Tint friendly state inspection?
Random question, didn't want to start a whole new thread. Does anyone know any tint-friendly state inspection places in the DFW area that will pass you with darker tint? It's hot as hell here so every bit helps!
I've heard of arriving with your windows rolled down but I'm skeptical of that and have also heard of some people sliding some cash to the person who will do the inspection. If you could PM me any suggestions I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

hey imj, if you're going to come out would you rather do Dave and Busters on 75 and walnut? I know either way you have to drive but what would be easier for you?

Could be . . the scanner says that's a "catalyst system efficiency below threshold Bank 1" . . . I believe Bank 1 is the pre-cat 02 sensor.
Some things to consider are:
- how long since it was last replaced?
- do you have headers?
- are there any exhaust leaks before the 02 sensor
- problems within the intake system, such as Mass Airflow sensor, fuel injectors, etc.
- it could also be bad gas with build up on the sensor
You can try putting a bottle of RXP in the gas and if it's something minor that could do it. It's worked for several people I've suggested this to. You can get it at Autozone and probably O'Reilly's.
I'm sure Nelson can add some additional thoughts.

so i went to a muffler shop and they told me that i just need to replace the cat... i asked them about the 02 sensor and they said that those are different codes but i have not replaced the cat since i got the car, i just cleaned my egr ports, and i wish i had headers but i dont lol and i have a brand new IACV, what does that RXP stuff do?
Sure they did. So how much did they charge you for it? CATs are typically are good for at least 100k+, and many go 200k if the car has been maintained and runs a good gas. BTW, I was throwing the same code, but I have a hi-flo CAT (which is cheaper than a new OE CAT in most cases) so I just needed to add a O2 Cell Eliminator.
