Oh that's cool. So the BT has to be on I take for the watch to work. I want to get the Moto 360 so this is good to know.

cool, I have the Moto 360.
and yes, the phone has to always have BT on to connect to the watch.
(no major battery drains for me, as I leave it on 24/7)

there's other "smart lock" options, like location.
if you set it up to always be unlocked at home or the office, it'll lock when you leave those dedicated places.

Does anyone have any issues with Textra lately? It fails to send so many messages this entire week for me... It was always on point.

Zero sending issues
ATT Note 4 with Textra, no issues.
I only occasionally have issues sending picture messages to people. I dropped the file size to 200mb and it still happens... shrug.

So this is driving me crazy. On Android (S6 edge), I have the Cubby app. But when I'm in another app where I want to open a file from Cubby, Cubby doesn't show up as on option in the "open from" dialogue. Google, onedrive and dropbox all do (as well as internal storage), but Cubby doesn't. WTF?

So I finally decided on a phone and ended up picking the Black Leather LG G4 on AT&T. After debloating the phone as much as I could, I have to say I really LOVE this phone! The camera is amazing and the Manual camera mode is freaking awesome! I haven't played too much with Manual Mode yet but its amazingly powerful especially being able to control shutter speed which helps it excel in low light situations by locking down the ISO and upping shutter speed.
The memory card expansion and replaceable battery is another plus. This phone has been the best idling phone I have used in a while even much better than the custom ROMs I used to use with custom kernels and deep sleep tweaks. Root isn't available on this phone yet but idle time is amazing on this device. When I'm at work and I'm not using the phone it'll use up 3% total for 5 hours while it is on 4G and full sync and location on! Yes, you read that right, 3% total at idle (receiving texts/emails) without me touching my phone for 5 hours. So far, I've been getting around 4 hours SOT which includes me surfing the web and sending/replying to texts. I don't game much so I can't really give you guys any insight on that aspect.
I bought the phone last Saturday so I got on the free extra battery and 32 GB memory card that LG is giving away. Currently, their new promotion is for an extra leather back and battery which I wish I could've gotten instead of the free 32 GB memory card.
Here are some sample shots at the Grand Central Market which is an indoor grocery/food area in Downtown LA all shot in Auto (Imgur compresses the file a little but you get the idea on the type of detail you can get with the camera):

^These are all untouched, straight from the camera btw.

Shortly, after picking up the LG G4, I went around to go looking to debloating the software since AT&T decided to muck the phone up so much with their useless services and apps that you can't remove with root. They take up RAM and are an eyesore because they sit in your app drawer. The Debloater app does exactly what I wanted without the need for root:

Now, this will not delete the APKs on the phones but rather just disable them. These has some advantages because first of all, the system partition is untouched meaning if you have an OTA, it will not fail. Additionally, if you accidentally disable an important app, you can just re-enable it. This app also will allow you to disable ANY app that the carriers decided to remove the disable function from. It is awesome and allowed me to keep a fairly lean stock LG Rom. All you need is to install the app above on your windows device and enable ADB Debugging with your phone drivers to work. Run the program on your PC and select the apps you want to disable. Done.

Did you get the 3% idle after running this app? I'm REALLY interesting in seeing how your long term battery perforamcne is. I'm considering this phone if my Note 4 craps out next year. ATT Note 2 and 4 with many "disabled" apps and BT and Location off still sucks up the battery fairly quickly.
Team Owner
But did you manually disable items or use the app you linked above? And yeah I set my brightness manually to like 1/8th bright so super dim.

I was able to manually disable 90% of the bloatware straight from the phone. This included mostly AT&T apps like Family, Navigator, MyATT, etc. The other 10% were done using the app I linked above such as Facebook, AT&T SMS Backup and a few others. For whatever reason AT&T doesn't want you disabling Facebook or Twitter so I had to use the app above to force it to be hidden. The Facebook app is battery drainer #1 and I don't really use Facebook...

Here are some screenshots of my idle time this morning. Phone was taken off charger at 6:30 AM. Screenshots were taken around 12:50 PM which is lunch time.:

^The phone stays in my pocket and I don't know if the pedometer is tracking but I didn't set up the LG health app. My G Watch R is tracking my steps for sure though. Overall, I had 2 missed phone calls, received and texted out about 15 messages, received some e-mails, and got some Smart Notifications from LG in that span of 6 hours. This is while my phone is connected to my G Watch R so bluetooth is always on. My Nexus 5 would be at 70-75% at this point of the day with the same usage. Freaking amazing idle time on this phone!

If you're ever in LA check out Poppy + Rose right across the Flower District. Their chicken and waffle is the best thing I've ever tasted.

Waited 3 months for the lollipop 5.1 patch on my S5, now it runs like complete shit, have to reboot it at least daily. Starts lagging, running slow, freezing... Thanks Stunna!

Also, people were able to find the Apps Ops setting without the need for Root! For those who aren't familiar, Apps Ops allows micro level permission management that is now present in Android M. For example, for the Twitter app, I disabled Twitter's access to phone/contacts/location information. Not sure why Twitter needs those things from my phone but in any case I have restricted access to that information with Apps Ops.
Details here for those interested:

It may or may not work on other Lollipop devices?

So I know keep talking about the camera on the LG G4 but here are some Manual shots I took over the weekend straight from my phone no editing:

^Iso 150, Exposure time at 1 second, everything else on Auto. I took these shots without a tripod hence the blurriness in some of the shots although I must say OIS did a pretty good job at minimizing this. I could have probably lowered ISO just a little more as well but I think these came out pretty nice.
