This Ad Blocker is pretty suite! It's got a nice set of options and I can enable it for all or specific apps if I want.

I have a question. We've had our iPhones for about a month now. Last night I signed I to iTunes under my name and synced my phone so it would have all the apps, all info on the computer just in case. Then I signed off and logged in under my wife's name and synced her iPhone. All of the applications I have on my iPhone were installed on hers. Then I hooked up the iPad and all apps fom my phone and her phone are now on the iPad.

I thought you couldn't share apps on various devices. Was this a mistake or can we do that now?

From what I understand, you can. For Itunes, you can sync up to 5 devices to one itunes account.

its bearable, im guessing part of the slowness was due to the processor.
Edge is slow on my phone. I'll take 3G over it, especially when we are paying for a plan that includes 3G. If I get an Iphone 4, without contract, those are just ridiculously expensive right now. Not gonna do that. I'm kinda happy I'm switching. Get to try new things. Plus, on android a lot of the stuff you can do, you need to jailbreak an Iphone to do that.

I'm getting true multitasking, I have a lot of customization I can do. Hardware wise, the Nexus S is short of the Iphone 4. But I care more about software than hardware. Iphone's software of course is smoother and cleaner. But gingerbread(android 2.3) has gotten a lot cleaner, while not as smooth yet. It still provides a lot of customization and just more options because it is a lot more open.
I know I will miss certain things, but we'll see how it is. I'll let you know if you want.

Also, Google will take over the world eventually, so if you arent sided with them, be prepared to

assuming you are using the same itunes account you can. Say you accidently deleted a paid app. You can re-download it for free, I believe. Right?

and how customizable is android in stock form? (or whatever form it comes with stock on your phone)

cause everytime i hear about how customizable it is, its because people have rooted their phones.

a lot of things android can do, you need a jailbroken iphone. Things like different keyboards and stuff you dont need rooting. I'm not exactly sure how much into depth you can change without rooting since I dont have the phone yet, coming tuesday. But one thing for rooting is say the notification bar on top, if you want to change the color, you need rooting to do that. Thats like our winterboard. Ohh also folders, which iOS has now, but before you needed to jailbreak to get it.

So I'll fully answer your question later, but the customization is mainly for your 5 pages that you can place widgets on. I like that idea better. Thats really where the customization comes in.

edit: I guess the main reason I'm happy is I've just grown over this whole iphone thing, and I want to try something new. I'm pretty sure I'll like it, but who knows I may miss my iphone, if thats the case at least its easy to switch back. Ohh another thing I'm gonna miss, is itunes. Google needs to come out with a software like that.

Am I the only one that finds iTunes extremely annoying? I just want to drag and drop music/movies. I don't want to put it in a playlist and I don't want the music file to be permanently be in a designated folder. iTunes just makes transferring music/movies such a hassle. And I hate having to worry about the damn sync all the time.

I don't know if it's just me. But I have to copy and paste music into designated folder. Open up iTunes, add file/folder to library, go to phone, sync music. And it's even more annoying when I want to put music in a playlist through iTunes. Why can't I just freakin open up windows explorer, goto my phone's storage, and paste music? Want playlist? Right click new folder, bam.

Are you saying I can drag and drop music to the iPhone HDD or what? Because using iTunes is not manually in any way

no, you cant drag and drop in windows explorer, you still gotta use itunes, but no bullshit have to put in one folder crap or sync playlists type junk.

just put all yer music into itunes no matter where they are on the computer

and when you want to put music onto your iphone or ipod just select them in the list and drag and drop into your iphone/ipod.

it helps if you use itunes as your media player.

Yeah I hate iTunes for adding stuff and ringtones where there are apps to make ringtones but then you have to sync it since you can't just save it on your phone. But iTunes is great for the sense of always backing up for you since I rarely did that with other phones.

FYI to the other guy me and my wife have iPhones. We share apps all the time. The only thing is that if I have one of the apps she installed on my phone, I have to know her password to update it which isn't really a problem.

Untethered 4.2.1 JB is currently in beta so should be out soon. Also supposedly geohot has an untethered JB for 4.2.1 also but it only works on certain devices. comex supposedly has a user land JB but is waiting until apple releases the next update 4.2.2 or 4.3 to release it

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one having problems with the alarm. I had to be at work at 10:00 yesterday morning and didn't show up until 11:15 because my alarm set for 8:00 never went off. Thanks Apple.

I don't even use the built-in alarm anymore, and haven't for a long while since I purchased "Awaken"

http://embraceware.com/mobileawaken/

And it's on sale right now for 99 cents. I liked this app because it has a gradual wake feature.

Never had a problem.

All the previous issues were on days I didn't have to be up. But last night, I did as was suggested and set a recurring alarm. No problem.

In fact, my phone alarm has been the most consistent alarm I've ever used.

Ah yes...cue the apologist post for ALL-HAIL-APPLE.

So by your comments, and since I'm neurotic, I should have 3 alarms. My Desire's...a battery one...and an electrical one since you know, the battery one my run out of batteries.

Fark...I should have another FX50S...in case my FX50S breaks.
