my friend, you forget you have a skill that not a lot of people have nerves for, you detail cars. There are guys on 780 that might help you out with a lip ( a bunch of buys do body work) in trade for a good detail. They love doing body work, you love detailing cars. I would put that out there for sure. And you can get a front lip from Justin, he's got one for sale, 04-06 one. It doesn't even have to be molded, just cut to fit and painted properly

^ Haha that's true. Oh that puts me in a bit of a dilemma now. Detailing this summer might get very busy for me depending on the demand. If any of you guys are seeking details, let me know because if I start to get really busy, it may be a long wait. I will have to keep thinking about the lip idea. It is very tempting to say the least.

put it on 780 and ask for a trade of services or something. Ask Justin if you can just test fit it real quick so you see what needs to be done and you can make it happen this summer even. Because to mold it and paint it will be way more than 450$ like that guy said

I wanted A-specs initially so I might give him an offer. A-specs look amazing and not too many people run them here in town. I've seen two and that's about it.

Yeah I'll probably make a thread when I get back from vacation. I'm heading off next week and will be putting the car in storage since I won't be back until the beginning of June.

Ricky, I'd buy your rear a-spec if it were painted in KBP

Welcome jnguyen! Jeff (EdmTSX) also has a black TSX with quite a few mods.

Haha there's actually one more member in the south side. A fellow KBP owner, Sanjay (Darkness).

Anyone up for a meet this Sunday?

lol my car is so basic. i decided to stop modding it up, i just realized my wallet is gonna love me alot more in the long run.

i wanted to get a rear strut bar and put in throttle spacers and new pulleys but i decided to just stop after i installed the basic SRI and tint. i was debating on tinting the roof of my tsx but it doesn't look too good because it had that white antenna on the top that you can't cover

I'm southside as well, though I realize I'm not nearly as active as you guys, and am the black sheep (with a 4g TL).

I'd be curious to swing by any meet you guys have...put some faces to avatars. Perhaps it won't snow...then at least the city can get done with road cleanup. Driving to work today, I was turning left onto a Gateway onramp, with a Hyundai coming the other way. I contemplated punching it, and getting in front of him, but then thought better of it. But as soon as he got in front of me, he kicked up a rock, and I could see it coming right at the windshield. Yay...my first crack!

I'm surprised you're the only 4G owner on here. I see so many of them in the city on a daily basis.

Yikes it's a crack? I got 3 rock chips on my windshield these past few weeks from driving on the Henday. It's inevitable in this city.

Welcome jnguyen! Great to have another tsx on the forum. Were you by any chance the one messaging me on the tsx-club forum?

@arthur - haha name is Jeff :P btw how much are you selling the switchblade key for? Theres going to be a group buy for those pretty soon too.

Right now I am debating if I should jump into the CT-E header group buy that ends on friday..and i might be in the works of getting these since the XXR 527s are backordered til mid June..remove the "-" between club and rsx

Me too. There are certainly a few of us out on the road, though not as many as I would have expected; I kept an eye out when I was car shopping, as it's always nice to get an impression of the car on the road...looks different somehow that just sitting in a showroom or on a driveway. And the TL was Acura's best-seller, until the MDX knocked it our of top spot, but they didn't seem overly abundant.

The new crack is just a small one, but it's right at the side of the windshield...I just know that all it'll take is one pothole hit the wrong way, and it'll stretch across the screen.

my middle compartment in my car seems to be stuck, the smaller cubicle above the lighter socket. i know most of you have TL's but i'm pretty sure the interior is almost identical. anways, whenever i push down on the compartment it gets stuck, doesn't want to "unlock" and open up. i have to press the top of the lip and jimmy it a bit. any of you guys had this problem ? not quite sure how to fix it, i took out the top compartment so i could see inside but all the gears seem to be in working order, it's just stuck somewhere...any help?! lol

@jnguyen - When you take the cubby out and try to open and close it then, it doesn't get stuck? Make sure the wires behind the cubby aren't in the way and that the box is put back in correctly.

Without meaning to imply any disrespect for this forum, this question is more vehicle-specific than it is Edmonton-specific; if Jeff's answer doesn't assist, I would cross-post to the appropriate foum, and take advantage of a bigger pool of potential answers. You'll be more likely to find someone who has seeen or can replicate your issue.

Agreed, there is an entire sub-forum dedicated to "Problems & Fixes" for the 1G TSX.

@ Vince - Did the auto obsessed store open up yet?

@ jnguyen - On a white tsx, maybe white stock wheels, black makes it look like your running steelies imo lol.

Black stocks ain't the greatest, I did it on my old TL after a week I looked at my car and though that's quite shady. haha
Wish I didn't do it. But it was done and I was too lazy to reverse the process
