My lowered RSX is just loving the snow with the Noikans this year, my dad jokes I do a better job at removing snow with my car than city trucks haha. Best thing about having a messed up front end is not caring if it gets damaged more.

I'm usually driving faster than 95% of other people on the road, even bombing through the unplowed left lane.... /sigh I doubt it's because I'm crazy. Definitely wish I had some studded winters, but this should be the last season for my snowprox.

lol
since the nice warm weather on the weekend, the check engine light went out.
im thinking this means it was probably a frozen sensor or something.
cest la vie.
i got stuck this weekend wiht my yoko summer tires.
snow was just too soft.
no traction.
cant wait till tuesday to have my studders on.

what kind of LED markers? White LED ones?

You have to go through your wheel well to get to them. Turn your wheels all the way one side so you can unhook all the plastic clips, pull the black plastic out so you can reach in towards the side marker and I think you just squeeze the sides of it and they pop out.

WOW with shipping 95$? Just the fronts? that's WAY WAY WAY too much man.

I think Vinsanity paid like 30-40 $ for all LEDs for both our cars. And I just did it over a period of 2 days after work both days for a few hours.

I took them out, cut them open, made spacers of blank light switch plastics (those ones people use to cover up the holes when they don't want the switches to be there or something), soldered in the LED strips, glued them back together and that was it. I did this 3-4 years ago and Vinsanity's are still good I believe. We did back and front on both our cars, white in front and back red to match the tails

I am doing a similar thing on my FX on the bumper reflectors, except I will have to do the wiring also so it will take a little longer but it's just 2 wires so shouldn't be too bad.

I'm not a fan of residential roads right now. I decided to not have my car raised as high this winter and I'm paying for it. Snow plowing with my undercarriage! There's supposed to be residential blading starting in 2 days but there's another projected snowfall this weekend. Fudge.

@EDMGenerTL - I bought a set off the vendor acktl a few years ago. Something like $25-30/piece if I remember correctly.

@Siidhu - Yikes that's crazy expensive. Yeah the set Myron made is still holding up perfectly for my car. There's a DIY available on the forum that we followed. Just order the leds, grab some random supplies from CT, and you'll be good to go.

I am not sure on the LEDs, I didn't buy them, Vince ordered them for me. But as far as I remember that's close to what they looked like.

And to get headlights like you would have to get them cleared out (if you have a base or 04-06 TL). If not just get some switchbacks. You would have to solder a resistor in the signal light module, but that's not hard. i did it a few times so I can help you with that. But I forgot where I got the resistor

you probably should have got the switchbacks, they will light up white just like in the picture you posed, then when you signal, they will be orange. Your signals are suppose to be orange when they blink, legally, or cops might be assholes and give you tickets.

I know JBOND got harassed just for taking out the orange reflector out of his headlights

Look through that DIY thread just to see how big those LEDs have to be to fit in there, I know it's a tight fit. And yea I will help you out with those. I am doing pretty much the same thing on my car, just waiting for the LED strips now. Got some already but it wasn't enough

I think the switch backs are really expensive, but I don't think cops will say anything about the white turn signal, my brother used to have a Harley truck and it had blue turn signals, I don't care if cops say anything as long as I'm signalling when I'm suppose to, yeah ill order the LEDs for the sidemarkers, and what should I order for the mirror turn signal? A led strip?

you want to change the mirror turn signal color? to white? I don't know man, I know nothing about the mirror signals, I never had a type S and didn't have those. I thought you were talking about rear side markers

I have to look at the DIY to see which terminal is - and which is +, and then you can pop those side markers off, I will give you my old red ones for a day or 2, and then when i am done just swap them back. depending on time, I might do one one day and the other the next day you know, I have a pretty busy schedule

Hey Myron, so you know how to install signal switchbacks? I want to order some switchbacks but I have no clue as to how it's done

yea same as installing a light bulb. it's just a light bulb you plug in, but it will hyper flash due to resistor not being adequate enough, so you buy a resistor and solder it into the signal light module that's under your dash. I did it before it's not complicated
I don't remember what resistor and what ohm it is tho, but it does say in the DIY on this site.

@myron

So the bulbs are the same as any other bulb. Where would I solder the resistor?

there is a module under the dash, it's like a little plug with a box around it. Not too sure what says on it, but you can look up the DIY on this forum. You heat up the old resistor so solder melts and take it out, then solder in a new resistor. It's like 10 min job. I think it was harder finding the module under the dash than it was doing anything else.
And yea, bulbs are just normal bulbs, you take old ones out and put new ones in. Simple as that

Here I found the DIY:
