Nah, I gave them back to Justin. The type S wheels were damaged from a shady shop last winter when I was trying to get winter tires swapped over onto them, thus peeling paint and the winter didnt help either. If you are going to refinish your wheels, I highly recommend powdercoat over paint for durability reasons, which is what I will be doing when I refinish them again. Granted if I can get away with no bondo on the wheels from last time.

Lol, You just gotta take things at bigger angles, but the dips on our roads suck. my 240sx is just as low, if not lower than your TL. =)

Oh hmm. Isn't getting wheels powdercoated quite a bit more expensive than a refinish from a shop? In that case, I might just leave my wheels as is and dedicate that money to a new set of wheels instead.

Paint costed me pennies as I have all the materials needed to do it and a painter that does all my work for me. Powdercoating usually costs around 130-150 per wheel, thats including sandblasting.

Yikes I rather get a different set of wheels powdercoated than the TL-S ones for that kind of cost.

Nice looking roof spoiler! Did you use extra mounting tape along with the strip already in the middle? I gotta put mine on when I get back from vacation. Debadge definitely makes it look better

The KBP with a greddy exhaust belongs to an azn guy that lives on the north side. For the one with yellow fogs, did it have the type-s a-spec kit on the front? If so, it's very possible it's the same car with the greddy exhaust.

It didnt have a strip in the middle, it had two strips of tape at the top and bottom, heated the window up with a heat gun, same with the tape, it seated really nicely, tried ripping it off an hour later, wasnt happening = good.

They're still missing the lip at the bottom of my front bumper. apparently it's discontinued and doesn't come in my color, so the body shop had to put in a request to get it manufactered and then he's gonna paint it after he receives it. but other than that...looks like i'll be driving this to the ground (again...lol)

2jnguyen - awesome job at fixing that all up! The front lip shouldn't be discontinued. A lot of vendors sell a-spec front lips, theres a vendor on here who gets deals through curry acura out of the states for a decent price.

the body shop got it on order for me. i guess it's gonna take a couple month's lead time, but they were stressing the fact that the car would be a write off until the part came in so they decreased the lead time to next month possibly.

i bought a wax kit and some polish plus a bunch of vinyl/leather cleaners. gonna spend this weekend touching it all up.

What products did you purchase if you don't mind me asking?

I replied to your question about detailing, not sure if you saw it a while back on this thread.

oh i totally missed it. sorry dude, ya i was gonna wax my dad's car but since i got my car back instead of writing it off i'm gonna use my vehicle as a guinea pig =p

but i picked up the autoglym wax kit, and i bought the mother's clay bar kit along with some microfibre towels. don't think i should be using machinery just yet. scared to melt the pain and cause more bad than good.

As for the color correction thing, as you can see, my car's white so i don't think i would need to correct anything. Well at least i don't think so anyways, i'm probably wrong. haha

Nice the AG HD wax has gotten pretty good reviews but requires reapplication relatively frequently since the durability isn't quite there. You'll know the wax is gone when water doesn't bead on the paint surface anymore. That wax apparently lasts around 3-6 weeks depending on conditions.

Every color of paint can benefit from a paint correction. It not only removes swirl marks and scratches, it also removes oxidation and improves the clarity of paint. Here are some shots of an evo I worked on last summer:

50/50 of passenger door

50/50 of trunk lid

Before shot of hood

After shot of hood

asking too much $ and not the fastest TL but it would be nice if someone picked it up for cheaper than asking price
