I haven't been this torn between two devices since I tried out that medieval masturbation torture device.
im with you on that. I'm not sold on the ears and rounded corners. Plus the X is $1727 Canuck bucks vs $1287 for a 8 (taxes in), I'm not convinced the additional features are worth 450$. Second my 6 just got destroyed while I was caught in a rain storm in Dubrovnik so I don't have the luxury of time to wait for the X even if I was sold on it.
Damn Apple will even preapprove you for the upgrade program. I just really wish it wasn't a hard pull esp if you're already part of the upgrade program, so annoying.
it requires an iPhone 6 or later and iOS11 according to apple.com I'd love to wear just this for my bike rides, instead of taking my bulky phone with me. Oh well...
Wow man. Apple is the Big Baller Brand of phones. Pricing is out of control
You're looking at it wrong. Apple wants you to see it as being only $56.16 per month over 2 years on upgrade program or $47.87 on device payment program. That's probably less than what you pay per month for wireless service, right? It's also less than what people spend on gas in a month.
Gail Evans and Marta Ramos have one thing in common: They have each cleaned offices for one of the most innovative, profitable and all-around successful companies in the United States.
For Ms. Evans, that meant being a janitor in Building 326 at Eastman Kodak’s campus in Rochester in the early 1980s. For Ms. Ramos, that means cleaning at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., in the present day.
In the 35 years between their jobs as janitors, corporations across America have flocked to a new management theory: Focus on core competence and outsource the rest. The approach has made companies more nimble and more productive, and delivered huge profits for shareholders. It has also fueled inequality and helps explain why many working-class Americans are struggling even in an ostensibly healthy economy.
The $16.60 per hour Ms. Ramos earns as a janitor at Apple works out to about the same in inflation-adjusted terms as what Ms. Evans earned 35 years ago.
Nice to know the janitor at least makes more than the unhelpful store employees
Ive always had really good experiences with Apple Stores. They are trained for customer service. The one time I had a bad experience, it was REALLY bad...like dude crossed a line bad. Bad enough that I emailed Tim Cook...less than 24 hours later I'm receiving contact from the regional manager, and then the actual store manager...It was made right and I was more than taken of for the issue.
The new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus come slightly taller, wider and thicker than their iPhone 7and 7 Plus predecessors. The differences, however, are a fraction of an inch, so if you have been wondering whether your old case will fit the new phones, it probably will, at least according to Apple's official accessory page. We just took a peak, and there the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus cases are listed as compatible with the 7 and 7 Plus. Oh, the joy.

It's a luxury expense on a device that will get replaced every year or two years at the most. Unlike buying a new phone, I have to pay my wireless bill and gas every month and that does not change drastically no matter what my habits.
The iPhone 7 Plus 128gbwas what, $900 when new?
The X 256gb is about 25% more expensive. 25% is the roughly the difference between a perfectly reasonable Accord and an "overpriced" TLX
