Saw that video haha, she was going ~50mph which isn't too bad...depending what the speed limit is and she was passing a few slower cars too. But it serves that idiot right for tailing, I would slow down to piss off tailgaters too. On a side note, some idiot on ellerslie in a red 2010+ Audi S4 was tailing me in a 50kmh neighborhood and was swerving left and right and then floors it past me just as I turn towards my house and then having to brake hard right away cause of bend in the road ahead.
To me they're both contributing factors to what happened. Truck driver obviously shouldn't be tail gating. Give the vehicle ahead of you an appropriate distance. Wait for the person to move over or find an opportunity to pass if it was legal to do so. Woman filming could put her phone down and pay attention to her surroundings. Perhaps instead of recording a video as you're operating a motor vehicle you try to minimize what may happen and engage in some defensive driving? While what I'm saying is highly idealized, it's interesting to see how far a situation can explode based on people provoking each other on the road. Sometimes it can really help to just take a few seconds to reassess the situation and understand some things just aren't worth it.

I don't even believe the truck driver saw the camera until he passed. You can see him pull past to look at the driver, before committing to "the finger". My guess is he saw the reflective vest draped over the seat, and wanted to make sure it wasn't an off-duty LEO. Or perhaps he wanted to make sure it wasn't someone bigger than himself; these guys are generally cowards deep down.
But the accident was all on the truck driver. The car didn't even waiver. She was even relatively "clean" in her post-accident taunting. Sure, she could have moved over to let him past her, but if she was going at or over the speed limit, I don't beleive she has an obligation to assist anyone break the law. Particularly as that simply reinforces this guy's "I own the road" mentality. Though I'm not about to assume he learned anything from this experience.
If this was Alberta, I'd say too bad about the camera, because otherwise she could give evidence as to his behaviour leading up to the accident, and have him charged criminally, rather than simply with careless driving. But that would be hard to do without getting into hot water for the camera.
I'm in 100% agreement that "she" (I can't tell if she's a "she", or just a young kid) shouldn't have been messing with a camera. She should be driving...that's it. But I don't see how she contributed to the situation. I say this without knowing the speed limit, but again, 50mph is a good clip...that's about 80 km/h which, for the type of road, seemed about right.

I remember years ago a work colleague coming late to a party, and immediately asking to borrow the phone. He then proceeded to call in to report his vehicle stolen, as he skirted around a checkstop on the way to the party. Didn't even bother to consider that the police would see he wasn't calling from home. He was kind of a douche, as I recall.
He was undoubtedly going to get himself home and then report his truck "stolen". And then not sleep for a week, wondering if the police would be provided with the video.

So I've now determined that the buzzing I've been hearing from the passenger side is not something loose in the glovebox (as I previously thought), but is coming right from the door speaker. It seems this is a common enough problem. Anyone have any suggestions on the best place to have this looked at? I'll have to replace the door speakers; I wouldn't mind jumping up in terms of build quality (I don't want to be replacing these panasonic speakers again anytime soon), but I'm not enough of an audiophile to need reference quality speakers.

Edmonton peeps, where do you guys take your acura for service? I drive a 3.5RL and am wondering what a good alternative to the stealership is. Who better to ask than fellow acura owners in our city! I know we love our baby's and i just want to be able to pay a fair price for fair service (and from someone who has actually seen an RL, since they are less popular than the TL). So spill the beans acura lovers!

I'll look into those. As for the actual replacement, I'm guessing it's too much to hope for to expect it would be a simple swap; I'll likely need to get someone with experience. Since the local shops would presumably frown on me bringing in my own speakers (even if they themselves don't sell what I need), does anybody have any referrals to someone who knows car audio?

That's interesting...I actually went to Visions, but it was the guy there that said that they don't have a 2ohms set, and that my best option was to simply get the OEM (and pay too much). Actually, he suggested that if i could get the part number for the OEM, that I might be able to get the OEM for cheaper, but I assumed I couldn't walk into Visions with my own speakers.
