Yeah they got rid of the disable button on Twitter. Luckily, Twitter doesn't drain battery like Facebook does so its not a big deal.
Also, people were able to find the Apps Ops setting without the need for Root! For those who aren't familiar, Apps Ops allows micro level permission management that is now present in Android M. For example, for the Twitter app, I disabled Twitter's access to phone/contacts/location information. Not sure why Twitter needs those things from my phone but in any case I have restricted access to that information with Apps Ops.
Details here for those interested:

It may or may not work on other Lollipop devices?

What's your favorite Music Player App?
- it must play music files on the phone and SD card (you can select which folders to play)
- it also must be fully functional with bluetooth in your car so you can next songs, etc.
Thanks!
PS. I love MusicMatch but it has a very lousy integration via bluetooth.

Was finally updated on my S5, I was almost tempted to ditch it and go get something non samsung.
No more lag, but I do need to get a 32GB card so I can store more pictures.

why is it all the apps that lets you sign signatures (PDF files) eventually become a monthly or yearly service? And they're expensive
Anyone know of any apps that's flat rate (and NOT too expensive)? I'm willing to pay for an app, but I ain't doing the monthly/yearly thing

or just sign the document live.... it supports both.
My next phone is going to be an iPhone or an Xperia.
My Note 4 was at least 95% last night, location off. Woke up this morning to find it at 48%. I have other problems too, but this one pisses me off the most. Set up greenify this morning.

^I'm with you. My S5 is trippy. Battery life sucks.

?Motorola? I have been pretty happy with my MotoX and all it's predecessors.
My friends say the same. That said, battery life degradation over time seems normal with all phones.
How quickly I forget. I loved my Motorola X 2013.
But despite being a "Google" product, it still hasn't gotten Lollipop to this day. I also some issues with their customer service. It was a clusterfuck dealing with Moto Maker. My brother is kinda unhappy with his N6 too.
User experience-wise, I love the Active Display on the Moto X. No other phone I had up to that point had sleep mode and driving mode either. Removable battery is important to me now as well (see my reply to earlier quote). Felt great in my hand too. The only phone I ever used without a case or a screen protector - it still looks new.

Why's your bro unhappy with the N6?

almost like cars; there's not gonna be a product that fills all niches...and most products will have their flaws!

break-down of the phone shows a chinese processor, which CANT handle android 5.0.....
it was found that the tech company is Leasing the Commodore name just to sell the phone.
(fantastic business model!!!)
also, those "custom" emulator's can be found on the Google Play store.

Not like it matters, but I was reading an article that the new android M will add NATIVE visual voicemail, like how it is with iPhones.
Is that true?
I would've thought you guys would have it. Or was it with 3rd party apps or manufacturer skins? Ie touch wiz etc

This reddit comment sums up how I feel about iPhone vs. Android at the moment. Another thing I would miss from Android is quick charging, but that would be moot considering Apple's amazing idle standby.

If they ironed out the 3rd party keyboard issues, and implemented quick charging and whatever incremental upgrades Apple tend to implement, I would jump ship.

Nothing wrong with stock Android. My brother isn't terrible unhappy with it, but I think at this point I'd be happier with an N6. I just wanted a white one. Motorola/Google massively fucked up the release.
I felt that way for years. I had an iPhone and then a 3GS. Used every iPhone extensively since then and never felt like going back until the 6+
Windows Phone is out of the question with their barren app store.

But just now when I went outside in broad daylight, the 750 nit brightness mode kicked in. The auto-brightness boost in daylight magnifies the advantage of Samsung's S-AMOLED screen over older OLED displays most other phones have.
When I'm watching a video or reading an article, the smart stay feature keeps the display on.
Android didn't get the quick toggle for auto-rotate for the longest time - which is absurd to me. Touchwiz is slow, yes, but some features that Samsungs have are useful.

I still have yet to use the "eye-scroll" feature.

