Can I have that PM too please?
I went back to the Tmobile store today and fixed my Nexus4 pricing so I was just charged 199 which is the way it should have been from the beginning. Some of these reps can be so dumb which is why I order directly from Tmobile usually.
So any help with rooting the Nexus4? Good websites I should look at? First time Nexus owner here and all help will be appreciated

XDA will have everything you need:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1907
Root Guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1993331
You will need to unlock your bootloader and need the ADB drivers installed. Unlocking your bootloader will delete everything! So backup all of your stuff if you need to. Watch some YouTube vids as well.
Right now the LG Nexus 4 isn't open sourced yet but it should be coming. No ETA when that'll happen.
Watch this to learn how to install the drivers:
Download the drivers for Nexus 4 here and follow the video using these drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1992345
Then after the drivers are installed, follow the commands in that thread just copy and paste. Until someone makes a toolkit, this will be the only method. The Toolkit will probably be up any time now though.

You will also need the Android SDK installed before you can do the fastboot commands, etc:
If you can't follow the instructions above, just wait for the ToolKit. It'll be a one-click backup, root, recovery. Just keep in mind that unlocking the bootloader will erase everything so if you're thinking about doing it later, might want to lay back on the customizations until you do that. Its a one time thing.

AND just in case anyone hasn't had their fill of Google goodness today...

^That would be so sweet. It would definitely change the cell phone market if they did that. Same thing that they're doing with Google Fiber.
Does anyone know what this whole Ingress game the Ninantec@Google released today on the Play Store is all about?

Seems to be an Augmented Reality game that's currently invite only. It would probably go great with Google Glass from the description but why make it invite only? I've seen a lot of people posting on G+ about joining two different teams, the Enlightened vs. the Resistance, battling for portals and energy sources? I'm lost. Lol.

All the viral ads courtesy of Niantic Labs told us something was coming, and now its here -- an alternate reality game from Google called Ingress. The theme is one of worldwide mind control, and it'll be played out in real life, where you'll be a part of one of two teams which either embrace or fight "the power" -- The Enlightened or The Resistance, respectively. With a companion mobile app installed, you'll venture out into the world collecting energy known as "Exotic Matter" (XM), found at real locations. This can then be spent claiming, stealing or reinforcing "portals," which are positioned at key public places. Teamwork will be essential, as the goal is to create zones controlled by your faction, and attacking those occupied by the enemy. One team will eventually win, although this end point is expected to be a year to 18 months down the line.
John Hanke of Niantic Labs said some of the inspiration for Ingress came from JJ Abrams, and hardcore Lost fans may remember a similarly cryptic internet 'game' focused around the show. The Ingress app is available on Google Play today, with an iOS version in the pipe, and if you want you play, sign up at the source below to request access. Your mobile device will provide you with an overview of your local battlefield when you're out and about, but a web client can keep you up to date on the global war while you're sat at a computer. Check out the video and app screenshots below, and if you're still confused as to what it's all about -- well, that's how they want you to feel.

LOL I ended up reading a bunch of first hand accounts from people who already got theirs, and immediately regretted it.... but can't stop. It's like crack! I feel sad not pulling the trigger when I had the chance at 8:31am on Monday

fine by me
The screenshots look interesting. My stream on G+ has a lot of people fighting the enlightened and the resistance. It would be a fun game to play in a large city. Some people are saying that Google released this game to collect pedestrian data which makes sense as the game requires a lot of walking. Basically the game is a disguised data collector probably to improve foot navigation in maps amongst whatever other plans they have with the data they collect.
Motorola seems to be straightening out their product line since Google acquired them so they're looking good update wise now. With that said, a lot of people are complaining that the M's screen is a bit disappointing compared to the other screen techs out there so if you don't like AMOLED screens and the Pentile then you might be turned off by the M.

It requires you to walk to major landmarks. It stops working if you're in a car so they're really pushing people to use this while they're walking. Someone theorized it was in response to Nokia's Here Maps for foot navigation. By making this game, they're making people go out there and collect data points, wifi ssid, and other information behind the scenes while having fun at the same time. Maybe that's why there isn't a plot to the game. More of a virtual turf war between the Enlightened and the Resistance.
Interesting. The Nexus 4 has a 7 Band LTE Chip:

I wonder if its just disabled. Some people are saying it has the same board as the Optimus G. If that's the case, they can probably have the drivers to enable it...Have to keep an eye on this. Maybe Google has plans to enable it eventually pending their rumored Google/Dish Wireless Network.

Might be a licensing issue or AT&T wanted to have a say with the phone if they were to allow the phone onto their LTE network officially. Interesting to see what the XDA guys can do with this. Hopefully its not a hardware lock. Maybe this is what's preventing it from hitting AOSP so soon.
Because there is no antenna or power supply connected to this chip. So...... it's a nice thing, but it doesn't work. That's why I'm still hoping for a 32gb LTE version in a few months.
Also for the most part, that TV shut off animation is pretty limited to the Nexus and AOSP line. Most skins get rid of the animation for whatever reason. You could hack it back in if you have root and know how to decompile recompile the framework.jar but the average user would never do that.
The reason is, he's one of the biggest self proclaimed Apple fanboys out there that reviews tech. He trashed the Surface, more than once, if you look at his other videos and many other non-Apple related products. He also claims that he's reviewed other Android products before but none caught his interest except for the 4.
