sent out the money in the same day. Some of us took weeks just to decide to buy ..

UniChip is only planing on make 35 PnP harness for the auto TLS/CLS, so the GB has a 35 cap. So we couldn't go higher than that anyway for those who was trying to aim for 40. Per Jack, Uni-Chip does not have any plans to make anymore after this GB.. that is unless Honda/Acura has more CLS hiding in their factorys that are waiting to be sold. :o
Its kind of cool knowing only the 32 people in this groupbuy will have this chip, I think alot of people will be sorry they didnt get in on this. very unique mod

not the chip, the PnP harness. The orignal intend of UnipChip was to have 30 for the GB, and 5 to sell to others at retail. But if we have 35 people then, we get all of them, but no more than that.

So for people who can't make it on this GB, then can still buy it later, but without the PnP harness at retail price.

Ok, I sent the check with a little love note and a picture of my car (I know it's bone stock, but I'm working on it people). FedEx Tracking # is 7911 7588 2923, sent Standard Overnight (it's nice having free access to ship FedEx packages anywhere you want, whenever you want to). Now I gotta get my springs, headers, intake, and all that jazz......can't wait for Chicago to warm up!

Is it still possible to get in on this? I'm thinking about getting one with the harness that way I could use the helms to map out the pin outs on the unichip and adapt it to a 6-speed harness.

Ok, I'm sorry for all the posts, but I'm just trying to educate myself better on my car. My buddy is a mechanic and he told me that there's a computer chip you can get to change the factory settings on your car's computer.....is this kind of what that Uni -Chip is going to do? He said the factory settings are way too conservative and that the chip alters them to make the car obtain more horsepower......is he right?

Wow so anyone not in on this may not be able to get one period is all 35 go, and even if they do, theyd pay retail, but get no plug & play. Im glad I got in when I did.

Mine was mailed out last Wed. Hopefully It'll be there by the end of the week.

Unless you want to wire it to the factory harness, you will need an additional connector, socket and pins. But with that you could easily complete the harness for the 6-Speed.

That was once correct for nearly all and still for some vehicles; but not this Acura. We do not have replaceable or reprogrammable PROMs.

The Unichip is an external computer which intercepts and alters input and output signals to and from the factory ECU to give the desired effect.

Do you know where these can be purchased? (connector, socket+pins). Jack didn't say if he would give me the pin outs. He just told me I'd have to have it hardwired by a qualified installer. It wouldn't take much to figure it out though if I had one that was already connected to an auto harness. Do you think the chip would work on the 6-speed? I'm assuming it will but that there might be a few more ponies to be had if it were specifically programed for the 6-speed.

curious, is there more than 35 of us competing for the chips & PnP, & if that is the case, is it 1st come 1st serve, its hell having to depend on the damn post office. if its not there in time might have to go POSTAL!! is there a tally for deposits received & deposits on the way? Hopefully that figure does not exceed 35, if ya know what i;m saying?

As long as I get the deposit from all the people from Jonsi's list, they are in for sure. Even if they didn't get in their deposit before the people who is not on the list but want in now. I think its the only far thing to do, since those people have already invested the time to follow this GB process and commited early to help give this GB momentum.

What do you guys think?

I'll give Jack a call this Friday, March 12th, and let him know that I will drop off the money on Monday March 14th instead. That way, I should be able to get more in by Friday and through the weekend.

For now, I'm just for 20, just so they can get this building process started. Since they are going to make 35 either way, when we hit the 20 mark.

Jonesi,

Why not just overnite another one to me. If I end up getting 2 from you, I will either send it back to you, or just rip it up, your call. But at least you know you are covered on this GB.

Just a suggestion.

It seems like alot of people are sending personal checks (myself included) and alot of people are just sending their money this week. I would suggest waiting another week before you submit the money to Jack.

No reason to wait once we hit 20.. 20 is the magic number for them to start the building process. As long as rest of the deposits are in before the build is complete, no reason to worry.

You guys do want them to start making these harnesses right?

As long as the people who's checks get there a little after the 12th can still get in I don't think people will have a problem with it. I mean that one guy posted that he just sent his out on the 10th.

You know..

I've seen stuff get sent to Portland Maine instead of Portland Oregon. It happened to me, where I ordered some text book through an Online book store, and they ended up sending it to Maine. I was stuck without a book for the first 2 week of class.

I just got it back in the mail today. Not sure why...it doesn't say. Maybe it's because I mailed it b/f you posted your last name. This is what I have on the envelope.

Brian
Attn: Uni-chip
15070 NW Central Dr. , Apt. 507
Portland, OR 97229

I guess "Brian" isn't enough??? I'll remail it today w/ your full name.

Sorry

Nope, has nothing to do with it. 1 or 2 people who I already received the deposits from didn't even put any names, just the address.

Maybe it has to do with the "attn: UniChip" part.
