Damn 100WH battery! Anything bigger than that and you can have issues carrying it on a plane because while the TSA will allow up to 150Wh Airlines can set lower standards and many do.

Apple has finally come back with a laptop serving of the "Pro" monicker. Its nice to see.

Trust me when I say that there are plenty of people that are glad the butterfly keyboard is gone.

 

Im not getting rid of my 2016 anytime soon...but yeah, I will be happy to not have this keyboard anymore when it is time.

 

I've had 6 MacBooks with the butterfly keyboard and only had an issue with one of them.

 

If the smallest piece of lint gets under a key it causes problems. Its an annoyance more than anything, but its livable.

 

Did you have keyboard covers on all of them like current one?

 

You probably sold them before any issues came up.

I don’t feel comfortable going into details, but I will say this much - if you’re getting one of those MacBooks with the known display/keyboard issues, get AppleCare.

In case I didn’t make it clear, GET APPLECARE.

 

Not really needed since Apple covers the keyboard with or without AppleCare 4 years after purchase.

I worked with the displays and keyboards, but never knew if they were warranty units or not.

Better that the stock climbs more than anything.

 

I'm still hoping for FaceID but that doesn't appear to be coming soon, TouchID or using the Apple Watch for authentication is fine. I'm probably going to hold out for a 14in MBP with WiFi 6 though. WiFi 6 is a huge improvement in WiFi, it seems like it will finally solve most of the issues that have plague WiFi since its inception, and if I'm going to keep a laptop for 8-10 years I'd rather have WiFi 6. My 2013 MBP has WiFi 5 (802.11 AC), this 2019 MBP has WiFi 5. I think they'll go WiFi 6 with the next spec bump, probably when the announce the 14in version it'll have 10th Gen Intel processors, and WiFi 6, and the 16in will be updated to match it.
