Just got my TL last week and love it and this forum is awesome for information. Quick Question, does anyone know somebody that is good at installing alarms or already have experience with installing the Push Button start system that is available for our car? I really want to do this but I don't trust just anyone messing with my baby. It might also be useful to list where we work in case anyone ever needs anything.. I work for T-Mobile so holler if you need something... THANKS

If you forget, give me a ring . . . I got one awhile back . . . got tired of running to Autozone and getting the generic report they print off.

sup guys. Need your help. Anyone knows any good, cheap tire shop and a place to get an alignment in the Mansfield area? I was recommended Discount tire on 287. I only need one tire/mount/balance. Thanks in advance

Discount is fairly reasonable and you can find them in lots of places so that makes it a good choice in case you are somewhere else and you need to bring it back in. Other than that I don't have any knowledge of places in Mansfield.

That sucks. I'm wondering if one of my tires is out of balance. In fact these tires are just starting to piss me off. I'm bound for a new set pretty soon so I might just get them a little earlier than I planned.

what sucks is that I change mine in pairs....I hate having one worn out one with one brand new one. So one tire will be out of pocket.

I have the same problem as you. I went to David McDavid Acura and they said they probably couldn't do anything, but would ask Acura Corporate. Apparently the best they can do is 25% off the price of materials and labor. I thought that wasn't worth it at first, but now I'm leaning towards taking that deal. Although the cracked dash doesn't bother me as much.

Are you a 245/35 or 235/35? I have a 245/35 I'll see for 30 bucks, it has a little over half life left (I THINK). Let me know if you're interested. I kept it incase I ever needed to replace a tire.

Did they ever give you a number, like $1k or whatever? I want to keep it looking fresh...looks raggedy when you see it.

Ethan you think we can do a tranny flush on my car at the same time we do yours? If you don't want to it's fine, I just wanted to change mine eventually.

I believe they told me somewhere around $1250? The labor on it was 650 and I think the part was around 600. With the discount that is about 1000.

That reminds me if mine is even worth doing right now. One of the tech's talked to me Wednesday night about it & said the service bulletin said it's due every 60K, but that a lot of customers do it every 30-40K with great results & I surpassed 43K last night.

Considering what he found from my brake flush, I should probably give it some thought, too.

With the way the previous owner(s) took care of the maintenance of my car, I wouldn't be surprised if the tranny fluid is the original one from the dealer. I really need to take a look at it.

Now, keep in mind you can't go in expecting the same exact deal. They might give you a better one, or one that isn't as good. Since I don't take my car there to be serviced or worked on, this is the best they gave me. I only got a discount because they have on record numerous parts I've bought from them and I had the paint my grille. I was told that if they did more maintenance to my car, I might have gotten a better deal.

I wonder where the fuck my deal is then? They've been servicing the car since new for 4.5 years now.

I get most of my service work done at Vandergriff Acura in Arlington. They know my car. I might have to ask them, but then I received an email from Goodson Acura for a free oil change. Seems like they would work a deal because they are always hunting for some business. It's all in the art of negotiating.
