Android: Phone News and Discussion Thread
So I got curious if the Galaxy Nexus could fit inside the Bluetooth Keyboard case I got for the Nexus 7. (See Android Tablet thread.) And here's the results. Sorry ahead of time for the crappy quality. Only had my Galaxy S i9000T on hand and it doesn't have flash.:

It barely fits! The hump is at the edge of fitting so it only fits without a case. The Verizon version would probably fit a little better since its a little more uniform in shape compared to the GSM version so its slightly off balance. Portrait mode works but I wouldn't use it that way without supporting it just a little more on the back. I'm thinking of lining up the slot of the keyboard with some felt to avoid possible scratches but we'll see what happens. As expected, everything works just fine with the keyboard. Also the phone is showing off the AOSP browser with the software buttons hidden via Gesture Control. The keyboard has the buttons so you could technically get by with them hidden and even then I have gestures for the software buttons any way.

You should just buy it and then sell the GNex to minimize losses haha or sell the N4 at ebay prices to make profit for the next round.

Lol. I wish I was the type to resell my stuff but I like to hold on to my toys even after they get old. I eventually hand them down to relatives or so but I like to tinker with them even after they're very old. Not the most economic way of owning things though.
Yeah same here. I'm giving my old phone to my mom, or turn it into a ROM tastic phone......or portable Ubuntu.
Well that was quick. Lol. I think it sold out again. I wanted to see the price on the Play Store after taxes and everything. Had the 4 added to my cart with a shipping estimate of 1-2 weeks then saw the bumper. Went to check if the Bumper was in stock, nope. After going back to my cart, the phone was gone. Lol. Maybe Google is trolling everyone. They probably only had 10 to sell or something.

Guys, I'm using Internet Explorer with Bing and buying a Nokia 920 lol.
This is embarrassing!
So the story goes that 2 weeks ago, Google only had 50,000 phones in stock but oversold it to a bout 5 million people.
Those idiots running the Play Store obviously did not learn the first time around and now they are just angering their loyal followers.

Google did massively underestimate demand for a high spec unit at a bargain basement price. I want to know how bad it was bungled.

Because you wanted to know: 1 phone costs about $386 total including taxes and shipping. Shipping does not change as long as it is one order. There is only 1 option for 2-day shipping at $13.99
Once I received the confirmation email from Google, my instant reaction was: WOJOIJDOKSFJJGGGGGGGGGGGGGUUFUFUFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUU UUUUUUUUU WHAT HAVE I DONE?????!!!!!
They won't let you cancel/change your order for the first hour lol. I think that's just a cruel torturing plan by Google. I really hope this phone lasts for the next 5 years cause by then LTE should be working properly everywhere and only then will I need to get a new phone......and have the money to do it hahahaaaaaa I want to cry

That's interesting. Apply it and check your Android version. I just manually applied the 4.2.1 update without unrooting and changing my kernel back to stock. My root remained intact and so did my custom kernel.
