@tai - Nooo what happened man!?

Anyone have any idea how to fix a DRL problem? Since my passenger side DRL doesn't work, neither does my driver side, so I have no DRLs at the moment and the high beams work only on the driver side.

Haha Jeff, I'm in the same boat as you. I have been running with no DRL's for the past 2 years, doesn't really bother me. But yeah my driver side hi beam is the only one that works.

Hi beam?? thought the low beam was the high beam, drl are used for fogs in the us models and just drl in the Canadian models. you high and low are the D2S bulbs. Well that's how mine are at least. And jeff what kind of problem you having with your drl? shoot me pm bro, ill see if I can help you out.

I didn't have any on my 2G TL either. After an accident the wiring was cut to one of them. And if one doesn't work the other doesn't work either. So i just took out the module from under the dash so I wouldn't get that light on the dash and got an aftermarket fog light wire harness with a button that I wired to those bulbs in case I needed high beams.

I've been away on vacation in Cali for the past few weeks. Oh how I didn't miss the snow and cold weather. My heat doesn't work in my car anymore either. Looks like I have to do the DIY heater control valve. Off to the dealership to grab the part!

Haha not 100% certain, but it seems like it might be a likely culprit. Part should be arriving tomorrow so I'll find out if it's the needed fix.

Yes the sensor isn't going off anymore but there is a bit of resistance when closing the passenger door. Sounds like it's almost rubbing against something. I haven't looked too closely at it yet but I noticed it.

Remember when you took a look at my rotors and pads? Did you say that the rotors were too small? I might just get new rotors and pads since the squeaking is driving me nuts.

I'm at 133,xxx. I'd say these are smaller issues. No major problems that small DIY's won't fix. I have a tendency to prolong fixing them since I really procrastinate it in the winter.

I think they were to small. Cant recall. Thinking of getting regular rotors or something fancy? you can sell your old ones to anyone with a base TL. 6mt and type s have the bigger rotor and caliper on the steer.

did you guys see the prototype for the new TLX?

I think it looks pretty good actually. Don't know how I feel about those jewel headlights but I like it a lot otherwise

I don't mind the jewel headlights but who needs 8 or 9 speeds...I myself prefer the Lexus IS 250/350 series over the TLX. I like how the TLX's front end has some resemblance of the 3G TL tho

yea a lot of people are comparing them, right now I like the TLX styling better, but we'll see what it looks like when they go into production. I find IS to be really small

At first glance I thought those chrome pieces were LED fog lights but I was sadly mistaken. Hopefully that will change in production. The side mirrors look really good.

The new design of the IS looks way better than before. Far more aggressive and less boring. Before I always attributed it as being a chick's car.

The TLX is nice but what is with so many automakers these days hiding the exhaust outlets? It looks so dull, they recently did that to the 2014 RLX.

Hey Vince. Pretty sure they are fogs/driving lights (or at least an led strip)...did you see the TLX ad they prepared? It's linked
. You can see them lit up. Not sure how effective they are, and I'm betting they're more for aesthetics more than anything else (like the verticle strips on a Ford Edge).

I still have to see the production model. If I do get the new TLX, it will be the all wheel drive version for sure. I will not go back to fwd especially we live in a place that gets a lot of snow.

@Arthur - If you get one, gotta take me for a spin haha

@sockpuppet - Long time no see! I like how it looks but a 9 speed 3.5L and 8 speed 2.4L are kinda lame but we'll see how it turns out come production.

^i won't get the TLX soon knowing that I just got the RDX. I will trade the RD in 3-4 years, hopefully I'm already getting a decent salary by then so I can get a fully loaded TLX :P But i will take you for a spin if I get one. Are you thinking about getting the new IS? I think they look really sharp.

Hey Jeff...yeah, I've been admittedly MIA. Lost track of my login details a while back, and was too lazy and busy (do those go together?) to look them up. Also, I find for me that A-zine can be a real time burgler. But I've been lurking again as of late. In fact, now that I'm back, I guess I'll need some advice as to body shops; I noticed after hockey practice several weeks ago that somebody rubbed up against my fender. At first I thought it could be buffed out, but it's looking like I'll need paint. Add to that the chip in the rear door paint, and the one quote I got was $2,500. Wouldn't mind having someone else look at it as well, though. Quote I got was from Jaehn's. Anyone have thoughts? I know people like to suggest Doug's place, but from my experience, if you go in there with anything less than a Porsche, they half-ass it.

that's bullshit if that's what they do. I mean you are paying the same rates as the guy with a P-car, you'd expect the same quality of work.

Doug's did a pretty good job on mine, however there first quote was WAY more expensive ($1300 more) than what my insurance adjuster did, Jim Youngs gave me a quote abit lower than the adjuster and i've heard good things about them, especially if you're paying from your own pocket

$2500 for a fender and door? Mine was about $4000 if i remember correctly for every panel on one side of car
