Anyone else experiencing this?
I have my gmail page up on my desktop and also linked to my phone.
Previously (about a week ago and earlier), when I would read an email on the computer (mark it read, etc) in about 30 seconds or less it would show as read on the phone.
All of a sudden, it's taking muuuuuch longer to sync message status on the phone if it does at all.
My lock screen notification is still showing me a message as new that I read on the computer 5 minutes ago...

Bought the Moto X Pure, hope I like it

Yeah, I'm with you on that. That was always a concern with my Nexus phones, but I'm pretty good at taking care of them. The other nice thing is that the Pure has dust/water resistance. I'm just nervous about not being on Marshmallow, because everytime I upgrade a phone to a new OS there's problems. My S5 has never been the same since upgrading to lollipop. God this is a hard decision...

I've done that before and there are pics I take I'd rather delete. Plus it eats data. I think someone mentioned you can have it do that on wifi only

Gotcha. In addition to the standard "Pictures" location on the phone, I also have an icon/app for "Photos" that takes me to the hosted Google photos from where I can delete the photos from the cloud, so your peenie shots stay secret...
I disagree with unanimity

Just picked up a 64GB Nexus 6P. Setting her up now.
Best Buy has a deal going until Feb 6....$449 for gold 32GB or $499 for 64GB and $25 BestBuy gift card. They are the same price on google's store, just without the GC

Got my Moto X Pure 2015 in yesterday, still waiting on a case before I migrate over fully, but took a little size comparison shot next to my work phone (Moto X 2)

If only I had seen this post earlier. I would have tried to push you towards the 6P. The first phone that I have had that 3 months in I really have nothing to complain about.
The Moto X Pure is a good looking phone though.

I loved my Nexus 4 and 5, but I hated the lack of memory and SD slot

I wasn't happy about that either but I had my Nexus 6 without it after I had it with my HTC M8 and it wasn't as bad as I thought. I let Google backup my pictures now so that helps save space at it happens automatically with Photos so I don't have to worry about it. I also went with the 64gb one since it was only $50 more and it should be plenty of space since I have given up on doing custom roms. I even keep about 5-6gb of local music on my phone from Google Play.
If you haven't set it up you should be able to return it

Yes that it is. But I have to say this might be the first phone ever that I make it two full years without doing an upgrade. The longest I have kept a phone before this for my last 6 phones is 1 year. That is how happy I have been with the phone. Obviously everyone is different though.

Had you gone and played with the 6P at Best Buy at all?

The 6Ps are a bit hit or miss if the store has them. Mine did not.
The nice thing about the Moto X and Marshmallow is that you can go with the lower level of storage and not really notice much difference. Treats the microSD just like internal.
The other great thing about the Moto X is I think they make the very best Android experience there is. Stock, decently timed updates (I got 6.0 in a soak test two weeks later than Nexus, IIRC), and the UI upgrades that actually work.

So some updates, I'm loving the X Pure so far, runs smooth as hell, and is very responsive, just like my X 2 that I use for work. The 21 MP camera is very impressive and I love the zoom with a finger option. I was able to transfer my SD card with no issue and view all of my files from my S5. Marshmallow runs great and is very snappy and responsive, however as the reviews that I read stated, on 6.0 the battery life is a bit short. The 6.01 update is supposed to fix this, but doesn't appear to be available for my phone yet. Otherwise, no major complaints with this phone, and I didn't even have to teach autocorrect swear words

Sounds like Galaxy S7 will have SD memory again.
I shoot people
if this happens, then chances are the Note 6 will too... if so, then I'm holding out for the Note 6. I currently have the Note 3 and it's the longest I've ever held onto a phone. Stretching it out until the Note 6 will be worth it if the SD card is brought back. I no longer care about the battery being enclosed

G5 sounds interesting as well with the battery module. Tomorrow will be interesting.

so, external storage IS back with the S7... tempted. Or wait for the Note 6?

Battery on S7 is not removable. I've had issues with the USB charger plug staying in the phone with a case on. I like that my Note 4 has a removable battery as I have an extra battery with charging case so I never plug my phone directly anymore.
Sadly also with the S7 they didn't use the SD card like they did with other phones and integrating the phone memory. Plus they lowered the MP but they said it shoots better pics. I understand that but Johnny consumer might be nah fuk dat cuz marketing.

So Marshmallow offers one of the best storage solutions in ages, and Samsung says no thanks... Typical Samsung

I'm thinking Sammy couldn't figure out how to utilize the SD card, Marshmallow, and Touchwiz with the new storage options.
