Also not sure how much I like the 65mm full frame equivalent telephoto lens.

52mm was fine since thats close to a 50mm lens. but 65? would've preferred if they bumped it out to 85mm.. would make for great portraits

 

tough question on what color to go with. pacific blue, or silver. Not sure i want to go with graphite or gold ( )

 

Went with green for the 11 Pro Max but it's in a case 100% of the time.

Really like the green, but it limited me a bit in terms of case selection. Dunno if that matters to you

 

Well, I was thinking of going with one of those clear MagSafe cases. Then again I'm not that fond of the white circle for the magnets. I suppose if i went with silver it would blend in better.

Looks like a great upgrade if you have anything other than the 11. It just doesn't seem like a huge leap over the 11

 

12 Pro Max to replace my busted 7 Plus.

 

I've been waiting to get a new phone and with today's event I'm going with iPhone. I really wanted to get another Google phone but the Pixel 5 isn't even trying, IMO. Been an Android user for over 10 years and I'm excited to jump over to iOS.

 

No bias, I keep tabs on what Android has to offer. Definitely some very nice devices with promising stuff in the pipeline. I don't want to miss out on something better.

However, there's just too much synergy between all my Apple devices. Not so much a walled garden as it is an enclosed dome now, but I'm okay with it.

Admittedly can't compete in terms of brand new vs. brand new for budget devices (~$400-500), but I think it's obvious that the pricing strategy is not focused on that.

 

That's the great thing about tech, it's always pushing forward and companies without that Infinite Game mindset is going to collapse. I'm no fanboy to Apple or Google, but I am a fanboy to my productivity, sanity, and the expectation on what I'm getting with my money. This year is Apple's year that got my money. But who knows, next year Google may make me lust over their products again.

 

Their site is fucked at the moment. Trying to prequalify and it fucks up every time I try and enter my info as part of the apple upgrade program. Can't get s specialist on chat, either, which means its happening to everyone.

 

You can prequalify already? I haven't received an email about that yet.

I was thinking about sticking with the 11 for a while but a same size hi res OLED screen in a smaller lighter phone is hard to resist.

I was mistaken. Not prequalify just check eligibility. The site is still messed up but the app works fine.

I’ll be getting the Pro Max with 256gb. The larger sensor and apple photoRAW is more than enough for me to upgrade. The magnetic back is a cherry on top.

Have to see if my wife wants the 12 or 12 Mini. Or if she just wants to keep her XR.

 

I like the green. It’s subtle. But even in a clear case I feel like hardly ever notice.

I got an offer from Decluttr for $800 which seems pretty good. I would get the 12 Pro Max 256.

 

I think i'll be going with the blue. Something different. I was originally wanting to go with silver. Blue just seems more unique. Also the silver looked more white to me at least on the 11 Pro.

 

How did you get an offer for $800? I just checked and they said $400 and I have the exact same phone. Verizon users were $500.

 

Not sure, I got my offer before the event and there is a code to use to get 10% off.
