Apple: iPhone News and Discussion Thread
Seems like buying a Verizon at full cost is the best bet. They are unlocked.
So apple pay works internationally if your phone is set to US region and a U.S. based CC is added to passbook.

Yes but that's not the point. Apple pay was supposed to be only US only at first.
This just means an international iphone can work, just have to change the region to US then add a USA credit card and then Apple pay will work.
Also means when we travel outside of US, Apple pay will work.

Can you buy unlocked phone at Verizon store without signing up for a plan? I read that if you buy the Tmobile phone from apple.com you will get an unlocked phone without having to sign up for tmobile.
Verizon and Apple will sell you a unlocked phone if you pay for it outright.
Just occurred to me why my LTE is so slow lately.
Just saw my cell usage stats which was reset when I started using the 6 Plus.
8.8GB since 9/19
Thanks AT&T for throttling my unlimited data.

Really it's not so much the device ( though the 6 is really nice) itself but the plethora of apps and the apps that are on WP aren't as good as the iPhone version. Things have definitely improved on WP but still got a way to go.
Now with 10.10 I finally have a version of OS X that doesn't have any major annoyances and doesn't destroy my battery life, it's actually quite good. So if I switched back, I'd be all Apple (iPhone, iPad, rMBP) when it was like that before it it wasn't that big of a deal but with continuity, and iCloud improvements, there's a much bigger benefit to going that route.
I'd still miss the camera on my 1020 though, and cortana is getting better all the time. But there doesn't seem like there'll be another big update until Windows 10 next fall. Maybe with this insider program I'll get an early glimpse of Windows 10s features that'll be coming to the phone as well and that'll convince me to stick around. While WP 8.1 is a huge improvement, it doesn't seems like MS will have their shit fully together until this time next year, and then they'll still have the app problem...

If I got charged for two crap burgers at McD when I only ate one, I'd be pissed.

A number of Bank of America customers took to Twitter to complain they were charged twice for purchases they made using Apple's new mobile payments system.

Another oops! to add to their list of recent mishaps.
I'm messing around with a Note 3 here at work, simply to give TMobile feedback on coverage and overall service. I think it's about as big as the IP6+?
Crazy how small my 5S feels after spending time with the Note 3.

Wife's 6 arrived last night. Nice handset.
As much as I don't care for the IOS experience on so many levels, I have to say that the transfer of data from old phone to new phone via icloud was phenomenal. Icon layout, ringtones, wallpaper, etc. just appeared and required no interaction once the restore form the icloud backup was complete.
