I don't care either. I could have a Zach Morris phone so long as it has the screen size I want.

I'm hoping we hear more details about the 360 at I/O. I'm looking more toward that than any particular phone, as I'm still in love with my One. With signs pointing toward a larger iPhone and possibly a wearable, it's going to be a fun summer and early fall.

Screensize is the new horsepower rating. It's all about the torque that's not advertised

The entire industry is now really built around it. From R&D down to reviews. It's how a smartphone is categorized. Blame companies for beginning to market it that way, not people for referring to a standardized statistical point of reference. So many hands, pockets, user experiences are different I'm not sure how well actual smartphone size would be taken as a non-subjective point of reference. You'd have to really go by width, as diagonal measurements can really be thrown off by features like speakers. The length is way less important than the width.

You want to beat the drum for people to not emphasize screen real estate, fine. Just don't complain when your hands cramp up.

I wonder how the Flex would be categorized. Bigger than the Note 3 I think but very ergonamic for hands to reach the opposite upper corner one handed.

I'm intrigued by how it feels and fits in a pocket. Can't imagine too comfortably in a front jeans pocket.

If you have a phone you are happy with, then both of the following are downgrades (everything else being equal):
1) a phone of the same phone size, but a smaller screen
2) a phone with the same size screen, but a bigger max phone size.

So realistically, you should quote both - they are both important, but in some ways contradicting since their ideals move in opposite directions. A tradeoff, as with all things. Just like with cars, it's always a good idea to have a variety of sizes to sell to each market.

I've always wondered about the people who migrate to larger and larger phones - are they just gradually giving up some onehanded tasks, or did they never use it in the first place?

having the Note 3, I can do pretty much everything (that's everything I DO, for MY needs, which isn't necessarily the same for everyone else). Yeah, doing the Swype style typing (but I use Swiftkey Flow) is a bit harder, but as mentioned previously (I think last page), you can easily make the screen smaller on the fly if you need to. That being said, everything else is better in terms of my daily usage, watching movies (YouTube, Netflix or uploaded), games, being able to read easier (because I ALWAYS opt for the desktop version of whatever websites vs "mobile version"). I don't use a bulky Ottobox type case (only when I'm working out or doing cardio), so the Note 3 fits just fine in my front pocket (but No, I don't wear skinny jeans either)...When I hold a regular size phone now, they all just seem so small... and this really didn't even take a long time to get used to. Maybe a couple days at most.

Cerberus is giving away free licenses again for the next 30 hours! All you have to do is make an account with them. The app is far more extensive than Android Device Manager.

I think you're going to hear a good bit about Android Wear and it will give some kind of idea about time frame and perhaps price range.

Yes but you can always track your device with any browser by logging on their website. There you can use any of the available trigger commands:

http://cerberusapp.com/

Or you can forego the client and a browser and use SMS commands. The texts are never sent to the device but are instead intercepted by cerberus so the person who took your device will never know you triggered them.

The following commands are available (remember to replace *password* with your actual password, also remember that the password is case-sensitive):

cerberus password find   (to locate your device)
cerberus password siminfo   (to get SIM card info)
cerberus password lock code   (to lock your device with a password, replace *code* with the lock code you desire)
cerberus password unlock   (to unlock your device)
cerberus password alarm text   (to display a message and play a loud alarm, replace *text* with the message you want to be displayed)
cerberus password message text   (to display a message, replace *text* with the message you want to be displayed)
cerberus password speak text   (to make the device speak a message, replace *text* with the message you want to be spoken)
cerberus password call number   (to call a phone, replace *number* with the phone number you want to call, or don't write a number to make Cerberus call the sms sender)
cerberus password takepicture   (to take a picture and send it to your email address, the front camera will be used if available)
cerberus password capturevideo   (to capture a video and send it to your email address)
cerberus password screenshot   (to grab a screenshot and send it to your email address)
cerberus password wipe   (to wipe your device memory)
cerberus password wipesd   (to wipe the SD card)
cerberus password startemergency hours   (to make the device send its location periodically, replace *hours* with the number of hours from one alert to the next)
cerberus password stopemergency   (to stop emergency mode, the device will stop sending its location periodically)
cerberus password enabledata   (to enable data access on your device)
cerberus password enablewifi   (to enable WiFi and automatically connect to open networks)
cerberus password disabledata   (to disable data access on the device)
cerberus password disablewifi   (to disable WiFi)
cerberus password enableroaming   (to enable data roaming)
cerberus password reboot   (to reboot the device (works only on rooted devices))
https://www.cerberusapp.com/help.php

I also created a filter in GMail that automatically marks any incoming e-mail from Cerberus as read so that they don't trigger in my GMail app on my device when looking for my phone or tablet. Especially helpful when you remotely take a picture, screenshot, getting location info, etc. Makes the whole process really hidden because no one ever knows I did anything to try and track my device.

Yes. Cerebus is pay, but the client is free.
I think you'd normally use the client when you are out and about on a friend's phone to track down your own phone.

There is a very slick 'radar mode' on the client -
It enables wifi hotspot on your phone, and then uses the signal strength to find your phone.

I'm on T-mobile so I have to pay full price anyway.
For some reason, the HTC One and M8 both never appealed to me. People rave about the design and build quality (excellent) of HTC, but I much prefer the rectangular design of Sony.

I've been using the Nokia 925 as a second phone for about two weeks (200$ 'brand new' from Newegg though the product wasn't completely sealed. hmm) Build quality is excellent and feels good in the hand. Windows Phone is fun too but Android will always be my first choice.

On the upside, at least on T-mobile you are not overpaying for a phone like all the other contract carrier plans.

$200 for the 925 is a good price. You could've prob gotten a slightly used Nexus 4 for that price too.

Okay, I lied. I'm not getting the S5.
But needless to say, the Note 4 suddenly became MUCH more interesting to me. Assuming of course, it'll acquire the S5 fingerprint sensor and the API is roughly the same so it'll work on the Note 4.
