JB is already out for the 3G and theres a JB for 3GS on iOS 4.2 but no 4.1 though you can downgrade from 4.2 to 4.1

The GV apps aren't Google's though right. I don't think Google would charge for it. Plus Napster came out with an app. But it's like Rhapsody where you pay a monthly fee for tons of music. I just hope that Skyfire gets approved or Flash.

 

No, the GV apps are made by a third party. But GV Mobile + is fantastic, I can't see how Google could top it. Just as good if not better than it was when it was a app.

I still have mine on, and I don't see anything replacing it in the distant future. Aside from the slight inconvenience of having to remove it to plug the phone into the in-car hookup, I like it.

I like the feel of the phone without it but after dropping the phone with the bumper on once... it's staying on.

 

The charging port is one. The mute switch is another. Bot holes are way too small. I have no idea why this was done this way. Also, if you have any screen coverings on, it's a good chance the repeated removal will cause the protectors to come loose on the edges. You also have to use an adapter on some headphones.

Not a very well designed piece, IMO. My free rubber case that's a bit too loose has gotten much more use.

i can plug up all wires and it feels just like a bumper in terms of size and rigidness..

 

So I gave into the madness yesterday and picked up my 4 with 32 GB. I had no plans whatsoever but I just happened to be in the store in line for something else and turned out to be eligible for an upgrade. I heart it. What's the best spot to buy 4 covers? All that seems available are the rubber/plastic Griffins, at least locally. I have to pick up a screen protector.

If I try to restore my iphone 3G to 3.1.3, will apple be a douche and not let itunes do that. Because I dont want to end up in restore mode and have to go to 4.0

It's funny thou, for a while I had the 24 CTU ringtone and my coworkers sad it reminded them of a dentists/doctors office

 

Well it's not a 24 exclusive thing. I don't know what brand of business phone it is but it wasn't made up for the show. They probably just never watched 24. It's hard to just jump into. I watched the first 2 seasons then stopped watching cause i couldn't devote enough time to it to follow it well enough.

 

That's horseshit! you're the JB expert you're supposed to tell me some magic app I download and boom I got SMS ringtones! I saw a guide and it started talking about OpenSSH and that's when I hit the back button. there's got to be an easy way, I'm in no mood to be bothered with an SSH session into my phone for gawddamn ringtones!!! I just want to use my already made .m4r files as SMS ringtones, that's got to be a simple hack with a few lines of code, right?

 

My friend that I jailbroke and unlocked her 3G to work on tmobile well she lost her phone! But her friend found it a couple days later in their car, I almost killed the girl! Put into too much work for her to lose her phone. now I want a JB or non-JB way to find her phone without paying for that garbage MobileMe service.

So what's good tracking app for finding a lost/stolen phone?

sms ringtones changeable if you have JB your iphone
you can't make it additional ones to existing ones but you can replace them
i voice recorded my gf's voice and used it on 3.0 before
i sorta find it useless, so i just use default ones for 4.0
