You'll fall in love with the phone, then a few months later it'll start getting laggy and buggy.
I wouldn't recommend a Samsung to anyone but the casual users. Even then, they'd have to be okay with the stutters. Many people I know who have owned more than one Samsung device are considering switching to another OEM, myself included.
I keep saying this... as of right now Samsung has the best hardware overall, not taking into consideration the build materials. Screens are gorgeous, cameras are amazing in decent lighting or better, and the phones themselves look great. But when it comes to Touchwiz, the cons outweigh the pros. There are times I just want to throw my Note 4 as hard as I can into a wall.

The people I mentioned encountered the same issues. Galaxy Nexus, S3, S4, S5... Note 2, 3, 4...
I'm close to downgrading to Kit Kat. Been waiting for an update to fix the current issues for 3 months now

Forgot to mention, my phone was perfect for a good while. I had no real complaints after disabling S-Voice, which cause some lag when pressing the home button. And slight lag when pressing the "recents" soft key.
But then screen on time gradually degraded to about half. I started disabling location services, bluetooth, syncing (while I all left on when I first had the phone). Having a gimp a phone to use it is silly. Sony is basically the only Android OEM that keeps wakelocks under control. I wish the others could duplicate whatever wizardry they're doing.
Truth be told, I really dislike Apple as a company. But I am this close to going back to an iPhone. For the first time in 4 years, their lineup offers a phone I want.

My S5 has been lagging still, I enter in my passcode. Lag, black screen... Type in numbers for my passcode... Lag, black screen. I booted up my Iphone 4S last night to enter in new numbers in case I go back and start using that, until my contract is up.

Got the Edge+
it is a combination of Note 5 + S6 Edge.
Has the same screen size 5.7 as note 5, the same 4Gb ram, processor and camera. Pretty much the exact same specs as Note 5, minus the pen (which i never use anyway)
+
the style of S6 edge.
The camera resolution is crazy.... compared with Iphone 6+... not even close.
I compared with the Note 5, honestly, the exterior difference is very minimal compare to my old Note 3. The side profile looks better on the note 5 but if you look at it from the front, they almost look identical.

How does the Note 5's camera do in low lighting?
I was wrong about that. I initially had no interest in the Note 5, but I watched and read a few videos and reviews on it. Touchwiz does seem less intrusive now.
Despite the bump to 4 GB of RAM, the Note 5 still has RAM management issues. Disappointing to see. For anyone looking into a Note 5, I'd say look at the LG G4 as well.

I know I sound like a broken record or some anti-Samsung shill, but my Samsung devices have been frustrating to say the least.

[Video] The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ And Note 5 Are Aggressively Killing Background Tasks, Decreasing Multitasking Performance
While the Note 5 and S6 edge+ are far from the first Samsung phones with reported issues killing background tasks with unusual aggressiveness, they are the first ones with four freaking gigabytes of RAM to do so. We've long assumed that Samsung's background task issues on certain handsets are related to a lack of RAM headroom due to TouchWiz, and yet, the Note 5 and S6 edge+ may exhibit the most aggravating task killing of any Samsung devices we've yet seen. Let's cut to the video for a complete explanation. (I realize it's long, but I'd recommend watching all the way through to see what's going on here.)
The issue was readily reproducible on both our S6 edge+ and Note 5 review units, and we aren't the first people to point this out. Essentially, if you run an app on the S6 edge+ or Note 5, then subsequently open four or five other apps in the meantime, going back to that first app almost invariably results in a full "reflow" of the application - meaning longer load times and more data usage.
Compared to a Nexus 6 opening the same apps in the same way after a handful of intervening loads of different apps, the S6 edge+ in our video here almost always reloads the background app more slowly. Differences in load times range from a fraction of a second in apps like Twitter to several seconds in apps like Yelp, Uber, and Chrome. Such a thing is clearly detrimental to overall user experience, no matter how you slice it. Sometimes this results in other annoyances, too, like reflows that send you to the incorrect scroll point in a given application. Basically, it's not pretty - when a Nexus 6 with less and slower RAM, a slower processor, and slower storage is easily pulling up background tasks more quickly and reliably than the substantially more powerful S6 edge+, you know something weird is going on.
What is that something? We really don't know. There's speculation this is some kind of power-saving feature - an attempt to nuke background tasks so that they aren't using CPU time or extra RAM when they're not in the foreground of the OS. Given that both the S6 edge+ and Note 5 have a smaller battery than last year's Note 4 and Note Edge, this theory at least seems plausible, even if there's no direct evidence for it as of yet.
We'll be reaching out to Samsung for comment on this story shortly (though it's the weekend, so we may have to wait a bit), but suffice it to say, this is exactly the sort of problem that turns people off of TouchWiz. It seems like cutting off your toes to meet weigh-in for a boxing match - ill-advised and pretty clearly a net performance loss, despite whatever other benefits such a strategy could offer.
I'll also say that my anecdotal experience with battery life on both of these phones hasn't been great so far, so it's not like we're getting incredible off-charger time in exchange for enduring the background task guillotine. You can expect our full review of the Note 5 and S6 edge+ (we're combining them because they really are basically the same phone) in the next couple of weeks.

Yup, Amazon, that's where I ordered my S5 battery. Actually need to buy another since my wife is having issues with her S5. She's been through 4 chargers 2 OEM Samsung chargers and 2 Ackley.

How long did her replacements last?

you'll need to rely on the reviews for the particular battery.
since flip didnt name the battery manufacture, we're kinda lost.
cuz there are cheaply made batteries and better made batteries.
would suck to tear down your phone only to recieve a cheaply made battery.

How do i know this? because the initial preview of the pic and the final pix in the gallery look very different.

I prefer doing 1 thing fast without lag than doing 3 things at once and all slow, if you know what i mean.

I am having diffciulties with Microsoft exchange (work email)
It will sync but it will not receive any more new emails after the initial sync.
and none of the email accounts on there will notify me when a new email is received (unlike all my other previous phones)
Checked all the settings.
Are there some kind of email compatibility issues with the new OS?

For me, there has always been a delay when pressing the recents button. And as mentioned, it still takes longer to reopen the app sometimes.

yah it is on... even tho now it is called "Auto, When Received" , which makes more sense anyways. All the settings are correct as far as i can tell.
Not just my exchange, my 2 other hotmails are also not notifying me when emails are received.
So now i am forced to download and use the Outlook App.
Also calendar are not sync... even tho Sync Calendar is cleared checked.
I already checked with IT and they told me to wait for new update

In 10 months, when my OG motoX hits it's 2nd B-Day, I will probably replace it with another MotoX.