Personally, its the first thing I disable when I get my phones from the carriers. I forward my voicemails through Google Voice. Google voice does transcription and Hangouts becomes the Visual Voicemail app. I also allow Google Voice to text me the transcription so I can read it there if need be. Transcription is far from perfect but it gets the job done. This also allows me to access my voicemails from any browser.

Personally, so far I could probably use this phone a day and a half before charging. I haven't tried yet but usually by the end of the day (meaning right before I sleep) I'm at 50-60% with my usage. The sleep idle on this phone just blows all other phones I've used away and I'm not sure what LG is doing to achieve such sleep idle. Oh also, this phone DOES have quick charging enabled. I bought a Tronsmart quick charger for $10 the other day and charging is so fast with that thing. It tops up from 50% to 100% in about 30 minutes or less (never really timed it because I don't ever find the need to do a quick charge for my usage). Remember this thing has a 3,000 mAh battery in there!

Also bought this same exact Quick Circle Case in Black for my G4 from e-Bay for $14:
I must say, as far as cases go, this thing works well. The camera works with the case closed and opened because it doesn't block the camera due to the opening. When you have the case closed and you Double Tap the Volume Down, it'll open up the camera inside the quick circle so you can see the viewfinder and quickly snap pictures without opening the case. Its pretty neat. I've also downloaded Quick Circle Apps which expands on its capability by adding more apps:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...avst.quickapps
The added bonus is that it adds Qi charging to my G4. So yes, Qi charging does work on the AT&T LG G4. It is flaky though as I have to sometimes reseat the case on my phone so it hits the prongs correctly (I'm guessing the heat is causing the cheap sticker to shift when its charging). Also, for whatever reason if the alarm goes off and it is on the wireless charger, it'll hang and I'll have to force a reboot by holding the power button. On another note, the Nexus wireless charger doesn't work on this phone as the magnets tend to activate the Quick Circle case function and it also doesn't sit flat enough because of the curve onto it. I've only tried the Qi charging on my Tylt Vu charger and it works great.

Interesting. I think with the Note 4 you can only quickcharge with the propietary plug.

He had an S5 before this, I believe. He liked the bells and whistles that Samsungs have, the camera, quick toggles, etc. but did not like how slow the phone got over time.

I really really really wish the carriers would get their grubby hands away from the Android operating system. Stop installing your crappy bloatware on my phone without giving me the option to delete it without rooting it. I think the biggest part of the Android system that really drives me crazy is with the updates. The updates are pushed from the developer to the carrier first then to the consumer. Because of that, it takes FOR-EV-ER to get the newest operating system on your phone (if you get it at all). I know that all devices are not compatible with the newest operating system, but the update cycle should be a little better IMO. At least with Apple, everyone gets the update the minute it is released. Not a year later, if at all.
All that said, I know with Android I can root and flash my phone to get whatever operating system I want on it, but I shouldn't have to. I have an LG G3 with 5.0.1 on it. The differences between the G4 and the G3 are minimal, but the G4 has 5.1. Give me a break.

I guess the latest semi trusted rumor (Pocket Now) is that the Note 5 and Edge 6+ WILL have expandable storage

Hmmm may have to look into the G4 then and dump my S5.
I have thought about going back to an iPhone just because of stupid little quirks with my Android experience. But, then I use my iPad and it is a quick reminder why iOS makes me want to punch babies, comparing to Android. Lack of a real notification system and an app drawer are two of the biggest things that drive me bat shit crazy when I use my iPad. I don't want every single one of my apps tiled across the screen. Sure, I can put them in a folder and create my own app drawer, but I shouldn't have to. And don't shove it down my throat that Apple thinks it should be this way either. The Apple way is NOT always my way. I don't think I am alone here.

From a glance though, when a text/message comes in, a bubble pops up. I never checked those though, cause well, it's not my device. When you tap the notification, it doesn't open the app? I'll try this out later to see what it looks like.
Lollipop has put a bad taste in my mouth. Same with two of my other friends who have an S5 and a Note Edge, who have also stuck with Android for years now.
