Sorry with limited data plans and data outage in certain areas (my gym) I want music and pics on demand. And apps are getting bigger and bigger. My 32 GB Note 4 really only has 24GB after Touchwiz. More than half of what is leftover is eaten by app data. I'd prefer my pics in an SD card readily available. Cloud would be great if I had unlimited data. I already average over 10GB/month.
Anyway, I have a 16gb SGS4 and haven't filled that up so whatever. Also Google drive has free storage for unlimited photos and music. Local storage is going away very fast and won't be around all that much longer. You can always move files around if you're going to be in an area without service (like your gym) or switch to wifi.
Also touchwiz is a massive skin and one of (if not the) the worst skins around. I have the GPE galaxy s4 and it has a MUCH lighter ROM. Going with a Nexus image makes the overall free space much higher.

It storage is an issue that is why they have the new 6P 64gb and 128gb.
My 32gb N6 was a pain to deal with I will admit so I am happy I could get 64gb for only $50 more with the 6P. I thought about getting the 128gb one but for $100 more still I decided against it. I just don't record enough video to make it worth it and I only keep a couple play lists on my phone at a time in Google Music.
SamDoe I average between 8-10gb a month as well. I have bought phones at full cost for the last 4 phones now because of that just to keep unlimited data. When I travel a lot some months I have used as much as 15gb of data.

End of the month, I'm at 11.7GB.

Alas, I'm happy with my Nexus 5 2013 and unless something happens to it, I think I'll stick with it for a bit.
(I think it's because I have to be responsible)

How the F do you average 10gb/month? If you're using that much data then finding an unlimited plan would be rather valuable for you. I average ~1.5gb/month with medium streaming, I can't imagine what it would take to get up that high unless you're tethering your laptop all the time.

And yeah it's really easy to eat 10GB data. Mind you I shut OFF my data when I get home so that it's not switching between data/Wifi all night (another Samsung issue I've had with my Note 2 and 4). Mind you I have Spotify and listen to my music offline that's saved to my phone. If I don't use the offline feature for music I'd eat wayyyy more data than 10GB.
Who the hell has an unlimited plan for data???

Wifi at home only. It just seems that apps use way more data than before just like they're getting bigger. Honestly I noticed that when I had the old ATT unlimited plan (5GB cap) I used less data. My habits haven't changed since I went mobile share to 15GB/month (had to change because of pricing and terrible data throttling). Pretty mysterious why my data usage has somehow doubled in a year.

I am dissapointing with the lack of wireless charging but excited about the rest. I think the 6P would be a good upgrade for you. I also like that it is .25in more narrow than the N6. I didn't mind the size of the phone but it will make it just a little easier to hold I think.

$50 for 32GB is BS. I got my last 64GB microSD for $20. And no the read speed isn't noticable for me.

But you paid $50 for 32GB. I paid more than half for double that upgrade. Why does on-board memory have to cost so much more?

What apps do you have that are communicating an extra 8GB of data a month? I'm genuinely curious because that's 5x what I use and I thought that was a lot. Unless you're streaming video often, that's a pretty lofty amount to hit.

My use habits are pretty similar except I also use spotify to stream from time to time but my usage last month was 1.72gb. I use wifi at home and data at all other times.

I am using a little less data right now cause I am paying for Google Music and if there is something new I hear I will just listen to the album on that but I used to download off torrents anything I heard on XM when I was listening to things if I wanted to hear the entire album on demand.
It is possible that the more and more places that add wifi I might be able to use less data. I don't trust public wifi though that much. So other than a last resort with bad cell signal I will use my data plan 100% of the time if I can.

Having a phone so big though has seemed to render my tablet almost useless to me though.

Damn you Google this is a big deal to me. Now you are making me rethink my 6P order.
Intel, Qualcomm, and Why Your Nexus 5X & 6P Can?t QuickCharge with USB-C
Not having both wireless charging and QC2.0 is a big deal. I know USB-C charges natively faster than micro USB but that means I always have to use the included charger. I also have to go out of my way to get a USB-C certified car charger as well. Had it been QC2.0 certified I could have used either. I adopted QC2.0 all over my house. Two wall chargers, a battery pack, and a car charger for my N6 and my work S6.

stop being cheap.
you adopted new technology
it's only common sense that a device that uses a new shape and new charging format would need new chargers and car chargers.

I used Waze once using Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice, we got a few chuckles but then it got annoying. I stopped using it (and uninstalled it) when it told me to make a left turn at a "No Left Turn" intersection. I've yet to experience that with Google Navigation

even tho waze is a google product, it doesnt have the same directions.
I got lost with waze, entered the SAME address in Maps and it took me to destination.
also, I didnt know friends could "honk" at you in waze. I'm driving minding my own business when I get "honks" from the app!
surprised me, was cool for like 10 secs.

Google maps is always messing up for me. My location is on of course but the icon will stop following me a lot of times.

sometimes, my gps will play catch up, almost like yours...how the icon will just stop. but then catches up.
so you need Data+Gps. if phone is dropping signal to 3G or less, GPS is less accurate and will pause

I use Google Maps locally for directions. I use Waze all the time when driving around for police information and especially when on the highway for long trips.
Waze + V1 has prevented a lot of tickets over the years.

Fucking Facebook Messaging app, literally unusable, I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling... Nothing works, the shit crashed again as I'm reporting it

i uninstalled FB messenger because there was no way to turn off notifications.
I couldnt get an ad to go away, it kept popping up in the notification tray...FUCK FB!

Another thing I hated about Waze was that it'd give me wacky directions like make 3 left turns in a row when I could have made ONE right turn This usually happened when I deviate from its directions and it had re-navigate (but I deviated from the route because I wouldn't turn on a No Left Turn intersection)

The only app I have issues with on my ATT Note 4 is Facebook. It tends to get stuck and you have to manually close it especially when using the in-app browser.

oh, yeah... I use Google maps but I am mainly looking at traffic slows and such...

Yea only good thing about waze is the crowd sourced traffic/police info.
Other Than that I'll stick with google maps.
Heck I had better navigation with Apple maps over waze

Porsche has announced that its forthcoming 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S will support Apple's CarPlay platform. According to Moto Trend (via AppleInsider), Porsche selected CarPlay over Android Auto because under the agreement of partnering with Google, certain amounts of data would have been sent to the search giant.
Some of this data would have included vehicle speed, throttle position, and engine revs, all points of information that would constantly be flowing back to Google's headquarters each time a driver gets in the car. Comparatively, all Apple's CarPlay requires to know is whether the car is accelerating while the system is being used.
Porsche's reasoning behind the decision points to not wanting to share the information with Google that could include the ingredients to its "secret sauce that makes its cars special," along with the fact that Google is reportedly building its own car at the moment. A few other vehicle manufacturers have announced support for CarPlay, but the service is just this year beginning to see a wider release despite being announced -- as "iOS in the Car" -- over two years ago.

Interesting that google needs that much data transmitted back to HQ.

I used to report (on cops in Waze), but it hit me... the places I was reporting were places that annoyed me the most where people get on the bus/carpool lane when they don't have another passenger (during bumper to bumper traffic), the other spot is where the speed limit is slow due to park/playground and people haul ass around there when they shouldn't. By reporting, I'm just helping those fuckers out, so I stopped
