About two weeks ago, my camera on the M8 started to overexpose all the photos when there is bright sunlight. None of the settings can fix it. What could be the problem? Scratches on the lens?

How dumb do you have to be to not put the pointy end in.
It's even more dumb on Samsung's part. Their response to it takes it to another level even beyond that.
They pushed up the release of the Note 5 to August ahead of it's typical release in September, presumably to get a jump on the iPhone 6S Plus sales. This likely could have been easily avoided, were the release not rushed.
I've never put the S-pen in backwards on my N4. I can easily see it happening though, especially if you use it every day. I've dropped it on my bed in the dark.

It's in the damn manual though. Hey, don't do this.
People proceed to do it.

In the interest of not sounding like a completely biased asshat, a guy has a glowing review of the new Note 5 vs. his Note 4:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/com...eturns/cufme1d
He does mention TW is much lighter, and the screen is somehow better than the N4 (which IMO was the best out there). Still, he mentions in another comment that he'll likely get a 2015 Nexus 5/6.
I'm still salty about my Note 4, and so are others in that comment chain... if you must have a Note 5, don't get it on ATT or Verizon.

Read the Note 5 review and yes to this:
Plus will it suck in a year like mine? He's already saying the battery is kind of meh.
The largest problem that I had with the Note 4 after upgrading to 5.0.1 was that it stuttered very frequently, the bluetooth would skip all the time, the device would get very warm while charging, and the 'Recents' button would literally take seconds to respond, which, subconsciously led me to believe that it did not register a touch, and thus I would press it again, cancelling my original request.
Supposedly it's because the apps haven't been optimized yet. Battery life is supposed to get better, generally. But yeah would have been great if they used a 3500 mah battery.

Also reading online, the resistance on inserting the stylus backwards is the exact same as the proper way.
There are definitely scenarios where it could be inserted wrong, namely absent minded people or children. But one would expect there to be resistance on inserting it wrong, much like a microUSB plug.

There is still no solution for my email notifications (google, hotmail and Microsft Xchange)
Outlook App notify me but there is no "Red #" on the appl when emails are received.

To give those people credit, AFAIK the phone doesn't come with a manual. You have to go online to get it.

Do you guys read the terms and conditions whenever you install programs?
Can't believe putting in a stylus backwards requires completely disassembly of the phone to remove.

Should have made the "head" a little bigger, so it will be too big for the hole.

I'm just about done with Android. Off the charger yesterday at around 10am.

After this screenshot I turned off wifi, bluetooth, location, and syncing. Still ended up with ~1 hr, 40 mins SOT, with 20% left at 4pm. This phone is starting to remind me of my Galaxy Nexus
As you can see too, no reception problems.

Will do a factory reset again when I get the chance. It's just a big hassle.
I really might have a lemon. While listening to Spotify, my phone started listening as if I uttered "Ok Google" even though I disabled the voice detection. The music could even be paused, just picking it up from my center console cubby set it off.

I'm starting to think that Touchwiz, Lollipop, ATT LTE don't mix batterywise. When I get home I turn off data and leave on Wifi and my battery improves. I wish they had a data button on the dropdown menu.

Honestly it seems all the Android phones have their pros and cons.

My note 3 was flawless for the 15 months i had it. Probably the first Samsung that did not lag after 6 months.

my wife, who's always been a loyal Apple fan, she's got Apple EVERYTHING, and is tempted to switch comes Dec. when her contract is up. Granted her iPhone isn't the latest model, she's got the 5S but she complains here and there about it too just like everyone else. The ONLY thing that may get her to stay with iOS is the fact that she's got a LOT of paid apps.

Honestly I could switch since I don't have any paid apps, but it's the ecosystem that's got me locked on. I love the syncing between devices. Or that I could be in the middle of something on my phone and jump to my desktop or iPad and finish the rest exactly where I left off on my phone
re: complaints, indeed, every phone is a compromise. That's the truest statement for the market. Just depends on which compromises you're willing to accept.
I've had an iPhone for 4 years, then an Android for 4 years now... the itch is real bad to switch.

BTW, I got the Note 4 when it was only a few weeks old and it was flawless with Kit Kat. OS updating for all smartphones brings out some kinks man.

My Edge+ is driving me crazy because of all the lack of notifications and sync problems.
But the phone itself is the best phone i have had.
Even with all the BS. i will not switch... But i am about go to back to Tmobile and yell at them.

The new Huawei Mate S looks kinda nice. Pricey though.
5.5" screen, force touch, 3GB RAM, 13MP camera with OIS, dual SIM (for frequent travelers), over 1 day battery life with fast charge (2x faster than iPhone 6+). Oh, and "Knuckle sense 2.0."

Is it going to be $700 since it's 700 Euros or do they factor in the exchange rate?
