You should take some pics with a background of a spray painted tacky lincoln navigator on one side, and escalade on the other, both with 26"s, and pit bulls, and bling bling all over the place.

That would be bad ass!@!@!@#$#% :P

Ok, I need some advice from guys with drops. I'm thinking about getting Comptech springs sometime in the future, and I was wondering about installation prices. I called the dealer, just for laughs, and they were gonna charge $154.......PER WHEEL! Just for labor!:sqntfawk: So, where's a good place to go, and not get butt raped?

I hope it doesn't, I checked the forecast, and it says clear for Friday night.

If it does rain, then I'm headed to my sister's house. She's getting a silver G35 today.

The guy who installed my coilovers could do it for ya, but he is on this side of Town (near 635 & 75 interchange) He'd do it real cheap, and he garauntees lifetime work on the part you had installed.

I'd give you his phone number, but I've apparently misplaced my damn cell phone.

Sounds good, I don't mind driving far if it's good guaranteed work, and cheap, you can't beat that.

Btw, take some pics of that G35, hopefully you won't be seeing it Fri., but whenever you do see it. I really like those.

I probably will see it Friday, I'll need to stop by my sister's house anyway to pick up her old car. I'm gonna use it as backup transpo/daily driver.

Ohh, and I'm gonna talk to my future bro in law about that 350z, he can get me one for 28K fully loaded. Employee discount.

I really want to like the 350 Z, its suppost to be a great performer. And I like Nissan/Infiniti, but I just haven't gotten over the appearance yet. I really don't like the way it looks. Hopefully when I see it in person, and get to drive it, *hint hint*, I'll come around.

Mantis,
I know you're gonna be putting a system in your car soon, but do you already have all the components? Just wondering cause my buddy David is gonna be doing this soon, and the Hawk store by his house is having a sale on those square solo baric L7 Kicker 12s. By one for $200, second's half of. He only wants to put one in, so he asked me if I wanted to get one, but I'd rather spend $ on other mods first. I think the sale ends at the end of the month. Just thought I'd ask, btw, hope you enjoy seeing my taillights tomorrow.

Yeah, I've got al the components, just need an installer.

Ohh, and the only time I'll see those tail lights is when I give you the right of way as we head back home! :P

OK Hanzie, that's all good. We'll be on channel umm.... 3.

Danny, since Hanzie will come a little later, you want to meet up earlier? When are David and his buds meeting up? Maybe we can stroll down there with them.

Hit me up.

Yeah earlier is fine with me. I can't get a hold of David right now, but I'm sure everybody won't mind meeting earlier.

I called up texas motorplex and they assured me that its goin' down tonight. That also assured me that danny would need to bring a pair of binoculars in case he needed to get a closer view of my tail lights.

You must be cause the only way I'm gonna be able to see your tailights when you're behind me is with some kind of periscope contraption. I'll be back at ya when I get to the finish line.

And, yeah, 9 sounds good. I also have a friend getting off work a little late, it wasn't gonna be a problem b4 when we were meeting at 10, hopefully 9 will still be enough time. Damn it's thundering outside right now.

We should be good tonight though. I made sure they would have it, and he said yeah. I hope it doesn't get rained out, I kinda doubt it. If you need a little more time, that's cool. I'm callin' ya now to make sure we're on track.

yo yo yo ,

It was pretty fun out there tonight.
fastset run was 14.967, that sucked. and the only way I got it was after I took EVERYTHING out of the car, including spare.

Guess it was too humid out tonight.

I'll post the videos in the morning.

Jeff, get the clutch fixed yo! Danny, you know you should be hittin 14.6-14.7 but I think the heat killed everyone.

Later homiez.

Doh! I never got a chance to record one of your runs, Danny.
Sorry about that man, I thought I had gotten you earlier.
I'll get ya on the next go around(when it gets cooler.

Here are a couple of the vids.

Jeff & his brother (what's your brothers name again, Jeff?)

Don't worry about not getting my run, none of them were worth watching any way.

I know I can do better after I get the hang of shifting and don't hit the rev limiter. My friends in the stands said they could tell i shifted to 2nd to late cause the car kinda bogged for a sec. I got a couple of ideas for next time. I need to get rid of all that wheel hop too. But it was still fun, except I gotta admit, I was the one looking at taillights last night .

I don't remember if I told you guys, but I talked with the guy in the blue G35 and he said he ran a 15.4 or maybe higher, I can't remember exactly. But I do know it was higher than my worst time.

We'll definately have to go again when it gets a lot cooler. I know my friends will run next time too. They said next tim they're just gonna watch for a while and then start running at about midnight when the line goes down.

Ahh, thanks for the info on that g35. I got one of his runs in on video. Once you get the hang of gate shifting w/o hitting the rev limiter, you'll be all set. I hope I can swipe my sisters g35 next time we decide to head out there.

Dats right.

I figure we could go again when it gets cooler, like a couple of weeks before the track closes for the off season. No point in going out there with all this heat.

The track has an off season? Dang, that sucks, I wanted to run in Feb. when it's like 40 outside.

I just looked at the calender and it looks like the last time we can go b4 the off season is in Nov. I'm probably gonna go out to Fun Ford Weekend in Sept. with David and Marc.

Do those videos work for eveyone else. I'm up at work trying to download them (much faster connection) and it's saying this... "Windows Media Player cannot open. You may need to reboot to complete installation of a downloaded component. Please verify that the path and filename are correct and try again." Can anybody help me out?

Okay, last post for a while.

Mantis, are these the wheels you're getting, cause they look hellagood on this 02 Maxima. All the article said was that they are 19" Lowenhart polished wheels with Toyo Proxes.

Alright I lied, one more. I went over to FreshAlloy.com and found the G35's times, they weren't as bad as I remembered, damn. But I still would have beat him. Here's a link.
