Okay, I lied. I'm not getting the S5.
But needless to say, the Note 4 suddenly became MUCH more interesting to me. Assuming of course, it'll acquire the S5 fingerprint sensor and the API is roughly the same so it'll work on the Note 4.

No it is not. Stop it. Everyone is being stupid about this just because one guy decided to join 2 rumors together and spread it around.
Just like the G+ hating techcrunch that started the G+ is dead rumor and now people are running like idiots with it.

Is there any downside to the Verizon Edge plans?
I currently have 900min, 500sms and 2GB for $99/month plus tax/fees.
Edge would be unlimited talk/text and w/2GB data for $90/month +.
Rep just said I could do a "no cost handset upgrade" to the MotoX if I switched to edge plan...

VERY tempted to get the motoX today from moto directlty...
I Read those too. The only thing is, I usually do want a new handset every year based ONLY on performance. My phones seem to really slow down after a year.
I believe when the rep said no cost handset upgrade, he meant you pay nothing up front but you end up paying full price for the device throughout your new contract in addition to paying $90/month.
If you want a Moto X today, just grab it straight from the Moto X website sale today. Can even get a Developer Edition model that will work on Verizon.
They throw in a free skip too.

Looked at mine. I have 5.7B of App/App data, 843mb of pics and vidoes. Had the phone since December.
I'm sure you'll be fine though. You also get 50GB of google drive storage for two years, so you can have your photos backed up to google+ at full resolution easily. Just in case you need more space you can get rid of pics on your phone and still have them.
Its a good phone though!
Also I dont think the london event will have the next moto x+1 in it. Maybe some clues. They're supposed to be introducing another low cost phone. I think Moto E is the rumored name. Dunno the credibility of this though.

Hmm. Don't remember if we talked about Pressy (kickstarter campaign product that adds a physical button to your headphone jack) on this thread, but I think Dimple is going to be much better. Requires NFC.

I think I'm going to buy one to try out - I'm probably the only person on Azine that wants to add more physical buttons to my phone and tablet.
Sorry M8 users, apparently the metal body of the M8 interferes with NFC...

Probably because of my large phone fetish, I can't stand the on-screen shutter button. Having one on the side is much more ergonomic, and would make one handed shots infinitely easier.
Also double click for flashlight is total win.
NFC sticker is a neat idea, but pressy is more 'portable' if you switch phones/cases a lot. Also I'm not sure if you can assign double-click/hold/etc functions to each nfc button. I assume not.
Moto X arrived last night.
Finally got it set up like I wanted.
Skip is "ok"...
You have hold it over the skip for a full second. By "over" I mean basically in direct contact with the correct part of the phone.
I seem to be getting better at getting it to wake and unlock quickly though, so maybe it's user error.
Not as practical as I had hoped, but there is the "keep unlocked" feature when connected to a known BT device which is nice.

I have mine to lock after 10 minutes of screen off time so I dont need to keep entering the pw.
My maps hasnt updated yet, but its still updated in the voice. It now says "Use the right two lanes to take the 5 South" Its awesome!
