Edmonton Acuraziner's
first I did suspension, then lip kit, then rims. After I did suspension, I thought stock wheels with spacers looked really good, so I Wasn't in the hurry to get the wheels at all.
And yesterday I saw my old 3G. Still looks the same except stock height

For the install stuff, I'd go suspension, lip kit, and then wheels/spacers if needed. Then again you already have wheels so why not suspension, wheels, and lip kit.
Which wheels you going to rock during the summer Justin?

Thanks for the replies! Yes I do already have wheels so I think I will go suspension/camber kits with the wheels and lip kit after. I still need to find someone to paint and install my lip kit lol..don't trust myself enough to do a good enough job..
I thought I saw that exhaust on kijiji, sucks that you have to get rid of it. Ricky was looking for an exhaust so let him know you're selling.

Yeah man.. it took me over 2 hours to get home from work today. Traffic was brutal. I swapped back to winter tires tonight after the shit show. Sadly I'll probably be swapping back to summer tires yet again in a week or two since it's supposed to get really warm. I might hold off this time around a bit longer since I got owned.
My "summers" are all seasons...but I wouldn't have trusted them on this morning's roads. Hope they worked okay for you. On the drive in, I could help but reflect on how much I didn't envy the guys that have already slipped out of their winter boots.
just curious, what are some of you guys paying for your insurance?
Mine was about $3420/year with a clean record when i got the car in October, now its $2516/year. Apparently its cause TD got a new insurance policy system than makes it cheaper, and the fact that Im turning 21 in a few weeks dropped it about a hundred dollars too

Wish I could pay your rates! Mine have always bin high, Bmw 550/month, old TL 367/month, new TL 401/month. I've bin getting raped by insurance since I was 17 so I don't even feel it anymore.
That's with a clean record and just turned 21 too, Ain't that a b....

Haha I do have "all season" tires on my summer wheels. They sure don't perform like a "good" set of all seasons would though
You must be one of those crazies lol.
I got quoted around $4000/year when I first got my car but when I switched companies I got around the $2500/year mark (clean record as well). It's more so the fact that we're under 25 opposed to having a clean record. That's not to say having a clean record is meaningless, but once you turn 25 the cost of insurance significantly decreases.
There was an article released a few years back stating the tl type-s was one of the most expensive vehicles to insure in Canada. I'm sure this is for the average vehicle, not including any super cars or anything past the $100k MSRP.
Do you ever visit your buddy that lives next door to me? Is he planning on doing any modding?

^Myron I've been meaning to ask, what did you use as the reflective material when installing your CCFL? Did you just use some aluminum foil or reflective tape? I plan to do mine sometime in the next month or so.

$3420, called in for new rate and got $2700 at first, $2600 for UofA student, $2580 for alarm installed, and $2516 for turning 21 lol. I even got it down to $2250 if i get my R6 insured with them too
I vist him every now and than, not too often though, he usually has a poker night once a month.
He just added ACURA letters on his rear brake light like 2 days ago so it lights up acura when you break lol. I think he's gonna copy me and plastidip his grill. I know he wants an exhaust and intake to start.
he's also got an aspec kit in his basement right now, I told him i was talking to you on the forums, he said to ask if you wanted to come help install the aspec when its nice out lol
try getting a quote from TD, even online its shows pretty cheap

Not sure how you've got it set up, and I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong, but here's a bit of free legal advice...always play straight with your insurer. They're on to most of the scams/systems, and know how to investigate. If the car is held by one person, but the main driver is someone else, they've been known to ask around and figure out who drives the car day to day (they only do this after a claim). I've seen them deny claims to students, after asking around at school and learning that while the car is registered to mom or dad, it's junior that drives it everyday.
Whoa everyone;s insurance is so much cheaper than mine. This is my first car but i went with CDI insurance, had my name under my parents to somehow decrease the amount but im still payin like $4500 a year. Dont think a speeding ticket affects it much, ya never know i suppose.
@you8myrice - Lol tell him to just join the forum and talk to me from here.
@PO_TSX19 - I was with CDI before and they aren't the best rates for young drivers. I hated whenever I had to call them. Easily 30-45 minute wait times regardless of the time or day. I'm with Allstate now and although they don't offer a discount for being at the U of A I still get a decent rate.

^ That's why you need a black roof, custom headlights, and custom tailights lol.
I wonder how he did driving in all that snow. Last Thursday, I was barely getting any traction on my way home in my "all-season" tires. I switched back since I have to do so much driving but it looks like by the end of the week it's going to be double digits. The question is now, when do I switch back to summers yet again and pray there isn't another random snowfall.

After slapping my summers back on, I only had to to endure it for one day. By sat this past weekend all the snow as already melting. This week is going to be beautiful, this thursday is supposed be like +11!
