I'm under the impression that you only replace the coils and nothing else to do with the suspension when upgrading? One day I will invest in that.

@Jriddle8 - I'm always rolling around with my waffles on. But they will become my winters when I get around to some new rims for new summers. Probably have 2 more seasons for my summers.

Haha I've learned the hard way 2 seasons in a row not to jump the gun and throw my summers on too early. Edmonton seems to always have one last snow storm before it's actually spring time. But with this nice weather, I did a nice 2 bucket method wash on the driveway the first time since fall. Car was so nice and glossy for a day or two.

@Justin - Nice pick ups! I usually get my alignment from Matt at Sherwood Dodge. You can PM him on 780tuners, his username is cudakid. He has a 3G TL as well.

tires are crap, 5x114.3 bolt pattern but width and offset is unknown (seller can't find specs). Also don't pay 900$ for these since they are 1000$ new.

For what it's worth, while I don't miss my blackberry too much (some features were good, but my android is far superior), I do think BBM is the better way to go. I'm particularly thinking about when meets are organized...the integrated Glympse feature will let you know when 2 or 3 guys are on the other side of Hawreluk.

I never used BBM in my life, I had BB for 3 days, first time it froze I smashed it and never looked back haha

 

So...who else feels pretty good about being slow on the winter/summer changeover? I didn't mind this morning's drive at all, but I noticed a lot of white knuckles around me.

 

Haha doesn't everyone know about Second Winter? It was worse last Thursday than this morning. Last Thursday had people doing 15-20 under because you know, their cars might flip over if they drove normally over fresh snow.

 

Lol I'm on my summers right now and man its scary and fun at the same time haha.

Heard on the news this morning is that cars were hitting the ditch... really?

my rule of thumb has always been to never change out your winter tires until easter long weekend

 

Usually the people who hit the ditch are people who dont really know how to drive (majoirty of cars I see are trucks and shitty small cars like a Tercel or Civic).

 

or if you have nice wheels, don't put them on until they clean the roads. Rocks and sand will destroy a nice set of wheels real quick
